This is awesome. I was under the understanding that formation flying simulator wise was a lot harder than in real life but you lot prove it can be done with a bit of practice. Like the sounds too. Thanks for showing this I really enjoyed it.

Nice.Try doing it in a flight simulator ,not a combat simulator :) The thing at 5:14 is NOT possible.The way those two planes are,its as if they dont have wings,so they cant fly like that.Ive played Lock On and i can confirm ,this is NOT easy to do ,but still pretty easy compared to lets say microsoft flight sim.

@Dyils the manuever at 5:14 IS possible with the right aeroplane. Yes even in real life...and it's called a Knife Edge ;) you get Knife Edge loops...spins...

@UnlimitedRC It is possible only for a short amount of time and with the nose pointing a little bit at the sky.And only for a few seconds.The way they do it is still NOT possible.The knife edge stunt that you described is just the airplane falling towards the ground with his wing pointing at it.

@UnlimitedRC This is nowhere near what the guys in the video do.Ofcourse it will be able to fly like that with its nose up in the air if its powerful and light.Also in the video you gave me,the airplane isnt completly standing with its wing pointing at the ground.There is still a little part of the wings which creates lift + the nose up in the air and there you go :) What i ment was the thing they did in the video mate :)

@Dyils yip but you gotta remember a well designed fuselage on it's side can produce a lot of lift too. I also fly RC aerobatics and we commonly perform extended knife edges without the nose pointing high into the sky, knife edge loops etc etc. Just message me if you want some video ;) Some extreme examples can produce so much lift that no rudder is needed in knife edge to maintain KE flight...
