I just started watching Oz on New Years Day and I've watched every episode. Great show! I love Beecher, and think the white trash relationship between Beecher & Keller was comical, dramatic, heartbreaking... truly one of the best same sex relationships seen on television. Even if they remind me of the type of couple you would see getting drunk and fighting on the front lawn of their mobile home park lol.

Oz shows just how much the world has moved on, there are an increasing and different shades of gay roles to be found on T.V.

In the UK, Torchwood and even Dr Who have attempted to place gay characters in everyday situatiohs (sci-fi aside, of course!)

However, still the default setting seems to be to resort to stock characters..

One day soon, maybe!
