This video is ridiculous every one knows that "You tube" is a corporation now. Just another you tube puppet lying to the masses. When you sold out did you have to give yourself to baphomet? Timothydalaghetto and the rest of the you tube stars did. People do the research on this guy and many other you tube celebs. You will see that they are lying to you and dumbing you down. Research the truth.
I agree that you need good content in order to get the fan base you deserve, but i also think that YouTube DOES favor some people over others. Right now i am subscribed to some people who make really good videos who do not get half the acknowledgment they should, while people who already really big (who sometimes are not any good) get featured everyday. Take Fred or iJustine for example. They both got a lot of subscribers, couldn't they help out the newer guys instead of them?
Iman i have good question for you well i make videos about hair right but they ony pertain to certain male and females with that type of style so will youtube feature me and i dont think soo because its not something worldly like comedy or acting its on hair which does pertain to many viewers

I haven't been featured yet but I know, with being featured also comes a lot of judgment critics so i think that's another thing people might want to look at too. If you're not able to handle the pressure of people possible clowin' you or liking you then maybe being featured isn't something you should be aiming for.

Solid, I think you're right, but I think YouTube features certain kinds of videos, mostly entertainment( idk tho =/). I can definitely see how I've gotten better from when I started! lol I can't even watch some of my old stuff - but I think if I do what I know I'm capable of I will get featured. I'm gonna have more fun and do my style kinda blogs, but also throw in some random and just plain cool videos to sorta switch it up every now n then and see if that gets attention

Back in the day normal, everyday vlogging and people just recording random stuff was what drew normal everyday people to YouTube. As it's grown and competition and technology has grown, so has the need for much more entertaining user content. I know I have videos where I wonder why there were so many comments. LOL! I deleted a lot, need to delete more, find it tough to. Pfft.
I think my favorite BAD video is all too common 12 second "I'm filming my friend throw/kick/shoot a ball at some type of goal on my motorola RAZR cellphone camera".
LONG time. A lot of people don't have the patience.
Once you develop a following, things should start to snowball by word of mouth. But that can take YEARS before there's enough attention among SUBSCRIBERS that yt EDITORS themselves will notice. Got to do a lot of work before you could possibly get featured!
there are ups and downs in everything you do.. even some of the high subbed YTbers till this day have bad videos: come and goes...ups and downs, it's a shame people are always looking to blame someone when their videos doesn't do well and so on
