  • Well don sir

  • drink should i sip on while smoking? what cigars to you recommend i start with? well sorry for getting long winded. hope to hear from you.

  • replicate the flavors. i was trying to go slow and keep the cigar cool but i think the main problem is that where i buy my cigar they dont have them stored properly. Maybe they are to dry? what do dry cigars taste like? Any way i found my self back and thought id try another so i got a Cuesta Rey Centenario Robusto, same problem i think they are to dry although i did get a mild chocolate taste and a coffee taste out of it. Questions, is it normal to have to spit while i smoke? what type of ...

  • Brian, first id like to say that i really enjoy your videos. Ive wanted to start smoking cigars for a long time and finally did. I found my self with the Don Thomas clasico and let me tell you it was horrible because i was just drawing on it and got it to hot. so i watched you channel and went out and got me a CAO Gold robusto and i actually enjoyed it. I didnt get all the flavors you explain but i did get this draw where all the flavors scared me because it was so good. but i was not able to...

  • Awesome

  • Brian, I wanted to thank you for all of your help. I'm 27 and earlier this year I never smoked a cigar in my entire life, but always wanted to try one. From watching this video and many others, I was able to make my first cigar an enjoyable experience. I have now bought a 32 cigar sampler pack and a humidor, purchases I feel very good about thanks to your opinions and advice. I'm now proud to call myself a cigar smoker, it's become a very pleasurable pass time I hope to enjoy for years to come.

  • Thanks man, this was awesome!

  • very helpful i quit smoking about 3 years ago and still cant smoke a full cigarette, i literraly get sick to my stomack(even menthols) my step dad is cuban and i bought some cigars for myself glad to say not sick feeling (except the first time because like a regular cigarette i tried to inhale) but overall love the cigar

  • Good video

  • You wont get tar in your lungs either; your saliver actually is a self clensing system aswell; this means chance of cancer dramaticly goes down and you still get a rush for a 3 hour long engoyable fag ;)

  • Apart from the park avenue have you found a good flavourful Gurkha cigar yet.

  • Finally--finally----Finally. A cigar channel worth watching. I hardly ever subscribe to channels but I will on this one.

  • Comment removed

  • You may just be the God of cigar smoking.

  • LORD!

  • How can u get a nicotine rush if you dont even inhale?

  • @wilzcu It is still easily absorbed through the mouth tissues and saliva.

  • @cigarobsession really? ok, i smoked my first cigar yesterday, didnt really feel a rush but that may be due to my excessive use of snus :D

  • @cigarobsession

I can't bring my humidity in my humidor down... I bought some Xikar gel crystals and my humidity is a steady 74-75%... Any tips on how to bring it down

    Thanks

  • @jtstookz Gel and other one way passive systems never absorb humidity, the only way to bring it down is to use a good two way system such as Heartfelt Beads or to a lesser extent Humidipaks.

  • @cigarobsession Thanks for the tip. I bought some Boveda packs. I finally got my humidity to drop. Thanks again!

  • This guy has a lot of good tips.

  • What cigar would you recommend for a first timer, within a reasonable price range?

your passion for cigars gets the viewer really interested and relaxed, keep making vids!

  • this is the most straight up vidio i have seen thanks im a beginner and i watched the other posts on how to behave with a cigar and how to pick the right on in the store thanks and even though im new you definetly know what you're talking about

  • very informative- thank you

  • fuck cigarettes im going to cigars

  • 8 people don't know what opinion is =))

    Great video, as always.

  • hey im a rookie and i was wondering how do you put out a cigar??

  • @chrishession1234 well its fire so same as any other ember or ash or flame. suffocate it

  • @chrishession1234 You don't, just set it down in an ashtray and it will go out in a few minutes.

  • Fine video bro, had no idea about all of this.

  • Very informative sir! Just what I was looking for. Former cigarette smoker myself. Although that was years ago, I find myself puffing pretty quick, and MAN does my stomach let me know. I've settled on perfectos and torpedo head styles so I can cut it small to limit the draw (un-learning bad habits). Again, great vid.

  • Awesome video, really in-depth but with good explanations of other points of view. Really appreciate it.

  • how would you flick the ashes on a cigar please respond im kinda a rookie

  • @gabeman121 If you feel it's getting too long and might drop off soon, you simply tap the cigar gently with your finger over an ashtray. If it's not ready and doesn't drop off there's nothing more you need to do.

  • @cigarobsession actually if it's getting too long you can place the tip of the ash in your ash tray and slightly roll it in the tray and it should break off clean. Great videos.

  • I fully agree with you! Everything you said is spot on.

I smoked cigs for 20 years just like you and after quiting four years I started smoking a Cigar once in a while.

One you don't wanna inhale, two blowing out smoke through your nose ruins the experience just like you siad.

I like to puff on my cubans and taste the flavour, that's all I like to do.

Not letting them get to warm is also what i do not want.

  • well said that first 25sec.

thx a lot ive always wanted to smoke a cigar. 5/5

  • Nice vid, well explained so a big thanks from the UK.

  • Superjerk.. Jesus. You shouldn't be allowed to smoke cigars!

  • like not just alittle bit threw your nose, your throat . im having one tomorrow so i needa know lol

  • hey , im just wondering but why arent we supposed to inhale it

  • @superjerkWOO cuz the tobacco is much stronger than cigarettes. my friend inhaled a whole cuban cigar, and he got nicotine poison lol xD. its not meant to be inhaled

  • i love your videos and reviews, screw the haters!! keep going at it!

  • just one question: what do you think about v-cutters? I did only smoke a few cigarres, enjoyed the flavour, but i always used a v-cutter. i felt comfortable with it, but maybe v-cutters destroy a bit of the flavour? greetings from germany and great video

  • @badken33 watch my cutter comparison video

  • @cigarobsession great...thx a lot :D

  • I'm wandering if you can help me. I never normally smoke cuban cigars, normally just 4-5 inch cigars that are a bit thinner, like King Six's for example. Are they more like cigarettes than cigars or am I wrong?

  • @RFLXProduction small format cigars, are often called cigarillos, and are to be smoked just like cigars, they usually just last a lot shorter.

  • Clearly you care or you wouldn't have gone on a rant to start the video about your opinions

  • @CollectorCole No, I jut care about my video comments being filled up with garbage, so I don't have to police it :)

  • Great vid. one rule any real cigar smoker goes by and hates when other "non" cigar smokers do is, NO BIC LIGHTERS! Matches or Butane

  • @joeycigars12 Um, you meant Zippo. BICs are butane. ;)

  • @cigarobsession

Hi man! I'm going to Cuba this summer, and I want to taste a thin light (nicotine) cigar. I have never been smoking anything before. Any advice on what brand that would fit my request? Thanks a lot champ, awesome video.

  • @SuperMefisto6666

Oh, and I forgot to add that I would love a short one. So that's a short, thin and light (nicotine) cigar.

  • Thanks for the quick reply ad helpin me to become a better cigar smoker.

  • Would you recommend cutting the end of the cigar if it goes out and then relight it?

  • @plokeew You can certainly do that especially if it didn't burn very evenly. If you just sat it down and it went out then you can just tap off the ash and relight. The longer it sits after going out the worse it will taste.

  • best video about the matter there is on youtube!

  • Love this video

  • good job

  • excellent, just enjoyed my first Macanudo Cru Royale for completing a project! Thanks for your guidance on how to do it the correct way : )

  • Great video Bryan! I'm not a regular smoker but I do enjoy the occasional Toscano.

  • "IT'S OPINION"

    Love it!

    Great vids.

  • I was inhaling, I should have watched this before I smoked my cigar. Now I got a stomach ache. LoL.

  • Awesome video mate, I love the way your so clear and concise. Always straight to the point and really really informative. Great job!!

  • PRO !!!! very nice video ...educating i'm a beginner in smoking cigars and this video really helped me .... THANKS

  • Its Bill Hicks!

  • I just turned 18 and I want to smoke one I would want something really sweet but affordable at the same time any suggestions

  • Thanks, Bryan. A really useful and informative video. I am just discovering your site and appreciate your work.

  • Is it bad for cigars to have contact with light coming from my windows? And is it ok to keep them in the cigar box with it closed?

  • Cut em, light em, smoke em. Lesson completed.

  • Can you press the cigar flat against a hot electric stove to light it?

  • @CardModFilms Wouldn't it be easier to just go to a 711 and ask for a pack of matches?

  • @travelholic91 of course, but pressing it to a hot plate will give it an even burn all over, much like a cigartte lighter but for cigars?

  • so are they strictly for taste, no specific feel (high) what so ever?

  • @jessebackman99 Strength of the cigar rates the nicotine rush, body rates the flavour. If you're looking for a nicotine rush or 'high' feeling, then you need to look for a full body (and vice versa)

  • so why is it important to keep the ash for as long as possible?

  • Thank you for a very well done & informative video.

  • Cool thank you. What happened with the smoke when you took the last puff there is nothing comming out?

  • geez! this video must be from forever ago!! i have to check out these older videos from before i subbed!!!

  • Excellent video! Informative and easy to grasp. I went through and responded to some people's questions with my own opinion, hope you don't mind. By the way, what were you smoking in the video? And how much did that "Perfect Cut" run you?

  • @JakeSudds12 Don't mind at all - thanks! The Perfect Cutter is about $15. I don't remember what I was smoking.

  • @cigarobsession Cool, thank you!

  • @JakeSudds12 That looks like a Pinar Del Rio Clasico. Nice smoke for the price.

  • @HiVolume Thanks! I will give that one a try

  • Great how to guidelines and suggestions I'm smoking cheap skinny ones, anyone got pointers for me ima noob :(

  • @GamingGorilla808 You mean cigarillos? Nothin too fancy you need to do about them, they usually come pre-cut and everything, same basic rules though. Dont inhale, dont extinguish and let it sit, smooth infrequent draws, etc.

  • I completely ruined this 10 dollar cigar i bought

I wish i had watched this video first : /

  • I asked you a question nice and you really helped me. I came to you because you're smart. I don't smoke, I had one cigar once but I may like to try another. What's the best way to know what flavor it will be? Like I know there are "woody" kinds and sweet kinds. How do I know? Thanks!

  • @UrbanArtifact Well that's kinda tricky. Different brands make cigars in very different ways. Aroma can be an indicator sometimes, color as well. Often you will find that the darker the cigar is, the fuller the flavor. The best way to find out the general flavor of a cigar before you buy it though is to ask someone, whether it be a fellow smoker whose had that particular one or the generally very helpful staff at a cigar shop. :)

  • It is obvious that you know what you are talking about, it is kinda impressive. I liked that. Any suggestions for the drink?

  • Very informative,sir.Thanks a lot!

  • GOOD TIP ON TOASTING A CIGAR , I SMOKED SEVERAL AND I NEVER HAVE DONE BEFORE ,THANK YOU FOR TIP I WILL TRY IT .

  • nice video. what is a good starting cigar?

  • @beast555444333 Well, if you've never smoked before I would go with something mild so that it doesnt overpower you and make you sick, look for the lighter wrappers. If you're use to cigarettes you may wanna try something a little fuller, but no too full. Look for the middle ranged shades of wrappers for those. And, as always, feel free to ask the attendant at the shop :)

  • any advice for mini cigars like black and mild original? i like full on cigars when i can get 'em but i mostly get black and mild

  • @FUgemaniaCKisawsUm B&M are closer to being cigarettes, they have nothing in common with premium handrolled cigars other than being made from tobacco.

  • @cigarobsession thank you

  • @FUgemaniaCKisawsUm B&Ms are actually pipe tobacco wrapped in a tobacco paper made from pressed tobacco. Nothing really special that you need to do for them though, though I personally wouldn't inhale a B&M, but whatever floats your boat :)

  • great advice thanks for all the info

  • The best info I've seen on the cigar smoking process!

  • Great video! Can you recommend a good "firstcigar" with a decent price? :)

  • I'm a pipe smoker and I want to get into cigars. I tried cigar flavoured pipe tobacco to start. With pipes, it's considered okay to leave a pipe and resume it later, and you can choose how much to put in the bowl. Can I start a cigar and extinguish it? Do the flavours change whem this is done? Thanks in advance.

  • @Capitanvolume No, once you start a cigar you must finish it. Relighting significantly changes the flavor, and letting it sit makes it really nasty.

  • @cigarobsession Thank you, that's useful info.

  • @cigarobsession

I've had a completely different experience - then again I follow about a 10 minute ritual as far as storing an extinguished cigar.

  • @Capitanvolume you can put out and re light a cigar aslong as it is half of its original length

  • thanks dude

  • I'm just getting into cigars and I wanted 2 no ur opinion on what cigars are good and what flavors are good?! I'm looking for a cigar that I like so I can just start ordering them instead of just trying them out! Help me out!

  • would you consider a mach a natruel flame

  • thank you very much !

  • Great Video, I am glad that there are some people in Youtube land that has class and passion with what they do. I have to say I like that Cigar that your Smoking in this vid, The Pinar Del Rio is a great cigar for me. Little on the milder side then what I smoke for my daily goto cigar. But I can ash a Box of them over a month easy. Sharing a few with some Local BOTL's. Keep up the Great VIds.

  • Excellent video bud!!!!

  • it's preference...

  • Your photography is bitchin..

  • @gwildor Thank you!

  • @pinoypower247 You'll find your balance...

  • @pinoypower247 That's called the band. It's personal choice - I tend to put it down when it shifts near the end, some don't mind pushing on.

  • @pinoypower247 The wrapper is the outer leaf, you just mean the head. You don't put a cigar out you just set it down, they go out in a couple minutes on their own.

  • Very informative & detailed, thnx for the tips, I'm a new cigar smoker

  • great video man! love watching them!

  • just a question, how do i extinguish a cigar.

  • @galaxymode It goes out on it's own in a minute or two.

  • Thanks mate you helped me alot

  • Thank you. Great description of how to get the most enjoyment from your cigar. A friend of mine was having trouble, and it's now clear that he draws to hard thereby getting a sharp (want to spit) taste rather than the cool smokey intent of the cigar.

Was wondering; I sometimes knock the ash off quickly as I don't want to drop it in my lap. However, it occurrs to me that this makes the cigar go out, if I don't step up the babying. Does a good amount of ash help keep the cigar burning right?

  • @mem89756 Yes you want as large an ash as possible for the best cherry and smoke. It's ok to tap/roll it off if it's getting too long for comfort though. Some cigars hold for as little as 1/2" some go 4"+ easily. You just have to try and see.

  • @cigarobsession I never knew that, but it makes total sense. Just tried it with a cigar, and it makes a big difference in my opionion. Thank you!!!

  • @killinnoobs28 of course, my grandad has smoked montecristo's for 40 years.. hes ok

pretty lucky of you ask me

  • I love your videos.im only 18 but I enjoy a good cigar,a good cigarette, and good properly brewed coffee. Not sure if you like any of the three?

  • @buttmunch78 I'll pass on the cigarette, but a coffee and a cigar sounds like a nice after-dinner treat to me.

  • Really good to teach how to correct smoke a sigar!

  • but when you exhale smoke out of your nose don't you need to inhale a little bit?

  • Great vid man very imformative, seem like a good dude too

  • this was good, thanks

  • good stuff, i am wondering what is the point of keeping the super large ash attached to the cigar? is it just a test thing for the review or is there a specific reason for it? my only guess is that it helps the cherry to stay smaller and cooler?

  • @l1ttleguy1 Hmmm I thought I mentioned that in the vid, maybe not. Anyway you want the cherry as small and cool as possible and the ash helps.

  • @cigarobsession yea u did at 8:13 :)

  • I can't really figure out how to retrohale (I'm not a cigarette smoker, go figure). How do you exhale through your sinuses if all the smoke is in your mouth? Do you have to inhale a little into your throat or something? It also looked like you were leaving the cigar in your mouth while exhaling...is that what you did?

  • Hello Sir, i'm sure you've heard this question one too many times but, what are your opinions on getting mouth cancer from cigars? I would love to start smoking them but I don't want to cause any problems for myself. They aren't inhaled, so they can't be as bad as cigs, but what are your thoughts? thanks!

  • @hoytrider The air you breathe is more likely to give you cancer.

  • What are your opinion on punches? I've had more cigars using the punch method as opposed to cutting the cigar. I am just curious as to what you think. Thank you an great videos BTW

  • @HanktheTank187 see my video on cutter comparisons

  • @cigarobsession Cool thank you. I hadn't looked around at your other videos enough to see that one. Again thanks

  • Were do you buy cigars at?

  • Good video you seem like a really good guy i'd like to smoke with ;)

  • great video, thanks

  • Bryan, thanks for this video, I really like it

  • blow from which end? where you draw or the other end of that?

  • taste like?

  • whats the difference between mild and all those different kinds of flavors and what does a cigar

  • Bonjour

  • I disagree on one point. I think that the longer the cigar the stronger it will get towards the end. i find that when it gets stronger you will also get more flavor.

it might depend on more than one factor.(that is my opinion - you have your own :0 )

    personal preference...

    good HowTo video

  • thats a badass lighter

  • what part of florida man

  • It was the most useful video I've ever seen about smoking a cigar. Though you did say that it was about your OPPINION, I'm sure anybody hardly could find better like this, becouse you mentioned lots of method regarding to every section. Thank you very much!

  • thanks for the tips.

  • excellent video!!! thank you

  • "228 likes, 1 dislikes "

I think your 99.5% positive rating speaks for itself. Great video!

  • Really helpful...i find it hard to smoke it slowly

  • Great Video... a little long - but I feel much more confident in my understanding now. And you're right... its all opinion.

  • Thanks for that video it really helped me confirm some of my thoughts on cigar smoking. Can't wait to put some of your suggestions to use.

  • Ive bitten mine off

  • is there anyway to cut it without a cigar cutter

  • @TheSlimshadyfan101 You could obviously cut it with a knife or bite it or something but you will almost always destroy the cap, and the leaves will begin to split. The best way is to use a cutter. They are fairly inexpensive and you can get one from $2-$10 for a basic one.

  • i have seen many cohiba reviews but arent real cuban cohibas illegal in the us i dont think you would find them on normal stores right? i live along the mexican border and there are cohibas in stores but not in the us

  • @sergioagartfgd Not all Cohiba cigars are pure Cuban. Some are "Cuban seed" which means the tobacco seeds are from Cuba but the tobacco itself could be grown in Honduras, Nicaragua, or other similar countries. If you do fine "Cuban" cigars in the US, they're either fake or they could be pre-embargo, meaning they were imported from Cuba before they were illegal. Hope this helps.

  • Very helpful! Excellent video!

  • I love your videos! :)

  • I cant believe I watched the whole thing.thanks dude

  • This video really helped. I've never smoked anything before, and I plan on smoking cigars soon. Your OPINION on how cigars should be smoked seems like a great starting point for me. Thanks for posting this.

  • @HomicideshowFreak Enjoy, and take your time!
