i did artistic gymnastics for like 5 years and i know how hard it is, but rythmic gymnasts amaze me!! they are so .. ahh, words cant even explain! simply amazing!
Respond to this video...if you don't take your time and stretch everyday you will. gaining this type of flexibility takes a lot of time and effort. as long as you stretch every day (and take your time) your muscles will be fine.
Rhythmic gymnastics is a difficult sport!!It is always harder than when i watch it!I have rhythmic gymnastics clubs that i ordered from internet,it is white!!!
I'd say artistic gymnastics is harder. Here are some examples why
1. WE have 4 events
2. WE have to work our whole body
Can they do a giant? No!
I have a whole bunch of other reasons, but I'm not in the mood to say what they are. Now if you excuse me, I have to go get ready for ARTISTIC gymnastics. Level 10.
@thehappycampercows This is a video on RHYTHMIC gymnastics. Artistic gymnastics is hard, but rhythmics is too. We have 6 events. Good for you that you are a level 10, congratulations. But your comment on artistic gymnastics is irrelevant here. And we also have to work our whole body.
Irinas legs are impossibly long...I couldn't imagine seeing an artistic gymnast doing the split at 1:43 on the beam, it would be the strangest thing to see lol.
i do rythmic gymnastics i dont have pain at all but i dont have any videos of me except pictures of me but ugly ones when i was a bit small but anywyaz i go to rythmic gymnastics center but i think ill quit dont ask why..... comment back and watchin my videos ty
i have just started contortion training at 16, so about last month. and when my teacher stretches my back for the first 2 weeks i was fine, but later on, my back started hurting badly, i couldnt even do the bridge, and everytime i bend back even a little bit then go back, i feel a really SHARP pain in my lower spine area.
Is this bad??? cuz my teacher said its ok that you just need to stretch more and the pain will go away later...
yeah, my pain in my back is starting to go away just a little bit. my teacher still makes me do bridges even if im in pain. If it gets worse then yeah, i think i have to see a doctor. Thanks a lot!!! very helpful
its normal.. it happens to me all the time.. but there is things u could do to not make it hurt. do front/back body waves, and make some1 push/massage ur back in that area :]
it is maybe a little late for replying to your comment, but i was a gymnast when i was like 10 and then i got back five years later and the exact same thing happened to me, but the pain went away like two or three months after it started, i just quitted it for a bit, and then started doing it again but without forcing it. It worked well, now I dont feel pain anymore(:
yeah now the pain is in my shoulder this time, uggh. feels like its gonna dislocate or something, but maybe itll go away like the pain in my back did... Thanks :D
i find it hard to understand why this is called rythmic 'gymnastics'... why not ballet-like contortion?? there is no tumble, no gymnastics skills. it's a little misleading. awesome montage though.
I know this is late, but Gymnastics is this broad topic. Like The definition of gymnastics itself is:"Gymnastics is a sport involving performance of exercises requiring physical strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, balance and grace."So while artistic gymnastics involves the strength part in tumbling more, rhythmic deals more with the flexibility. Gymnastics itself is not the flips and turns. Many people think gymnastics is all about tumbling, but it's not.

why do rythmic gymnast wear those knee pads??
dogloverllama 1 year ago
i think its because the floor they work on can be very hard and they can bruise and damage their knees when they lean or fall on them ;)

i don't hunderstand why do u say that artistic gymnastics is harder cause:
i've been in both(artistic and rhythmics) and i just think that they r both very hard
then in RG people got 2 work whole body too
and at last wherever is AG there's RG too(i'm serious i've been there) X$
so...try and then talk about!!! XP

i think that u should really c a doctor if u cant do a backbend but if u choose not to then try soaking in a tub of ice to sooth the pain....

Bad. I have been intense training for the last 4 months and have never had any pain, the pains of everyday I had before I started have disapeared.
Make sure your teacher doesn't stretch you beyond what YOU feel is the limit.
Flexibility increases over time and you don't need to force it. There shouldn't be so much pain that you feel like you can't even do a bridge.
Light stretching, be careful, no jerky movements and consult more than just that one teacher....Good luck!
SoulxSpectre 2 years ago 2
thank you! my back is much better now, no pain anymore. Its just the fact that ive started at a late age.
