One would think with the much tougher laws we now have in the USA against DUI there would be a huge decline in such incidents- but it seemingly ain't so. I lost a few good teen friends due to drunk driving back in the 70's when I was that age too... very sad.

IIRC the legal limit in most states before 1968 was .15%- moderately to seriously snockered to say the least.

Teenage drunk driving has become rare in Australia, it is mostly serial-offending middle aged people who are caught. Education and strict enforcement worked well.

We have drinking and driving ages of 18, but zero tolerance for those in their first three years on the road. Fully licensed drivers are subject to a 0.05% BAC limit, which is fairly low (even MADD won't suggest dropping 0.08).

I have to disagree... Drink driving seems rather common place in our teenagers, perhaps not as rife as the 'middle aged' crowd. This is my view, and im an 18 year old on P's with a private school education, so i'd assume if its not that out of the ordinary for my social groups it would be more common in others.

I thought the video was good, but I believe it's not updated, we are in 2008, not 1965. Teenagers are not the only ones that who we should worry about.
