Yay I finished building my falcon today (took about 25 hours, I'm new to modelling lol) and now I just need to 1) Buy airbrush 2) learn how to use airbrush and 3) try and get it to look like this. Easy! (not)
Thank you for the video! I have the same question as "67firebird100". Is the basecoat acrylic or enamel? I have read sooo much about weathering these couple of days, but this question is yet still to be explained to me. My logical conclusion is that it is enamel basecoat. You need a sturdy foundation to be able to use turpentine on it right? Am I onto something?
Thanks for posting these videos. I am new to modeling and just hope my model turns out an eighth as good as yours. What kind of paint did you use for the base coat?

Hi, I have a question, which grey base color you used for Star wars models (not the primer)?

@thevosovics I got them from Hobbywave... they were imported from Japan.

@thevosovics HLJ or Hobbywave... can't recall.

It's Tamiya Acrylic with no top-coat. DO NOT use enamel as the turpenoid will eat it away.

@FichtenFoo Can I use Model Master Lacquer? Thanks again.
