ya knowing how to do it right is important me and my friends just throw a bunch of gas all over the wood and light a stik and throw it in or do a duck and run in and out kinda move with a blow torch
@jdirtbiker1 I should point out, and this is very important, that you should only pour gas on a fire pit that's not had a fire in it for some time. For example, if you arrive Friday and make a fire, don't do the gas trick on Saturday. There is a chance that some embers will still be hot enough to ignite the gas, and this can lead to very bad things. My dad once had the stream of gas catch fire, which then caught fire to the 5-gal can, which then got hurled into the forest in panic. Bad thing!
@JETZcorp yes verry true but we will put 1 big log in let it catch fire and suround half of it in burt mater so it will burn slowly all night and the embers will be hot enough you can blow on them to start it back up, if we do need to use gas again we will usualy soak other pieces out side of the fire pit first but that doesnt usualy happen. however if we are in the forest or a public campground we will light fires the right way. the fun way is only for fires at home
