Cat Kneading Blanket

My cat does this to a microfiber throw that I have but she stands up while kneading. I read that cats do this when they are taken from their mothers too soon, but you said yours wasn't...interesting. I don't mind it. It's weird finding wet spots on the blanket! I used to think she was drooling like a dog.

My cats are 2 and never even MET their cat-mommy, and they STILL nook. So did my cat who wasn't separated from her mother for a full year. It's just a comfort thing! I do notice they favor fuzzy blankets

My old cat used to do the same thing with a big teddy bear I had. He used to love that thing. I still have it, but he had to be sent back to the shelter because my grandma didn't want him anymore. I sleep with the bear every night and it reminds me of him.

my ginger tom cat did that on my shoulder from the day we brought him home as a kitten to the day he died at 17 years old.I would carry him round licking my shoulder and smelling of cat spit.He's been gone two years noe and I miss him like hell.....

oh so cute! my first cat Sari done that to me whenever she could on my bare skin mostly my ears and hands whatever she could find... and my present cat (she is Sari too) do it too only she prefers my tummy but only if i wear blue or grey... i wonder why... they started it when they was 6 months old

(by the way Sari means princess in my language...its a common girl name ^^)

my cat has his own special blanket he loves and if hes in the mood to knead and u try to touch or take away his blanket he gets really mad nd starts crying. its really funny. he does this every night.

yea my cats like huge (an adult and she does that)vet person she misses her mum or some thing (her mum was killed my a dog and some thing when my cat was a baby)

@catho1 I totally believe you because my cats love this old mattress of mine... When they want to sass with me, they sit on that bed and call me. When I call out their names.. They knead the mattress like they are bloody kneading dough... One cat will knead ONLY that bed and my favorite sweater >_>

But yeah, it is definitely the blanket especially if the kitten spent a lot of time with you and that blanket was used by you a lot.. My cats and clothes are like flies to a fire :D
