  • Sounds like the Butthole Surfers circa 1987. Although with less crack rocks involved, I assume.

  • It's difficult for people to appreciate the subtle genius of things like this.

  • monkeys are cute.

  • St David Yow pray for us and them. Great band

  • As an Australian, I really can't look at a San Diego mall without imagining Mega64 fucking shit up... It would make the second half of this video that much more entertaining

    good song btw lol

  • I don't know man. I think it goes all ways. People should like music for their own reasons. Forget the context in culture, if it appeals to you, listen to it. I love Jesus Lizard, The Locust and Daughters, but I also love Kanye West and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

  • From the Graveyard of the Arousal Industry is actually a textbook for one of my 400-level cult/eng courses this semester. It's fucking tight. Best prof ever. Ridiculously awesome courses always require fucktonnes of work though, but whatever; it's a 90s punk cultural studies class...labor of love, methinks. Rock on JP.

  • @wrarmatei THIS BLOWS OUR MINDS! Awesome to know.

  • best friend's best fuck friends

  • this is, in my opinion, their magnum opis. "ape. ape. ape."

  • THIS IS THE A, P, SHOW!

thats where i first heard this. liked it ever since. thumbs up!

  • anyone here read JP's biography?

  • @SadKetchup yeah - it's a great read

  • both epitaph and three one g released this.

  • @threeonegrecords three one g. you are the fucking shit. i love every band on your label. holy molar is my favorite.

  • Epitaph? Then why does it say ThreeOneG?

  • @sirmichaeloftherocks

the album heavens pregnant teens was majorly distriputed by ephitaph.

  • awesome music, great lyrics, what more can you ask for from a song?

  • This song and this video presentation are both incredible. I'm late to the boat with Some Girls, but I still love them. Thank you.

  • ive just noticed this, either justin pearson has a lot of stuff in his back pockets, or he has a REALLY NICE ARSE!

  • my life is complete after seeing them perform this song live

  • @RoccoValentino AGREED, SIR.

  • Andrei Holmes APE. APE. APE. APE. APE.

  • APE. APE. APE. APE. APE. APE.

  • @bite2breakskin91 wait so you can appreciate daughters and locust for the vocals, but you find Some Girls vocals too odd? you are bizzare.

  • like i give a fuck what some girls fans think of me. what a bunch of fags. go eat a dick

  • hahaha you sound, like, 12 years old

  • is this deconstructing music...? but i like it!

  • great band. I remember when the second Lickgoldensky album started toying with this sound.

  • ape... ape... ape... ape... ape... ape...

  • @xchrislukex ape... help... ape... ape... ape...

  • It is just everybodys close minded opinions, bands like Jesus Lizard, The Locust, Some Girls, Daughters etc. are so different than the mainstream media and it is something people are not used to hearing, so they either critique, or look down because it is not "pop culure"

  • I've never heard The Jesus Lizard, but it they can find their way into a list with all of those, then I'm checking them right the fuck out.

  • Yeah or just because they don't like it, took me a while to get into also.

  • @blood4blood666

all the bands you listed save some girls rock.. some girls is ok but very minimal on uniqueness.. they are just using typical cord progressions on 4/4 while generating typical metal tone and singing through a delay with some reverb.. nothing new or cool.. its like sleep with delay on volcals.. save that sleep is superior.

  • @houdinimeanie How is Some Girls in any way like Sleep? Sleep, as in Matt Pike Stoner Metal Sleep? Cause if thats who your talking about I can barely see any similaritys

  • @houdinimeanie Also, pretty much every single band I can think of or have listened to uses typical chord progressions in 4/4 with distortion with delay and reverb on the vocals. Its how you use all those things that makes a band unique, and Some Girls deffiantly is. Name one band that never uses any of those things you listed.

  • @houdinimeanie agreed, some girls is not the most unique JP project, but I do have very much respect for them plus that kcik fucking ass. Sleep is fucking great too.

  • @blood4blood666 all the bands you listed save some girls rock.. some girls is ok but very minimal on uniqueness.. they are just using typical cord progressions on 4/4 while generating typical metal tone and singing through a delay with some reverb..

  • @blood4blood666 I couldn't agree more. Ppl like hearing what they've already heard a million times until someone forces something else on them a million times. It doesn't even have to necessarily be a new sound. It just has to be forced on them a billion times. Sheep I tell ya...lmao. Btw everyone one of those bands you listed are favorites.

  • @blood4blood666

Really? Are you saying people look down on things they don't like or disagree with? This is news to me.

  • @blood4blood666 whats sad is you'd probably just talk a bunch of shit on Hanatarash, The Gerogerigegege, Whitehouse, Smell & Quim, etc.

  • @blood4blood666

stop pretending like the whole world is against you and your music. you probably look down on pop culture and mainstream media simply because of what they are and what they do.

  • @blood4blood666 Good point, I listen to almost nothing but this type of music. I work with a lot of younger kids who are into the modern extreme movement of bands like Born Of Osiris, Chelsea Grin, Flesh God Apocalypse, etc., and any time I try to push some Locust or Sawtooth Grin or even Dillinger, they reject it. Whatever, as long as bands like this exist I can stay in my own groove. Speaking of Jesus Lizard, I have to recommend Scratch Acid to anyone who enjoys Lizard but is unaware of it.

  • awesome!

  • Sorta reminds me of the Jesus Lizard.

  • heavens pregnant teens was shit compared to all my friends. I loved alligula. If life was a dream, I'd prefer to wake the fuck up.. music to my hears. hah

  • It's like a hardcore canon

  • Great song let's give these guys a hand

  • ...this is so...wow...amazing...now I have to buy EVERYTHING!!!!

  • For some reason, All My Friends Are Going Death doesn't really do anything for me. Heaven's Pregnant Teens and The DNA Will Have its Say are veeeeery nice though.

  • they dont sound like Daughters but this has a little Daughterness to it, if Daughters were punk they'd sound a bit like this

  • you mean if daughters was good they'd sound like this, right? therefore, daughters + talent = some girls.

  • who will fuck when all these people are gone?

  • i spy a mighty sweet beard

  • modern definition of doing it

  • I fuckin love this song... how can you not, its like puting your fave song on repeat

  • I saw them open for Converge.

    It was incredible.

    Wes is one angry fellow.

  • Listening to this long enough makes you go into a trance O_o

  • damn cant believe they broke up, i remember i saw them cause my friend took me, i didnt even know who they was. It was a very loud show, like no one could hear for a while.but good band.

  • To bad they broke up =((((((( awesome video wish I could of seen em one more time before they broke up...

  • dayum!

  • damn even Gabe decided ta play with ya guys

  • i think your right, but i thought JP played drums on Deathface..?

  • It's Gabe on Heavens Pregnant Teens and in this video. JP Played drums for a couple of shows and Gabe did one.

  • See I know Gabe did the album, JPs defantly playing bass but the drummer in this video doesnt look like Gabe, of course its hard to see but Im not sure

  • It is Gabe.

  • the drummer for some girls is sal gallegos not gabe from the locust

  • Gabe plays second drums on deathface for the album.

  • nice

  • JP plays them live, and Wes bangs a floor tom.

    Deathface live is fucking intense.

  • FUCK YEAH!

  • this is awesome
