  • Great illustration of the zone read. Very effective play with an elusive QB.

  • I guess I couldn't get by the X's being used for offensive players...

  • u know what that was the quickest explaination i ever see about the zone read.. but it was very good!! my lill niece pick it up that quick lol good stuff man !!!

  • I felt I just watched a video on mitosis.

  • Hmm, i´m not a football mastermind and also not from the states, but i teach my d-line if they are given a free release to immediately break down and look for the ball.

  • @kylodriale that's what the QB of a spread/zone option wants... He hopes that your d end will see him put the ball in the back stomach and go for it. Your week side ends have to play flat on that play or Box... If he does it right he can cause that QB to delay on the read and thus stop the play... Plus it helps us Mike backers by givin us a lil time to get off a block and recover.

  • @kylodriale That's exactly what they should do. If they run up field right away it takes them out of position to make a tackle and leaves open running lanes.

  • It would be a whole lot better if it was 3 receivers on one side one in the slot and use a screen play after the defense is read in case the de stays home

  • IF only Michigan could keep up with Defense... lol

  • That is an excellent video! Very well explained. Go Blue!

  • Nice job

  • that's not how the front 4 would usually align against a spread look... usually a 1 and a 3 inside and 9 techs outside

  • more like a 1, 3 , 5 and a (possibly stand-up) 7 technique vs a spread. 9 techs would be rediculously wide

  • posted that before the wing shifted out... probably 2 5 techs

  • Good stuff!

  • Awesome vid. The only thing that might differ is if u r a run orientated spread team your play side WR's will stalk block or straight drive block.

  • this is awesome whoever created props. this formation helps a lot of teams that like to pass the ball a lot give them the upper hand of keeping the opponent guessing.

  • yeah this is a really good vid me and my friends can use this to learn to playspread on pick up football

  • great EDU. nice job putting this together.
