The reason why Einstein theroy doesn't work for the model of things small as beginning of the Universe when all things were condensed into a atom is because maybe it didn't happen that way. That should be a option.
I thought time were something man made to organize and systemize daily routines, and that time is constant wherever you may be. Is it possible to define time?
i once did a small stage at an italian agency that use gps systems to monitor subsidence (ground level lowering due to water drainage underneath). I was just staggered by the movement precision those gps's provided. just a few millimeters!!! O.o
@letsgetverydrunk GPS for public usage is usually less accurate than for US military. This is to give the US a very large tactical advantage over other nation. -It prevented the enemy from using GPS in guided missiles or to prevent them from performing a high-precision attack. (For example: latest US artillery shell and missile is GPS guided. No where on earth we can find a GPS guided artillery shell except in USA).
Brian, we live in an Electric Universe, not a gravitational universe.
Black Holes, gravity waves, dark matter, dark energy and all this other conjured up stuff do not exist. We need to stop wasting money searching for new particles and forces invented by mathematicians. A good measure of a theory is its ability to predict the outcome of new observations or explain them without introducing additional tailor-made concepts.
@arsenelupin123 especially when its from a single point xD the big bang happened everywhere at once.. they know that, so why the big explosions from one point lol
@arsenelupin123 What would you picture it like then? Or would you rather not picture at all what cannot be pictured, but we need to communicate somehow, though words and pictures fail us.
Imagine a grid of space where the distance between any two points of the grid is the same. Now shrink this distance as much as you can, and imagine it goes to zero: the whole universe will "shrink". Do the opposite, it expands. The big bang is only the transformation of space, not an explosion that brings about space. We don't know how space occured but only how it evolved. That's why I think the picture is misleading.
The name big bang is a misnomer. All we know is that at some point the universe was very small and dense and started to expand. The big bang is not an explosion in space, it is an expansion OF space from a very small size. We have no idea why it was so small at that time, or if it was really the beginning.
This is a bit hard to visualize at first, but you can get used to it!
I've read about L.I.G.O. They should have explained a bit more about how it work. The amount of precision in those (very, very, very, very, very small) mirrors is beyond belief. In any case, this is a great documentary. Very sad that it only has this many views in over a year. Thank you from a great admirer of science (especially physics).

What language is that? Romanian? Hungarian?

I wish they would stop showing the big bang as some type of explosion.

@uSkyrim Of course time isn't man made, our measurement of time however is. Time has existed from the beginning of "time"

Damn I hate when they picture the big bang as a freaking explosion.

@arsenelupin123 I'm going to look it up right now but how should the big bang be pictured if not an explosion O.o?
