  • If ads alone did it he'd be winning Iowa. Whoever the nominee is, I hope they look at these ads and this campaign, Pawlenty has easily had the most inspired ads.

  • How much money was wasted on this ad you ask?

    Pawlenty.

  • Bachmann 2012!

  • shut up pawlenty.. you're not one of us you voted for CAP AND TRADE

  • Another Neo-Con Warmonger...

  • There now is a Guv'nor Pawlenty,

The Choice of the Right's cognoscent i,

    Not Bachmann nor Mitt-

    Her record's for shit-

And "Flipflopp ycare" is low renty.

  • PussyLenty has to decide whthwer he wants to be President or just go through the motions. The way that he pussied out against Romney in the first major Republican debate was appalling. I say he's a big "pussy" and not Presidential material. I don't think he has a base either. The number of people in the Republican Party who want a pussy for President is pretty small.

  • riding the Ron Paul wave. I still don't know if Pawlenty is actually invested in the mission.

  • pawlenty with these ads are about dramatic emotions not real substance....

  • Pawlenty does NOT represent the libertarian ideals of the founders or the core grass roots tea party movement. He is a FAKE. He is a big government, big spending fascist war hawk, a social "conservative", which means using government (ake FORCE) to regulate personal, private values.

  • Qwack qwack qwack

  • Pawlenty, eating $h*it for Jesus

  • @irkulyen

    lol "$h*it" censor fail, hahaha!

  • What really irks me about this kind of commercial rhetoric is how much it is about emotion and psychology, not solutions. It wants to sell me an expensive bright shiny sports car I don't need because it senses that I'm insecure about being bald, and a subliminal penis on wheels might be what I'm looking for to help me compensate. It thinks it can leverage my feelings of impotence to up sell me into something I'll regret later -- a gas guzzling dinosaur that will be in the shop week after week.

  • @garbledstoic Damn, emotion and rhetoric used to be the private property of the left.Things are indeed getting all mixed up these days.

  • Wrong. This recession did not begin until after 2007, and job creation was on a steady downhill slope the last two decades, including the expansion prior to 2001. The theory that cutting the marginal tax rates for the rich results in job creation has never been true. It has resulted in a steady upward draft of wealth from below. Year after year stultification of salaries in the middle and lower echelon shows the steady decay of middle class wealth. It is inescapable if you look at the graphs.

  • This kind of wrap-yourself-in-fantasy marketing plays to the type of short-attention-span consumers who are likely buy magic beans in exchange for the family milk cow. If martial background music could help American be great again, then I'd be voting for a marching band leader. This country needs a real player who can bring us renewable energy independence and restore our job growth. Forget oil, the US must be FIRST in renewable energy patents, not China. Enriching the rich will not save you.

  • If there is a WW III, and the US emerges as the only industrial power left standing, we can regain our position as the world's fastest growing economy. That was the case after WW II, with most of Europe crippled, before our dependence on foreign oil, when gas here was 18 cents a gallon. Now we compete with China, India and Brazil; huge economies with burgeoning industrial capacities. 70% of the oil we use today is for transportation. Since 1950 our demand for foreign oil has increased 1000%.

  • Who's the filmmaker behind T-Paw's attention-grabbing videos? Read the profile of 22-year-old Lucas Baiano on ClickZ dot com/Politics.

  • Wow, nice video!

  • Not as good as the Courage to Stand commercial (just my opinion), but if he keeps up with these kind of ads should he decide to run in 2012 then our incumbent is going to need his Wheaties.

  • You have to add dramatic music to make Pawlenty not sound boring.

  • @WhoKnowsDenver

Yeah, maybe we should elect people because they're smart, not because they're charismatic speakers, has that ever occurred to anyone? :P

  • @dragonking700 Or maybe we would elect them for their leadership skills...charisma is a part of that.....p.s. I made my comment no just because Pawlenty is boring....I also dont like his policy.

  • @WhoKnowsDenver

Let me tell you something, a very, very, very basic principle our country was founded on:

THE PRESIDENT IS NOT A *LEADER*. He is a follower. His job it to do what WE want him to do.

The people are in charge, ultimately. that's what made our country great.

  • @dragonking700 1st look up the definition of a republic. Next realize our leader is our head of state and needs to be both intelligent and charismatic. Last my comment had nothing to do with Obama, I was saying Pawlenty is a crappy republican choice, he lacks charisma and substance. But go ahead and vote for him in the primaries if you want to see Obama's second term. PS The men and women of our country are dying for Iraq and Afghanistan....if you cared about them you would bring them home....

  • @WhoKnowsDenver

Yes, of course we have a leader, and the purpose of our leader is to do what the people want, not what he wants. "of the people, for the people, by the people."

And wow, just wow. Yeah, our soldiers are dying for the innocent lives of afghans and iraqis. Are arab people less valuable than american people? That's just great.

And I know you liberals don't really understand how wars work, but we can't just randomly pull our troops out. (continued....)

  • @WhoKnowsDenver (cont.)

There are many reasons not to pull our troops out. One, as before mentioned, innocent people are being persecuted in those countries. Next, there is a huge threat in the middle east that clearly wants to destroy the US, and just letting them sit unopposed to keep getting more powerful is not going to stop them from causing us trouble. Also, telling the world that America just quits when the going gets tough is the last thing we want to do for our security,

  • @WhoKnowsDenver (cont. 3)

What if we just decided to 'pull out' of ww2 because too many soldiers were dying? That wouldn't have helped end the war. And if we had joined the war sooner, it probably would have been over quicker, and less people would have died!

That's why we bombed japan. It's sad that had to happen, but so many more people, Americans AND Japanese survived because we made that choice.

  • @WhoKnowsDenver (cont. 4)

Sorry for the long message, just one more thing to say. We are making tons of progress in afghanistan. The people are starting to trust us. just running away isn't going to help. It would be better if we sent more troops over, then the job would be done faster.

And in Iraq, suicide bombers are blowing up military recruiting stations just because their law enforcement sucks. We are one of the only things keeping their country together at the moment.

  • @WhoKnowsDenver cont.

Oh, and we DON'T need a charismatic "leader" who bows down to our enemies and lets other countries walk all over us, and disrespects our only ally in the middle east, then goes on vacation in brazil to discover "Green energy sources" just to have them drill oil and sell it to us when we have plenty of oil in our own soil, while men and women are dying for our freedom.

  • Free trade = Migrant workers are unable to move freely and live in what used to be called company towns, where they are totally dependent and subject to abuses and deprivations. This is tyranny and a denial of human equality–and all of us are supporting it with our cheap I Pads and other electronic products. And yet we hear so much from our betters in the ruling class, along with their courtiers, that China is the model. Sure, if you don’t like freedom

  • God bless AMERICA!!!!!

  • Chinese importers, in conjunction with the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, have ironically formed a lobbying front group ironically named American Coalition for Free Trade in Tires. The coalition is run by Jochum, Shore & Trossevin, a Washington D.C. lobby firm run by former Bush trade officials who are cashing in on their years of U.S. government service to advise foreign competitors. The law firm has used its ties to power to advise Chinese manufacturers on how to get around loopholes in the law

  • Last week, the federal government reported that the U.S. trade deficit grew by 33 percent in 2010 to nearly half a trillion dollars. Most of the gap resulted from an imbalance in trade with China, which shipped $365 billion in goods to America but only bought $92 billion in U.S. goods. The resulting U.S. deficit of $273 billion in bilateral trade. This is not fair trade is it. China has a very lax-ed environmental rules and poverty wages. In other words doesn’t compete fairly, This must stop

  • this is all mindless rhtoric

  • the number one movie in america is Tim Pawlenty 2: 1600 pennsilvania AVE

  • Yawn... another pretender trying to appeal to whatever base he can.

  • If T-Paw wins the nomination I will be so happy. I like any Republican who can win against Obama and I think he can. He recieved an A on his Governor's report card he knows what it's like to be poor so at least the GOP can gain some grounds there where we lost them in 2008. He has a nice looking family. He's Evangelical which is heavily Republican. He can definitely win this!

  • It's Time to Tax the RICH make USA no.1

  • @stringlov Trickle down economics, all over America's face and down America's throat.

  • @stringlov

Sure, tax the rich! They pay the vast majority of taxes anyway, tax them at 70% again. Watch 90% of them flee overseas with their wealth. Watch our economy grind to a halt. Watch our debt balloon to 30 trillion dollars and unemployment rise to 25%. Sounds like a damn fine plan doesn't it? We can sooooo be no.1! Then we in the middle class can be the "new rich". Clueless.

  • @kwi49nct The tax rate for the richest 400 Americans has dropped almost every year from 1995 (30%) to 2007 (16%). The US gross job creation rate also dropped from a high of 20% in 1996 to a 29-year low of less than 2% in 2009. Growth in income of the top 5% of wage earners accelerated during that same time period, while it decelerated or shrank for lower categories. Wealth has been redistributing to the top, with the the top 5% of earners having almost 60% of the nation's wealth. GE pays no tax.

  • @garbledstoic

Your start-#s are all in expansion, and end-#s are all during a recession. That's what happens in a recession...no job creation, decr'd private sector spending. Those job creators hold their money during uncertain times and wait for things to improve. Decrease taxes/Increase certainty, they create jobs and reinvest their money into productive uses. More jobs=more tax payers=more revenue. Economy is about incentive and behavior, risk and reward, NOT redistributing wealth.

  • I'm a Republican and if a wimp like Pawlenty gets the Republican nomination, i'll refuse to vote in 2012 election

  • Tim Pawlenty (T-Paw) is to much of a wimp to win the nomination, if he does, say hello to McCain 2.0.

Lets get a real man in the race, not some fruit from "Minnesoooota."

  • Americans 93 % none union and our 7% union work force we must all unite for liveable wages and healthcare. Don’t be spellbound by the talking media heads of the unscrupulous companies and Gov officials who indirectly work for them. And are trying to put a wedge between us None of them are hurting are they. Support only fair trade! And USA products. Lets fill our coffers again. With taxes made by product's made here. Go on line to Made in USA.

  • Gop They do it in USA, illegal donation came up during a parliamentary budget committee meeting last week. Maehara initially said he didn't know about it, but later acknowledged that his office accepted a 50,000 yen ($590) donation from a longtime supporter, an ethnic Korean resident of Japan whom he had known since childhood, and apologized.Japan's political funding law prohibits lawmakers from accepting donations from foreigners, even if they are Japanese residents or born in Japan

  • Tim Pawlenty has a great feel for the pulse of this nation. His momentum is growing by the day and shows no sign of slowing down.

As uber-lib Lawrence O'Donnell said on MSNBC: "Pawlenty is the one Republican candidate without any easy-to-attack negatives." That matters, given today's liberal media. He can defeat Obama.

  • @localHopeth

Don't worry, they'll find the negative. Chris Matthews will make sexual derogatory jokes about him, ABC, CNN, MSNBC will all focus on any little mishap he makes...flocks of reporters will go to his hometown to dig up all dirt on him they possibly can (a la Sarah Palin treatment). The only positive press he receives will be from Fox News, his own campaign commercials, and when he smashes Obama at the debates (not easy to do).

  • @localHopeth good luck with that

  • Support your local tea party! "LONG LIVE THE REPUBLIC"

  • The video made me dizzy but the message Pawlenty delivered was passionate, energizing and ONE NATION UNDER GOD - How very AMERICAN of him!!! Great message.

  • Anyone know what this piece of music is and who performs it?

  • Im all for true conservatism coming back, although the tea party is too much tied into the mainstream republican values which means true conservatism will never happen under this so called movement. Aslong as these 2 parties are allowed to make shit up as they go, the US will always be doomed to fail in the long run.

  • Getting back to the true roots of conservatism needs to be pushed and talked about all of the time. Holding politicians accountable has to start somewhere. The Tea Party is a movement, not a political party. Go Tea Party!

  • @GlassAgate

You've hit the nail on the head, my friend. Supporting small government is consistent with slashing the budget. You feel social programs constitutional? Let's eliminate these three federal government departments: Agriculture, HUD, and Education. Not enough reduction to get to small government? There's more cutting can be done.

  • // Starts with a group that is somewhat fresh, somewhat new...

Um, the tea party is turning out to be nothing more than a fresh

set of faces for the conservatives/republicans. They both share

    the same party platforms.

They ran on small government, and focusing on only financial issues....

As soon as they got into power, they wanted to have big government

to fight social issues. What a bunch of hypocrites.

Gay marriage isn't your enemy. Not connecting with your spouse

    is. Get a counselor.

  • Obama is to America what Judas was to Christ!!!!!! God allowed him in as a wake up call to the faithful to unite and he is God's judgment on this country.

  • @BlueWaterDrifter you sound like an amazingly open minded individual.

  • Jesus, thanks to that video I'd almost stand with Tea Party Patriots, is that bad Doctor ? =P

Ugh anyway, it's a nice video and although Tea Party have many detractors, one must admit that they've managed to gather the People of the US around one major point which is being against what the Federal Government -represented by Barack Obama- actually is. And I do think that this is what all Americans have been dreaming of for years. Hence the success of that party, big time.

    But it's Astroturf...

  • funny, liberals always let you know what scares the hell out of them the most.all you have to do is read

  • Dude, I'm totally going to see this movie when it comes out!

  • @derekmyoung It's Transformers 3: The Dark Side of the Moon

  • Oh, GAG ME.

Laughable. Know-nothing faux hatriots ginned up on slogans hand-fed to them by their corporate masters (the real power behind this astroturf "movement") & their phony-baloney, two-dimensional puppets like Tim Pawlenty. Overweight retirees braying about "socialism" while astride their Medicare paid-for scooters. Clueless ex-cheerleaders fantasizing about being the next Sarah Palin. Budding Grover Nordquists hoping to score a job out of college trolling liberal websites. FEH.

  • @Sharoney As opposed to trolling youtube videos?

  • @Sharoney Such a loving, caring and understanding person. Notice where the hatred comes from. Did someone call YOU fat? Come join the fight for constitutional government.

  • Way to go Tim Pawlenty you would make a great Vice President I hope Jon Huntsmen pics you

  • Way, to go Pawlenty! That's the way to pander to the hard core, right wing, lunatic fringe: pablum, platitudes, and dog whistles!

  • @mistergarth so what do you call your fringe soft core.left wing, wild best, socialist, communist Che dreaming: Taser, Noose, bigoted, racist and New world Order :)

  • Nice try Tim but you're not fooling anyone. You became Governor of MN and proceeded to kick the can of debt down the road. You did nothing to shrink the size of the Govt either. You left the state of MN with 6 Billion debt. You're pro war, pro bailout, pro corporatism & pro federal reserve phoney.

  • @helpendthefed Well said. Although he did only work with Dems in MN congress, but regardless, everything you said is true. You know what we must do, so continue to spread the word about Ron Paul!

  • Needs more bravado.

  • Well, I see the libs are out with the lack of civility and content to which they so often treat us.

  • How can anyone with a working frontal lobe take this bullshit seriously?

  • Tea Party ... today's KKK - with Teabaggers still wearing weird outfits, just not the white sheets!

  • @SoINeedAName48 and you call us the ones who "hate"?

  • @SoINeedAName48 last time I checked I found some NAACP members with some Detroit leaders and Rev sharp-ton, Jesse Jackson doing their Margaret Sanger Kumba YA under those white sheets

  • It's true, Tea Party = Reagan and Lincoln. Racist and believers of fallacies such as trickle down theory (aka pro-starvation over financial equality)

  • @aaasamaaa Unfortunately, the co-opted version is. Please believe me when I say the Tea Party has been corrupted by what we like to call "Tea-o-cons", who DO actually want to go back to the "good old days" of Reagan and Lincoln.

I think you know this already, seeing as you chose to single out Lincoln, but I just wanted to make this clear.

Also, Mr. Pawlenty is an idiot. This ad is full of bullshit.

  • The TPers are a bogus group: they mostly ignore the issue where the Dems/far-left are weakest: immigration. In fact, at the AZ summit where Pawlenty spoke, just 4% of sessions were about immigration and at one of those three of four panelists were on the wrong side (the position of the fourth isn't known).

And, D. Koch - one of the main people pulling TP strings - joined w/ Soros to give $10 million to the ACLU:

    24ahead . com/n/10603

    Don't fall for bogus groups.
