  • Who was that idiot laughing in the first clip saying he doesn't know what Peter Schiff is talking about?? Does anyone know that guy's name?

  • free market capitalism??? WHERE THE FUCK IS IT???

  • Sovereign debt was probably a banker's idea. Governments are non-profit institutions. The idea that a government will return 1.23 for every dollar it receives without raising taxes with twenty three percent is downright criminal. The idea must also highly lucrative for investors which explains why government bond markets exist.

  • Economics 101 on morning joe

  • Even Schiff doesn't know how to micromanage the economy. But he's the best economist out there,, Peter Schiff is a genius!

  • Keep the FED as long as Schiff runs it.

  • just people watch the 30 minute clip here "i.o.u.s.a." ... there they explain your current situation pretty clearly... especially all the YOUNG people there pay attention. You need better leaders and guys like Schiff who think with common sense are the ones you need in charge!

  • There are a few metaphors to be used to compare what the United States is currently doing:

    1. If you're obese and want to become lean, by eating more than previously, it won't happen.

    2. If you're drunk and want to sober up, by drinking more, it won't happen.

    3. If you're out of breath and want to regain it, by continuing to sprint, it won't happen.

If your country has become a slave to its debt and wants to regain a healthy economy, by borrowing more, it won't happen.

  • nicely illustrated

  • Listen to the dumbnuts reporterette sigh and groan throughout this clip. She's clueless, just like the rest of them!

  • If you truly understand the Austrian School u will know that it is the Common Sense way of economics. The recession is the answer, the problem is that the people want a pain free solution when there isn't one. We can't just print money to solve our problems.

  • yes I know it makes most sense in the current monetary world, where it's the bankers who have the money power, not the goverment

  • No. Not affording going through a 2 year recession, but rather borrowing and spending will lead to 10-15 year depression.

  • Exactly, if we went through the recession now, we could actually still be close to China in a few years. At this rate we're going to be ahead slightly for a short time, then light years behind for a long time.

  • Schiff is the MAN!

  • funny how they listen to him now.

  • Yeah is'nt that funny,i guess it's true what they say,What goes around,comes around,Right?. :-)

  • i think doctor common sense would be a more apropriate title

  • Peter Schiff for Senate. Unseat Chris Dodd.

Dodd caused it, Schiff can solve it.

  • It's nice to see Schiff treated with some respect and receive some justification for a change.

On the other hand, the main message from the MSNBC people was "Yea, you're right but I doubt anyone is yet willing to listen."

It's a real shame that in this post-modern society so many believe that we can deconstruct and examine the past, but we can't draw any truths from it. With even the MSM promoting this attitude, no wonder this country has been gripped by apathy as the roof caves in on us.

  • If this were 18th century France, heads would roll. I don't buy that we're more civil or evolved nowadays either. I think we're just better trained. Woof woof.

  • Lol this sounds like a badass comment but also goes weak at the same time. We need to run in and overthrow the government.

  • Why Peter Schiff is right.

The Mortgage based instruments are still on the banks books.

The credit default swaps securing those instruments, to the tune of TRILLIONS, are still in force.

If the CDOs are NOT worth what the banks claim, and they're not since they were based on the housing bubble's prices, then the Swaps have to be paid.

These can NOT be paid since even the world's total economic output is not enough to cover those payments.

  • All those artsy fartsy photos of Obama floating around look a lot like the Third Reich's...

  • Fashioned after the ones done for Che' .. talk about fascism de-ja-vu.

  • mike norman and ben stein are never right.. they must be employed by the fed..

  • Finally some respect for Peter Schiff. It's about frickin time.

  • Does this jew-rat ever shut up?

  • Wow, a money man with a realistic perspective on the economy and stupid moves that should not have been made! Go figure.

  • So right, the recession is what we need! And I still don't understandhow the "experts" didn't see it coming or chose to ignore it.

Now when the Depression becomes official, maybe folks will realize just how much excess they CAN live without and there might be a return to real values in our society.

Do your part, direct a former billionaire to the food bank or homeless shelter. And look out for the ones jumping off tall buildings, they might land on you!

  • Mr.Sunshine HAHA

  • Wow is Joe a pompus ass!

  • peter is a genius. I think the truth is better to accept the truth now and go through the painful recovery instead of using quick fixes and then suffer a massive heart attack later.

  • Finally no loud interruptions, people admitting he was right, one of the best interview for Peter.

  • Please run for Senate Peter!

  • Excellent suggestion!

  • About mortgage refi:.

Home occupied mortgages can benefit from refinancing. Even people who cant pay the mortgage.

There are people who are working hard to make monthly mortgage payments on a house they rent out.

Why aren't they allowed the same opportunity to refinance as dead beat primary home owners?

Something is wrong here, needs immediate fixing. Interest rates will not stay low forever.

  • Jesus Christ, I seriously need to stop listening to Schiff.

I actually had a dream where Scrooge McDuck showed me his bookshelf. It had all of Irwin Schiff's books in it and then Scrooge looked at me and said:

Yeah, I don't pay any income taxes.

I wish I was kidding, but I am not.

P.S. And this perfectly explains how McDuck got so rich!

  • I think he is educating them as much as he can. I think they, like most, realize he is right but no one knows where to back off without getting blamed for the down side. They feel when the down side hits, they will say "we did everything we could to stave off the depression". People in general won't understand what caused it any more than they do now. Politicians will for the most part be off the hook for their mistakes. People will vote them back in because of their experience. Wrong to do.

  • Great interview--more time and only Peter!

  • This guy knows what he is talking about. These other knuckle heads are just playing roles. They are ignorant on purpose. Idiots!

  • Yes indeedy, he's so intent, focused, at the same time, good with words - always a good combo for a great lover... lol!

Too bad many didn't hear him years ago, listened then, and started making adjustments.

  • " how do you save money when you lost your job?", the answer is, it sure beats SPENDING IT! What a stupid question from that guy!

  • Perfect Logic. Well said!

  • oooohh. he hits hard! he's good. these numb sculls STIIIIILLL don't get it! Holy jumping turnips! Listen up jerks!

  • the more I listen..the more i realize how right peter really is

  • Keynes did not understand economics, but he understood politics. He gave poiliticians and banksters what they wanted and got rich and famous in the process.

  • He was not even an economist! Yea, you re right, Keynes gave a justification to the Banksters who had already engaged in their swindling centuries before.

  • It's interesting how all that woman contributed to the conversation is "ah", "yes" and random monossilabic interjections.

  • Health care is expensive because the pharma companies are just the same kind of greedy gangsters as there wall street friends.

  • really enjoyed this one- Peter is the man!

  • Eventually people are going to wake up.

  • no offense to the Morning Joe people but....FUCK Politics, crush these companies and just fix the damn problem

  • I sure like Peter Schiff, he's fearless and right on the money.

    Good man.

  • Excellent video!!!

  • Dude I really appreciate you posting these vidz but could you please put the ad for ur website in a less obnoxious place?

  • Mike Norman is such a self centered asshole yuppie scumbag phoney ass duche bag turd.

  • Ben Stein has since apologized to Peter for his remarks during that argument and has jumped aboard the Peter Schiff train of truth.

  • hey pulpBleacher - I would love to see that in a video... did you see it or read it? cheers!

  • I heard it on main stream media - apparently he called Peter and expressed his apology. - maybe Subscribe4MoreNews has it....check out his channel

  • cool... thanks! I'll do a hunt :)

  • trying to post a link.. hopes it works:

    nytimes(dot)com/2007/12/09/business/09every.html?_r=1&r=1&ref=business&oref=slogin

  • I want to punch all of those guys who laugh at this situation...they are just front men for the NWO piece of shits!

  • I have an economic fever... and the only cure.. is more free market

  • One of the best Schiff Videos yet

  • As soon as China comes up with a way to semi-painlessly decouple themselves from us (and I'm sure they're working on exactly that right now) the effin party is over for realz.

  • Watch what is happening to the UK. Their bond sales failed today.

It's getting scary for those that pay attention.

  • look at teh whore of the left, lol

  • Even funnier, Mika's dad is the one who is helping structure this whole collapse. She knows exactly what's going on with the Trilateral Commission and Obama.

    Mika gives me the creeps...

  • You are so on the money. She keeps very quiet during the whole discussion doesn't she - but the look on her face is a complete give away.

  • fantastic interview, its about time someone let the man talk, thanks phil.

  • Robert Mugabe must really admire Obama's economic policies

  • The TRUTH of the matter is,

Almost ALL POLITICIANS (and it does not matter which party they are from) DONT give a SHIT about anyone but themselves.

THEY SOLD THE PEOPLE INTO THE HANDS OF THE CORPORATIONS, LONG AGO.

What is meant to be the SERVANT (the Government) has now become the MASTER (due to it being BOUGHT AND PAID FOR).

Its time for CHANGE, I am sick of paying for everyone elses mistakes/greed.

  • where are the mocking birds now!

  • Who is that dumb ass blond next to scarborough? Unbelievable!

  • @coultrane

    She is Zbigniew Brzezinski's daughter.

  • Ziggy's an evil douche!

  • agreed!

  • Should have this video show up when you type in

Obama here on youtube, for those brainwashed

people to see, maybe something will sink in.

  • TAKE THAT YOU GODDAMN WHORES!

  • Dammit to hell.. They actually listened to him! Too bad Peter's social capabilities aren't at top..

  • Well hes not there to fuck around like the these talking heads, theres no ego just facts, you know...

  • Yes, but he doesn't know how to reach out to people or he just doesn't care. But I think he cares, otherwise he wouldn't be there like 2 times a week or whatever it is.

  • Even if he was able to reach out to people would they listen to him or would they just ignore him and listen to Joe and Mika? If he spoke well, would the ratings go up on the show is on? Sorry, but the public would believe in Hannity, Olbermann, Kudlow, CNBC liars before Schiff. I sorry, but the depression is coming and I wish you all the best of luck.

  • I wish you all well too, really. It sucks that Americans are going toward this (I'm a Swede)..

But, there is ALWAYS some word or sentence you can change in the way you convey the message. He could tell it to them so that they had but no choice then to ignore the truth.

  • Many brilliant people have social inadequacies. It's cool though. The last thing the country needs is some more song and dance from suave politicians, bringing tears to the eyes of the citizens.

  • Well, the consequences it will bring is not cool. If Peter was more social apt, maybe he could actually make a difference. Nothing against Peter really.

  • Hitler was pretty socially apt. That's why he was elected.

We all know how that turned out.

The government has to return to the constitution and free markets, or we will collapse like the Soviets and all other collectivist economies.

  • Yes, and if Schiff was Hitler, we would not be nearing a depression.

  • Free markets would be recommendable if capitalists stayed out of politics. Everywhere you go around the world, examples can be found of businesses using politicians to cheat commendable. Why can't they just pay taxes and stop trying to get contracts or try to get legislators to pass legislation that puts competitors and consumers at a disadvantage. So, you know, drop dead with that 'free market' crap.

  • @DaFuckyouat

If government had no authority (i.e. followed the Constitution) to not give out freebies to said capitalists, there would be no one trying to use or bribe politicians. Why would anyone try to bribe someone who is so powerless?

Capitalists would have to *gasp* make a profit pleasing their fellow man and delivering an excellent product or service. I know.. a ridiculous proposition as it stands now. But for a 100 years of our country's life, that was nearly our system.

  • haha

  • Peter Schiff always keep it real

  • Peter Schiff live RIGHT NOW

    FOX STRATEGY ROOM

    live stream on the internet

  • He studied Austrian economics like Ron Paul. I think youre smart too because you figured out 911 was an inside job. Watch the video Money Masters it is a must see!!!

  • thanks

  • 95% of people didn't want TARP, 61% don't want to bail out the big 3.

    HOW IS PETER'S PERSPECTIVE UNPOPULAR!?

  • Kick ass.

  • whats amazes me is that they are still mocking him??? When he says the dollar is going to collapse, you better listen!

  • Its pretty basic stuff anybody can understand basic economics. So you look at the government providing the Liquor so the people get drunk on consumption as quite an evil thing to do .

Makes 911 a false flag, just like the Bay of tonkin. Pretty evil stuff, what's the end game get all the taxpayer's living on the streets starving to death. Like I wish you folks would wake up ? What more proof do ya need.

  • excellent

  • The hosts on these shows are just starting to get it (or at least they know that they look foolish disagreeing with him) but they still have this fixation over his "negative" analysis of the economy. All these people can say after he speaks is, "I guess they don't call you 'Mr. Sunshine'." How is this negative? This is reality! He just gave them the solutions they say they are so desparate for! Is this some kind of ratings thing? That really irritates me.

  • It's just for laughs, get some sense of humour dude. They do agree with him, they just wanted to lighten after a VERY SERIOUS talk..

  • Well, they didn't for a long time. In fact they were laughing.

  • Schiff OWNS!

  • The American people are the bozos. They got suckered into the game and lost. You think Americans are going to "educate" themselves? They have just been suckered into blaming AIG for taking "our money". My grandparents had principles of thrift and savings. They were "educated" by the great depression. The bozos bought houses for half a mil that were worth 200k. The bozos buy groceries with a credit card. The bozos think the government will "fix things". Schiff reveals wisdom, bozos ignore it.

  • Sounds like you need to start by educating yourself first, Try starting with some Ludwig Von Mises and pick up Ron Paul's A Manifesto.

  • Schiff sees things in the right perspective. He knows better than anyone else I know of, and even after they play a full minute of his sooth-saying they still end up telling him his statements are rediculous. I'm amazed at that.

  • I agree to a certain extent. However, it's too late for Schiff's solutions now. We can't afford any more folks losing their jobs. This guy, Scarbrough and the rest have jobs and if they don't, they will have money. The regular working stiffs do not. Too late for this guy.

  • well, what good is having a job when your dollar doesn't have the purchasing power it once did? What good is having a job that sucks (most likely a gov't job produced by Obama admn.) and pays you in worthless dollars. The only solutions these Keynesian monkies have is to unite currencies with other nations and that's it. Nobody with any sense would wants this. If the gov't got of the back of our free market, allowed sound money or competing currencies, the situation would not be as bad as it is

  • Watch the video again. He clearly tells you why it is never too late because until we start to follow sound monetary principles (ie too big to fail is not acceptable, you go broke you go out of business period) we will never get out of this rut until the dollar is worthless and we are living in a third world country.

Please watch the video again. Realize unemployment is tough but what the government is doing now is NOT going to bring Jobs and prosperity to America. Rather quite the opposite.

  • YO!
