So after buying countless other inner tubes with a standard valve, I got the EXACT SAME brand a week ago only to open it today and find one of these buggers on it, for which I don't have a pump for. And now Wal Mart won't accept its return because I don't have the receipt anymore :/

Thanks so much for posting this. I am so glad I found your demo as now I don't have to cringe all the way to my local bike shop to ask them to remind me how to do it. I've managed to write off two valves already. Googling got me to a helpful post on Bike Radar, but having the advice and steps confirmed visually was such a help. (Pathetic, innit?)

i have a presta valve and an elec compressor, it still does not infate, this presta crap does not work

you dont need to buy a special pump all you need is a presta valve adapter which is like 3 bucks at most....

Twice now had this annoying experience with Presta Valve tubes. I get this squelching noise as if I had a flat! I check the tyre and it's Ok -fully inflated. ?? Then in the next day or two of the tyre being seemingly OK & putting up with the squelching, eventually I get a flat! Bloody pain in the derriere. Anybody had it happen?
