  • hull's wrister was like the glitsh goal in NHL12

  • Fire wagon hockey. He was amazing at getting off a hard accurate shot. He was a also super entertaining, funny guy.

  • aaahh 90's hockey. Hockey of my childhood. Pavel Bure, Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Brett Hull, Jaromir Jagr, Patrick Roy, Curtis Joseph... Good old days

  • @MrClayshaw gretzsky?

  • @metal220 ???

  • Glory Days!!!<3

  • I know they never won anything, but man it was fun being a Blues fan in the late 80's and 90's!

  • i honestly remember crying when he went away to dallas when i was a little kid

  • The best pure scorer the NHL has ever seen ! 741 goals in 1269 games in the NHL.That is unbeleivable! Most under-rated player of all time!

  • anyone remember the brett hull gt snowracer?

  • i cried the day he came to dallas too....cuz i knew that with him we would that bitch...thanks st louis for the golden one. preciate cha

  • i cried the day i found out he was goin to dallas :(

  • Best Goal scorer ever

  • i wish he wouldnt have left st.louis. hull oates stevens. then they traded stevens for shanahan. man they missed what 8 stanley cup finals

  • you'll always be a blue brett, we love ya

  • Well, you have your opinion, and I have mine, just like every other human being. I consider him a cherry picking unphysical player who acts like a douche as a commentator, and rules are rules. How many times were buffalo players called for being in the crease, whats fair is fair any way you look at it. Besides hockey shouldnt be played in the south cause no one watches it. I mean just look at the Tampa Bay Rays. They dont even watch baseball.

  • @scdarrow Gretzky was an unphysical player. as was Yzerman and many more but I doubt you dislike them. At least be honest as why you don't like Hull. He was only a commentator for a minute and that was a few years ago.

Hockey can work in the south. Just the margine of error is less. Sharks, Stars, Ducks, Lightning, Hurricanes have all done good. Blue Jackets, Devils and Islanders are all up north but have attendance problems.

  • Brett Hull Is My Hockey Idol.

  • I miss him and that team

  • He would've had even more goals had we not foolishly traded Oats.

  • @wuzcloopin Unfortunately Blues had no choice but to trade Oates. He kept demanding contract re-works after the Blues gave him raises 3 different times, then he held out his last year here. He did similar things in Boston and Washington too. Agree it was sad though, who knows how different things could have been for the franchise had we kept those two.

  • Hull Statue in SAINT LOUIS..YEAH BABY

  • The only reason I'd ever dislike Hull is because he was born in Bellville, Ontario, Canada and he played for team USA in '02. Enjoy the silver medal, traitor.

  • @oyeah11able Canada didn't want him on the team so he said F off and went U.S. Stop winning

  • @oyeah11able Canada didn't want him so he went U.S. It wasn't his fault Canada was stupid.

  • @aqinthe thats not thereason at all he was born in ontario because it was his familys vacation home he was raised in the United States he chose USA as his country to represent not cus canada was stupid

  • @RetardsAndSkateboard I didn't mean all Canadians were stupid. Sorry. I meant the ones that didn't show any interest in Hull playing on the Canadian team. He did have dual citizenship but he would have played for Canada if they had let him. Canada didn't show any interest in him so he played for the U.S.

I just get tired of (some) Canadians thinking of Hull as a traiter for not playing for Canada.

  • @aqinthe i respect brett hull 3 consecutive 70 goal seasons one being 86 incredible im just glad he had his chance to play in the olympics

  • @RetardsAndSkateboard Probably something that will never be repeated. I didn't mean to insult all Canadians. I'm just tired of the few who think Hull was a traitor when it was Canada that origionaly didn't want Hull, not the other way around .

  • @aqinthe I'm with ya on that one. Hull's treated like Charles Manson here in Canada by the people we're talking about. And those people like to call him a traitor yet, if he truly was a traitor he would have accepted the offer to play for Canada in the 1991 Canada Cup. Instead he stayed loya to the side that welcomed him already. People wanna pick his game apart and are overly critical. And not to mention hypocritical. "One way","Only offense",etc. Yet, what was Gretzky ? Hull was great.Period.

  • @tjcurrie I think it's just the Canadians that take themselves too seriously. If he would have played for Canada they would be shouting from the rooftops how great he was. You are right about people wrongly criticizing his game as "only offense." When you score 86 goals in a year and 741 lifetime you don't need to play defence.

  • @aqinthe Exactly. Had he played for Canada people here would be calling him a God. And it's pretty hypocritical to bow down to Gretzky then turn around and call Hull too one dimensional. Not to mention the fact that everybody wants more offense in the game and that's what Hull has pushed for both on and off the ice. Yet when he speaks out about it or displays it on the ice, people call him every name they can think of. He always said the game should be played for the fans. He was always right.

  • @aqinthe And his "one dimensional play" was a tad embellished anyways. Mike Keenan was an idiot and took it too far so people jumped on the bandwagon. He proved he could play any style later on anyways with Dallas and Detroit. He played Hitchcock's system successfully and with no complaints. Then Yzerman and Shanahan took paycuts to bring him to Detroit That says something. He killed penalties, was put out in late situations whether trailing or leading, he did it all. Right til the end near age 40

  • ............brett hull won the silver medal with the USA in salt lake city

  • 3 years in a row with 70+ goals is ridiculous

  • he will always be known as the golden brett

  • Best one two ever = Gretzky-Kurri. Hull the best sniper though.. Oates no slouch either. superb passer

  • He is amazing. Looks so soft and etc

  • It was actually 90-91 when he scored his 86 goals.

God love ya Brett ! The game misses you. Never be another. People can say what they want but he was one of the best. And charisma to boot.

  • my fav of all time. he singed my 75th all-star jersey way back when. i still have it hanging on my wall. the brett you kicked ass

  • So much class growing up here in St.Louis and watching him I will never forget those years. Best years of my life.

  • awesome shooter. one of the best

  • Class? Funny. Waited on him many times.Classy he is not.

    Great player? Absolutely..

  • Brett Hull, man of much class! Gonna miss that sick shot he had. Definitely one of the best and I mean the best hockey players to have ever blessed this game. Thank you for the Stanley Cup in big D.

  • Brett Hull was my hero growing up in St.Louis. It was so much fun in the early 90's with him and Oates.

  • 86 Goals, most ever by a right wing (1991-1992) Purest shooter arguably ever in NHL.

  • this guy is straight class, thanks brett you are one of the best to play the game congratulations on the hall of fame and an amazing career.

  • He chose to play for USA because he learned how to play hockey in USA and he grew up there. He's not a "traitor" and anyone who thinks that is a dumbass.

  • he was born in russia and raised in canada. VERY NICE!

  • Didn't he get mad at the Canadien team for not picking him one year? I thought he swore he would never play for them for that reason.

  • @suicidblonde Ya I think it was in 1985. The Canadian National Team. They said he wasn't good enough. The U.S offered him a spot. So he feels allegience to them because of that. Canada though offered him a spot on the 1991 Canada Cup roster but he declined. Showing he's not a traitor by sticking with the States.

  • hahaha. Roenick

  • one of the gereatest and funiest player in nhl this man was amazing

  • Brett made goalies look bad... Serious..It was like that.

  • brett hull aint dead..

  • Brett Hull was born in Canada as was his dad Bobby Hull , one of the greatest hockey players to ever play. The only reason he grew up in the U.S is because his dad played in Chicago and thats where his parents met. Amazing player but...can't believe he played for USA

  • he aproched the Canadian team but they said they didnt want him at the time so he went to the USA casue his mom is american like u said to bad they shoulda kept him

  • he played for usa becasue in 1998 he got cut from canada's olympic team and went to play for USA

  • they didn't even give him a tryout, what a loss for canada hockey

  • its sad that ron caron died:(

  • Brett Hull = 1999 stanley Cup finals game six NO GOAL

  • :-(lol)

Another good old home boy made good.

    Well done.

    Peace,

    E-T

  • Modano is the best American. Not Lafontaine. Brett Hull. What an amazing hockey player.

  • Brett Hull the Best Blues player.

  • Ecw person for your information mike Liut is the best in St Louis

  • brett hull highlights wouldn't be the same w/o Ken Wilson announcing!!

  • hey

    ECWnWWF manny legace sucked ass

  • mike keaeen is an Fucking Asshole because he traed brett hull and wayne gretzsty. i still am so mad he took brett hull away from st louis

  • Love those blues jerseys at 3:00

  • For any Blues fans who care to comment..

The St. Louis Blues joined the NHL in 1967 during the great expansion and they have been in the league for 42 years.

Would fans agree that the 2 greatest St. Louis Blues are

    #14 Brenden Shanahan

    #16 Brett Hull

The 2 greatest Blues' goalies are

    #34 Manny Legace

    #1 Jacques Plante

  • i think shanny and Brett are awesome just cant believe they put Manny on waivers!

  • manny legace? 4real?

  • Brett Hull and Al Macinnis were the two greatest Blues players of all-time. As for goalies it is definitely between Mike Liut, Glenn Hall, Jacques Plante and Curtis Joseph

  • grant fuhr? hello?

  • @ECWnWWF you'd have to throw out Red Berenson, Bernie Federko, Adam Oates, Al Maccinis just off the top of my head...lol and dont forget Gretsky was a Blue for 30 games

  • Brett Hull sucked....

    Alexi Zhamnov was MONNNNNNNNNNNNAY though!

  • In the crease! Ahhh HaHa! Brett Hull was a cherry picking douchebag. He's an ass-hole anylist as well.

  • @scdarrow That rule was stupid and changed the next season anyway. As for your other comment 99% of pro athletes are asses, and ive heard just as many good stories about him as bad ones. Hes probally just like every other human being, good AND bad qualities.

  • awesome, anyone know where can get this music from?

  • Hull was my favorite player. Was too young to see him in 89-92 but I wish I could have.

  • this is a awesome video

  • I have an upper deck bret hull card from 92' how much is that worth?

  • Your about a moron for even saying that stuff about Hullie the goal was a good goal he had the puck on his stick before his toe was in the crease and hasek still could ahve mad the save so spare us from your stupidity

  • hes good looking and Im sure he grinds on tons of insane good looking women, I would ...and doing ; )

  • My all time favorite have a signed stars hull jersey

  • Lemieux - Jagr and Gretzky - Kurry were better one-two punch lines but Oates - Hull was probably the 3rd best of all time.

  • hull is a better scorer, but modano has such grace. was doug weight american? that guy should have been awesome, but never quite did it. go chelios.

  • Yes Weight is American.

  • pat lafontaine was the best american player.

way more finesse than any other.

  • grew up watching brett. what an amazing shooter. GO BLUES!

  • no you didn't, you weren't even a fan. You grew up watching Doug...and Bobby's World

  • only guy who couldve broken Gretzkys goal records.

  • YEAH BRETT HULL! I know his daughter... she's in my class and she goes to my school... her names Crosby...

  • lmao that was a good one :D

  • really, i'm freakin serious! how much do u wanna bet? i bet all my money, not even kidding!

  • Brett hull is my all time fav hockey player and one of the best

  • Best one-timer of all time! Inspirational!

  • Brett Hull and Al MacInnis firing bombs on the powerplay. Must've sucked trying to kill penalties while those two were on the ice.

  • An incredible players, yes, but look at how much net he had to shoot at. Wow.

  • Hey Brett Congrats on your Induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Your sister says congrats also :). Jay.

  • wow i especialy loved hull 4 wen he played for my fav. team detroit great 1 timer.. great all around player..- btw greaty vid i rated a 5

  • St. Louis will miss this guy...amazing player....

  • forget modano brett hull is the greatest scoring AMERICAN

  • modano is the greatest amreican born player. brett is the greatest american player.

  • i go to school with brett hull's son.

  • you are a moron. He was born in canada but he lived in the states until he was 8, and he has dual citizenship. If he felt closer to the US that doesn't make him a traitor, you cock sucking sack of shit.

  • @Thill029 nah hes a traitor lol

what kind of canadian plays for team u.s.a...

well i guess if they cant make team canada lol

  • @tkombz Your retarded, Hull is anything but a traitor, He really wanted to play for canada, but team canada's managment didn't give two shits about him. Hull then decided to play for the U.S because canada's managment was shitty. How the hell does that make him a traitor

  • @tkombz Lol, hes a traitor...hope he likes the colour SILVER! haha!

  • @tkombz He is the third highest goal scorer and yet you are trying to say that he sucked. Stop crying!

Canada was stupid for not wanting him so he went U.S.

  • hey idiot in case you didn't know he had dual citizenship but got cut from a canadian national team and thus decided to play for the USA. canada rejected him not the other way around.

  • yes he was born in canada, yes his father is canadian but his mother was american born and raised. so technically that makes him american as well. honestly can he be considered the greatest american player based off the fact his mother is american and that makes him one?

  • 86 goals- that's so ridiculous.

  • 99 goals in 33 games is even more ridiculous

  • Brett was the reason I've started to like Blues and I'm still their fan even their not playing best hockey last years. My fave player of all-time

  • they make it look so easy......

  • mine is

    yzerman

    hull

    shannahan

    lidstrom

    and

    theee red wingsss hahah

    zetterburg is coming up next

  • zetterberg not zetterburg

  • awesome choice

  • lol puck vs building. puck wins

  • In opinion:

    1. Gretzky

    2. Howe

    3. Lemieux

    4. Orr

    5. Yzerman

    6. Brett Hull

  • Your opinion only.

  • NO what I say is gospel ...... Of coarse it's only my opinion, Captain Freakin' Obvious!

  • Amen. But before you continue on... try getting a cancer of some kind, then go to work every day and then try to save a business, then get back to me.

Mario is better than Hull. God bless your words...if they move the mountains.

  • you do get that MrCool actually has Lemieux at #3 and Hull at #6 which means there is nothing that you should be disagreeing about, right?

  • Actually, I was disagreeing with the whole ranking. They were all great, but Mario has been through more pain than any of those players and won. And that's not my opinion.

  • you said "Mario is better than Hull" and that's how he listed it, there shouldn't be a debate there. I was replying about the remark about his listing. The personal lives of the players is one thing, playing the game is another and he listed his favorite players. NO ONE is ever going to be right about who was/is a better player because it will ALWAYS be based on personal opinions. All I'm saying is instead of posting a stupid reply(repeating what he said) you could have put up your own list.

  • Lemieux

    Sawchuck

    Richard

    Orr

    Kharlamov

    Gretzky

Happy now. But those rankings are not based on personal opinion.

  • if they were based on rankings, where's Messier?? If you're judging players just by their stats Mess is missing.

  • Ah Messier, he's in a class of his own, a player like him comes along every thousand years. I also left out a few players like the rocket, Roy and even Kharlamov. But you can only name so many great players.

  • Well that fact is that Mario's fight was public, there was no denying that, from when he was drafted to when he retired for the second time, cause once your in the public spotlight, it is hard to remove it. Didn't think those replies were stupid.

  • I agree with tr3ndk1ll

  • hull's a great player but hes a fuckin dickhead doesnt sign autographs after winning a game ..fuckin asshole

  • 1. Gretzky

    2. Howe

    3. Hull

    The greatest...

  • I just can't get past excluding Orr, Richard, and Lemieux in this equation and putting them past Hull... Not to even mention putting him ahead of guys like Trottier, Yzerman, Messier, Esposito, Sakic, and even his own father.

  • Yeah, and Howe and Hull were both Redwings! Hockey town, Bitch!

  • brett hull ended his career in detroit. he was made famous by st. louis. his trophy in toronto will have him wearing a blue note. hockeytown my ass...eat some octopi

  • Nice! I remember when they had brett 'miked' up for the all-star game one year, it was great! LOL

  • Brett Hull is my favourite player of all time, you were amazing...

  • What's the name of this song?

  • glory days by bruce springsteen!

  • bastardface. who fucking cares about the blade; he wasn't the only player to use one in the NHL.

  • hey what are you guys talking about?

    someone fill me in.

  • best one-time ever!!!!

  • fellow blues fans, we must remember that brett WON CUPS with dallas and detroit so fans of these teams will really love him as we do!

  • and to think calgary never wanted this guy lmao

  • you dont think so little fag?

  • red wings fans could kick the shit out of the blues fans!

  • Not THIS one, bitch!

  • hahahahahahaah

  • i have dropped two of you in the parking lot at the old Savis Center...

  • aahhhhhhhh! 16 reminds me of linden too!

  • Brett Hull 4eva

  • hull was my favorite player.

i liked him best on the wings.

    my fav team

  • f the frikin wings they suck they do so well in the season and have nothing to show for it in the playoffs they suck GO BLUES!

  • the blues can suck my hairy cock

  • why do redwings fans even make comments or watch our videos? and why is scotty bowman in this frikin video?

redwings fans suck ass! and f that old fossil why the hell is chris chelios in there? i know they were teamates but so what this was a night for The Blue Note, not the fing sucky ass wings

  • You're a dumbass. Hull is my favorite player of all time, and I am a Wings fan. You have no Idea what you are talking about so shut the hell up.

  • You can shut the hell up. The wings f ing suck. Brett Hull was on our team for 11 years and ur a wings fan and hes ur favorite of all-time. He was with the wings for 3 years. You suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are seriously a dumbass. Just because I am a Wings fan, doesn't mean I can't be a Hull fan. I am a hockey fan all around, you are obviously not and you are just an idiot.

  • faggot

  • damn dude, your marking him like he's yours, he doesnt even know you, just cause he's a wings fans doesnt mean he cant be a hull fan, take life more lightly

  • Kurri is one of the best wingers ever!!

  • a legendary RW. he victimized many net minders over his career!

i guess nothing he did in Detroit was highlight-worthy? =/

  • This was for his retirement as a Blue. Notice no Dallas footage either. Hully will always be a Blue.

  • yeah he may have retired as a blue, but he still works for the stars organization, so to me he's still a star too

  • it makes me laugh thinking about it, 33 hat tricks, do any of you realize thaats atleast 99 goals, maybe more in 33 games? thats amazing, #16 is one of my favorites to ever play

  • I'm glad dallas lost him he was a cheater he got no goal in 1999 his foot was in the crease and that was against the rules back than...NO GOAL!

  • Better right wingers than Brett Hull: Big Bobby, Mike Bossy, Lafleur, Richard. Hull was great benefitted so much from Oates' brilliance. Even Big Bobby mentioned Oates next to his name...Jaromir Jagr is the best RW ever!!!!

  • Thats incredibly ignorant when you look at how good he was with Modano and whoever else he played with in Detroit. Hull is a legend and best RW of all time.

  • 16 baabu
