Looks more like it was designed to be a replica of the WW2 Yamato, not the space battleship version

The Battleship is not a moving ship, but a static display. To make it on a 1:1 scale here it was be enormous as was the mighty battlewagon herself. Now the Zero floatplane shown is to scale. Where else but SL could you fly one, or a Spitfire, a Mustang, Corsair, FW-190, F/A-18, or drive a M1A2 Abrams. But much more than a video game. Where else could talk to people from Scotland, Australia, Germany, Croatia, England, Nova Scotia, The States, The Philippines, and Canada all at the same time?

I wish they made a Lego Yamato kit, i know i know its a bit childish, but building a ship like that would give honor to such a magnificant ship. She deserves a better. BRING BACK THE BATTLESHIP!!

@XkriskrossX I dunno if they ever would. Lego's policy is to not create any war themed kit for children. However their concurent megablock is less concerned about that and they ave already made fighter, tanks and battleships brick kit.

Also, if you check the internet for "Lego Yamato" you should stumble upon a superb minifig scale model build by a Japanese guy entirely out of bricks. the ship is 6m long and it took 4 years to assemble.

Funny how they make star wars though, isnt it? Key word WARS, here? Lego have some pretty fucked up policies, including that one.

@Exilninja @Exilninja Star wars may be a story of a awar across the univers but it's before all a movie franchise. It is Science Fiction. And as such, exploitable by Lego. If they where to create a kit based on real war machine, say the Yamato, no matter how majestic or popular would it have been, it's still a model of a real war weapon wich the one purpose was to kill people.

This is almost a 1/1 scale of the Yamato. The ship stretches the full length of the sim's area, which is roughly around 250 meters. The Yamato was not like twice bigger than that. You'd have to visit the ship in Second Life to see just how massive it really is. The thing is enormous.

This one is a different build than the one at 1944? THis one seems larger, just about 1:1 scale.

This video is long you should put the music from "Otoko Tachi No Yamato" to it (and not "Close your Eyes") Lovely job on the build.
