  • GREAT MUSIC

  • Most underrated band ever!! If ya like prog check out my song "perceptions!" Cheers!

  • allahsal..

  • Isso sim é musica, umas das melhores. Tenho só 12 anos e gosto de rock desde pequeno como Rolling Stones, Camel, The beatles e etc agradeço muito pelo meu pai ter me criado assim xD..

  • alma :)

  • who the fuck are this 33 people who dont like this song? are you seriously, are you retarded??? oh sorry, even people with mental health problems know this song is great!

  • I'm loving this so much :)

I love the Paris Collection a lot more though :O

I'm just loving the facial expressions on here ... and how they really get into music.. as if they're making love to their instruments

It's just beautiful ... By all means the best progressive group of the 70s :)

I can't stop listening to that song.. It's amazing and the lyrics are amazing ... There's no way to tell a lady that you love her thats more beautiful than the words of this song :)

    Thanks for the upload :)

  • masterprice

  • One of the best groups pf the 70s that should have gotten much more recognition! Both Andys' guitar playing is phenomenal. I was fortunate to meet the band and spend some quality tine with them as I worked in FM radio at the time. NO! I was not a groupie.....

  • Reminds me of good times listening to Radio Caroline and the likes of Camel, Zepplin, Rush, Genesis and all those other great sounds the BBC wouldn't play those days.

  • good musi never die

  • Loved Camel when I first bought Snow Goose in the early '70's.

RIP Bardens. Great band, many happy memories.

Latimer is a class act. Hope to see them 1 day

  • that`s music

  • beautiful!!! very good.Latimer is one of the best guitarists ever. again, this music makes me quiver. lovethem.

  • lets face it . his worst ever move was getting that fringe

  • Fucking beautiful

  • I saw a Jameson Whiskey commercial, there was this Mozart cello tune, which is basically the same as this songs main riff. Damn Mozart stealing from Camel!! Probabaly this has been noted numerous times, but I don't care, just wanted to mention this.

  • To me sentindo nas nuvens!!!!!!!!

  • I have to say that seeing the frontman crying while the song is at its peak really touched me. This is music !

  • @maggotfrom1993 You got that right and I was drying my eyes off along with him. One of my favorite and best musical pieces of all time! Still have that Mirage album tucked away somewhere.

  • Comment removed

  • @maggotfrom1993 thats andrew latimer he wrote pretty much all of camels songs.. and i think he said this was one of his favorites.. i can tell why.. its one of mine as well.

  • like before i watch

  • Oh to have both of those racks of keyboards...

  • @pillsiege this.

  • Comment removed

  • im Egyption who loves those guys alot also eloy was amazing band.

  • great tune love the mirage album

  • 33 can´t hear

  • How come it doesn't have a million hits? it deserves it!!

oh well..More for us in the know:-)

  • there is still really good music nowadays you just need to look for it!

  • @VoooooooDooooooo Nowadays we have great bands as well. Only is matter to choose the right music. Bands like Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Meshuggah, Pain of Salvation or the Mars Volta keep my faith in good music. If you are talking about Lady Gaga or other shitty music, then we're not talking about the same language. Finally, Led Zeppelin credited many songs that didn't write, it's not the best example of musicianship IMO, and forgot Rush, ELP, King Crimson and many more but I have no space.

  • that editor should be fed to the dogs

  • I just typed "camel" in search. WHY U NO SHOW ME CAMEL VIDS????

  • Eloy

  • I don't listen to radio, except classic rock and 80's!

  • Killer tune by one of the more underrated British prog bands.

  • Camel a band along with Greenslade that never got the attention even though their music had a lot of good moments.

  • Talent will exist always. Not necessarily so about good music!!!

  • Latimer, Hackett, Fripp, Ackerman...Progressive Rock rules!!!

  • Look at this Passion, Love, Joy... just Great!!!!!!

  • Though talented they were virtually forgettable in comparison to other notable prog music..this is to wimpy n weak

  • @wonnthree What Prog bands are you referring to? If you make a statement like that, back it up!

  • Always 32 deaf or annoying people!

  • Some good music was in the 80s but the best was late sixties and the seventies-rickinish is right on man!!

  • What happened to Camel? where are they now?

  • @signal6000 they toured from time to time up until 2003 when Andrew Lamiter suffered a series of health problems. though they have said he is healthy and that there will be at least on more tour. (probably this year)

  • I feel sorry for some of you folks that think that music died after the 70s. I am fortunate enough to also enjoy music that were made from 1980 until this day.

  • @IbanezFreysi There would be no tomorrow without yesterday senior Ignorante!

  • @alxparas1

What are you even on about?

  • @IbanezFreysi Sorry i am slow! You mean?

  • @pillsiege i think people mean to say that the level of musical integrity as gone down. Now all you need is a studio producer to make you sound like gold and whip cream shooting out ur tits (katy perry)

and dont ever expect to hear a prog band on a label (please dont say dream theater :S) or on the radio.

  • @pillsiege could you exemplify for instance?

  • @bucetapussy The Mars Volta

  • @pillsiege You're right, talent still exists and good music is made. The problem is the industry, which doesn't recognize it anymore. I could pop up the most brilliant composition ever, and what do you think would come out of it? Nothing.

  • Very emotional and spiritual song ! I cant explain but Andy dared to dare and probably reached the 5th dimension executing this song !

  • OMFG

  • @Steven4466 Tony Blair played guitar in a minor rock band at 17, if I don't go wrong. But he's not like Andrew Latimer, anyway...

  • What can one say but perfection !

  • Love it !

  • I don't know how comes a talented band like Camel doesn't recieve more views, I can see poor music and recieve million views, but anyway it is not about quantity, Respect Camel and Andy Latimer

It would be an honor if rockers like you guys visit

    myspace /aymankhalifa

    or facebook page facebook /aymankhalifamusic

this is my music, would like to know how do you see my music

Thanks guys and keep rockin \m/

  • @AymanKing2008 prety nice , well played , but, i dont know how people try to put psychedelia in agressive riffs, its no good, psychedelia mathes with peace and love feelings, see woodstock. :d my band : myspace /mazeofdreams

  • @bruninhazd1 I visited your page and added you .. nice melodies and music... best wishes

  • extreme nice band my brother told me of them...

but is he crying? or just feel deep inside his own AWESOME guitar playing?

  • @Lugos True poetry always comes out through pain..

So , Latimer is no shamed to saw inner tears..

  • @Lugos he alway plays like that, and is all about the feeling :D

  • Everyone likes to say that there is no talent these days and I find that to be a load of crap.... The real talent is still out there, it is just overlooked by everyone because of flashy distractions called mainstream bands and top 40 pop singers...

  • ♫music♫

  • Excellent!

  • latimer could be in extreme pain, or in the throes of an orgasm as he wrings out the notes in that exquisite, slow solo. there is certainly passion here, and to me, that's more music than the strutting, windswept presentations of public relations built guitarists.

  • Damn. I love this song, but this is the first time I've seen a live performance. Watching Latimer brought tears to my eyes. Such emotion.

  • I wish someone could upload this in better quality. Youtube wasn't that great in 2006.. Still, very thankful for this upload tho, it's a rare view into one of the best bands of all time!

  • One of the best 70s progressive bands.. I don't understand why they didn't get more popularity?

  • AWESOME! THAT WAS REALLY MUSIC! LOVE 60'S, 70'S, 80'S

  • amaziiing!! I'm crying with him <3

  • Timeless treasure! Can somebody tell me who are the players in this video, apart from Andrew Latimer? I can only recognize Colin Bass and Ton Scherpenzeel, I think.

  • i love the way andy plays the guitar. camel are my favourite band next to focus.

  • The music says all that can be said to the opened EAR.

  • @glumm22 I LISTEN TO YOU GLUMM22...LONG LIVE CAMEL RUNNING ON URIAH HEEP BIBLE, listen TOOL LATERLUS and enjoy UH EASY LIVIN WAY OF LIFE. BETIRAKO. PILAR TE AMO. XSE.

  • 31 people prefer MTV :( sad..

  • there are no words to describe this performance and the guitar playing ...!!!!!!!!!

  • Dark Ages? Seek and ye shall find. Porcupine Tree, moe., Umphrey's McGee, Radiohead, Opeth, Tool, etc. I agree, though, that MTV ruined the industry in many ways. I miss the 70's Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, etc. When their music came out it was always amazingly exciting and the concerts were amazing as well.

  • @rickinsh Hell yeah man, hell yeah

  • @VoooooooDooooooo well you truly have a point!!! In fact I wish I was born in the 60s so as to live the 70s and 80s! But there are still remarkable bands, like Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater and many others!

  • @fotisprogman

Vooooooodoooooo is no more my accaunt, so I will answer from this one.

Yeap I think 80s have something good but In my opinion 70s are the way higher level.

But I am only 18 and still I am able to listen to real rock and not "Shit of MTV"

  • @GabrielHackettBanks I don't know anything about shit of mtv. I never watch mtv. I am only 16 and I buy records I am not downloading only. and music is not only progressive rock.

  • @VoooooooDooooooo yo i get your point,WTF happened? justin timberlake? holy shit, anyway camel has made some amazing melodies, love em....

  • @VoooooooDooooooo led zeppelin i would disagree with, they stole a lot of their music and guitar riffs without credit. No formal apology or money was ever given to most of the artists.

  • @VoooooooDooooooo sorry to tell you that people with a taste of music are gone and only rare stay :(

  • @VoooooooDooooooo forgot Deep Purple!

  • takes you to heaven!!

  • Boy, we aint in the dark ages... listen to Umphrey's McGee!!

  • @garagepatrol thank you for reminding me of them...

  • big like

  • what happend to rock music,..?

thank you for uploading this is wonderful,....i can breathe again.

  • @youarethisone Businessmen and marketing executives took over the industry. Today, good musicianship plays a minimal role, if at all

  • To the 30 who disliked this get a LIFE

  • Great song and performance. CAMEL rules. Rest in peace Peter : ( You are missed

  • THIS is music

  • You have to admit that rock was perfected in the 1970's with music like this. So many great albums from these men. CAMEL is so special ....thanks for posting this vid! :)

  • thirty people don't have feelings and obviously ears

  • @Lucasgust ....;-)

  • Andrew Latimer, You are one of the greatest guitarists in the world!

  • I was lucky enough to have been there on that night. Even today i rank it as one of the best and most memorable days of my life.

  • @soverigns

    This song is amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • I wish I could find and but the Mirage album! This is music and I've played for over 40 years and the music today from most artist only want to copy and make money not music with feeling!

  • Sorry, die ganze Band ist Spitze

  • Dieser Mann ist nicht nur ein guter Musiker, sondern auch ein guter Mensch.

  • love the advent gard style give Gentle Giant a listen

  • @judynip It is Avant garde

  • great band love the advent gard style another band to check out if you like this style Gentle Giant

  • Need more of that Music Today, that cat played some blues

  • Holy wow, I'm blown away!

This song made me take out my guitar after months of neglect, and enter into a psychedelic trance.

  • BILLIE JEAN ! MICHAEL HAS TAKEN FROM THIS SONG...

  • One of the best songs ever written by Andy Latimer!!

  • 550,000 views??? What in the fuck!!?

  • 9:34 Speaker Volume 100%! F*ck neighbourgs!

  • Always when the part of 4:59 begins i see Andy playing with tears in his eyes. And i get tears in my eyes too. Its so emotional melody, its so pure. No other guitarist can do this to me. I love Jimi Hendrix too but he never made me cry.

Lady Fantasy is absolutley one of the most emotional and beautifull songs in de world!

  • @horrorflesh horrorflesh, you're so right about MTV. It enabled no-talent "musicians" to make flashy videos, and the actual music became secondary. My rock music collection ended in the early 80's, largely because of MTV.

  • @rodpjohnson - same here. My collections from 83 and down. My fav is prog-rock.

  • @horrorflesh well i think it's always been the same. 95% of everything back then was shit, still is today but only the 5% including this wasn't.

  • Well Put !!!

  • @horrorflesh they still have it You're obviously are to lazy to look.

  • @bangulo2012 , name me a rock music talent that were not established in the seventies. Were talking artist with own arrangements, music and lyrics. Jazz, classic, country etc. excluded. Youre next.

  • @horrorflesh Check out an artist names Ayreon, There is also a great band called DreamTheater,

  • @horrorflesh Also Gomez, Mutemath, and Jim's Big Ego.

  • @CatastrophicDisease - nothing. Im talking rock music. Theres been no real big talents for ages.

  • @horrorflesh there are still some great bands out there right now wirting music.. they just dont get any recognition..

  • @horrorflesh Talent keep on existing, though it is not shown on mtv ;)

  • @icarusi You can find the "Lies" video from this concert on a rumenian page if you google "Camel lies live 1984".

  • Do you have 'Lies' from this set? It used to be on Youtube somewhere but doesn't seem to show up any more on searches.

  • Watch! as Andrew Latimer cries for bygone days.

  • no mames ke buena rola sta bien lsd/dosa mm me gustaria haber estado ahi

  • guitarist looks like trower..

  • Loved Camel in the 70's, some of the best prog rock made.

  • Extraordinary, this is one of my favorites songs from Camel. Thanks for sharing. Greetings from Mexico!

  • WOW!!!!!!!!

    Magnificent performance!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • At least 50% of all the Camel albums are masterpieces.

  • why does every one of there songs sound like a song already written??

sure they can play well but ----------------

  • @desertwriter6162 Maybe because they wrote it in the 70s and people copied their tunes?

  • With all due respect, but you mentioned there's 2 original members, including the Organ player, but ain't that Ton Scherpenzeel (Dutch) ??

    Regards from Holland,

    Alex

  • @muziekengeluid long live the dutch and the oranje

  • Such an outstandig musician Andrew was, went to see Camel in Munich's Schwabinger Bräu for the first time, was in 1978 on their Breathless Tour, and he cried there too! Happend at the end of the concert, the audience couldn't stop yelling for encores but they had to close the venue at midnight. God bless you Andy

  • Andy Latimer one of the Gods of Progressive Rock! See at 7 minutes of this music, he is not playing guitar, he is feeling music.

  • shows the full scale of what a electric piano can do for music

  • Des vrais musiciens- et il n'y en a pas tant que ca

  • He does fuckin cry!! Thats a real musician. He feels the music! Not like this fuckin popshit the kids listen today! This music is pure fantasy. Its pure feelings. Camel the fuckin BEST!!!

  • @threlfish Shit! the stuff is worse than shit if thats possible-Whatever happened to great guitar and keyboard solos nowadays anyways-can't findem man!!

  • A long time rock and roll fan, first time i listen to Camel and i LOVE it!

  • I BORN ROCK I LIVED ROCK I DIE ROCK!!!

FUCK,ITS RUNNING IN MY BLOOD!!!THATS WHAT I CALL CLASSIC!!

  • A true gentleman Andrew Latimer.

  • that goofy bastard can play.

  • how does he get his tone in the second solo? I know most of it comes from his fingers, head and heart. But does anybody know what gear he uses?

  • @JDJWJB if you mean the middle part where he is crying, it sounds to me as if the only effects he is using are reverb and a delay. you can achieve a similar tone by playing thru a fender tube amp with lots of reverb and a delay pedal. if you mean the solo during the fast part that is one of the keyboard guys.

  • @JDJWJB hey if you want to see this guy at his best then check out>

    camel ice (live)

  • truly an amazing band.

  • This is a great song with like half the band in missing, like second string football. Just listen to the beginning of the 1974 studio version, versus this newer live performance. The first 30 seconds is radically worse....
