the screen does NOT flicker it gets brighter and dimmer its a setting in the power managment section it is trying to save you power just go in and change that setting and it will fix that

I suspect it does not flicker on every machine they have sold but it did on mine. Power management changing brightness is irrelevant. Acer have had this issue on other laptops as well.

just to let you know its super hard to talk to them they want you to email them but just find the number and press 0 like 30 times they should then transfer you

Nice review so this pc is great very cheap but I was wondering does the core 2 duo su7300. Can play 1080p YouTube videos???? Cause you said that the su9400 could but you did not mentioned the other dual core model

@Cucuriqui2 Yes it can, its a great laptop if you already got a gaming desktop, and need a laptop for web surfing and traveling.

Upgrade to Adobe Flash Player 10.1. The GMA 4500MHD is already supported, and you now CAN play HD videos in youtube. :)

We have similar model Timeline 3810T... I'm wondering how's your battery life running Win7? I've read so many conflicting articles about getting less batt life on Win7 than on the original Vista Premium. I want to install Win7, but hesitant until I can be sure the batt life will stay the same. Thanks.

@peterjaena About 7 hours of battery life. Web browsing, Wi-Fi on, 30% brightness. I haven't tested XP on this.

best amateur review ive seen, good pov, camera and audio great, youre taking your time, you have some valid points and its not all rushed with all techincal details.only thing missing is actual price/performance vs simular options.

btw, hows it with you?

i really like the look and the size of it, LED, ddr3, i just wonder if im able to fit a 1066 cpu in it. and would you bought the 13" over again or would you go with a sligthly bigger screen? cheers.

Thanks. You can't change the CPU. I don't have any real preference for size. If I were to get another 13-incher, I'd definitely go for more power.. at least something that can play youtube videos smoothly in HD mode.
