  • ahh! I love the energy this video has- wish I could ride on a team-like setting as this. In America, in the AERC it's very individual- would love to race in other countrys! good job on the video- fun music :~}

  • pfff that sheikhs are always so fast on the competitions! sometimes they are very irritating! ;p but they are soooo amazing fast

  • very nice images.

  • A dressage saddle, western saddle as well is not the ideal thing to use, they restrict movement, are heavy, and they don't put the rider in the ideal position for a fast ride. You are cantering most of the time between trotting . you want a continuous position, the legs forward technique also makes the riders body weight less when the horses hooves and full weight hit the ground whilst cantering, and the front legs aren't subject to excessive weight. Try the sport, learn something new.

  • Check out the rides in Australia or South Africa. There is concussion, hills, rocks, bad weather, and these horses train mighty hard to do them. The faster the riding the less time the rider is on the horses back and the horses do look better after the race than someone who has dragged out the ride and the horse has had that weight on there back the entire 16 or more hrs! Horses look worse after a longer slower ride. Also those saddles are made for endurance, no weight on the horses front legs

  • I would not sell my horses overseas to the UAE (which then end up in france/Uk or wherever the rides are wanted) if I knew they would be treated any less than how they are here in Australia. The only reason our horses do not reach those speeds here is because of lack of funding, we have a no on course strapper policy, and our rides aren't flat as in the desert which also has less concussion. If you think those rides are bad in the video where they are cantering on the flat..

  • You are all forgetting that these horses doing 100miles in record time, have not been trained from scratch in the UAE by Shk's stables. They are all bought with the legging up done, and initial rides usually with 80's and FEI rides already. They don't just do 100miles they are at there peak in there teens, and it is a credit to all endurance riders, as these horses compete from age 5 to sometimes 18 in the UAE I've seen and they are all looking great, and are well looked after athletes.

  • Wow! Bueatiful horses! The blue colour on the tacks, is that the same Royal Blue as everywhere? It lokked so different from my tack in Royal Blue. It was a bueatiful color! :D Nice video btw :)

  • Who is the sheikh at 1:07-1:10 1 in the red?

  • @sabna HE IS RASHID FIRST SON OF MOHAMMED.

  • @mujercitafemale --No that is Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and he is the son of the King of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his second wife, Sheikha Sheia bint Hassan Al-Khrayyesh Al-Ajmi

  • @sabna WHY ARE YOU ASK YOU SELF THIS AND RESPONSE THIS??????????????? YOU KNOW MORE WHY ARE YOU ASK???????????

  • @mujercitafemale I found out who he was after I posted the question three months ago.

  • got a great life, thanks for asking. Had horses for 50 years, so also know plenty. Stand by what I said. Thanks Vandy, agree completely, more about egos of the rider then the horses at that point.

  • Both horse and rider are true athletes. However, a hundred miles seems a bit excessive. I don't think it becomes about the horse at that point.

  • Wonder if the horses think it's "romantic" to ride 100 miles? I'm guessing not. I don't see the appeal of riding my horse to exhaustion. To save my life? Perhaps. But not as a regular "fun time". Some of the "riding" is really appalling as well. Not impressive, in my opinion.

  • @jamilovullo get a life

  • @DanielThomasVideos

    a thought-provoking and original reply...

  • @jamilovullo well you have no idea, the horses do enjoy it. you dont understand the bond thats created between you and the horse. and you know they are trying for you.........if they dont like it they are welcome to get a 9 to 5 if they dont like it.

  • @jamilovullo well DanielThomas is right ...go get a life plzz and dont talk bout these things plzz if u dont know what u r talking bout
