I think Phil wasn't tryin to rekindle Pantera so quick because if you look at the time between when they split and around after Dime's death, Phil seemed to wanted to take it into a more death-metalish way, on each album CFH had the 80's melodies, Vuglar has gruffer vocals but still had melody and FBD and TGSTK the vocals are just intense, "which i love" then on RTS, vocals were still heavy but brought back meoldy, i dunno what my point is but Phil is the shit
