I was taught about feudalism in 6th grade-the teacher did not tie it into politics at all.
I applied that knowledge myself recently, after learning that small amounts of socialism is considered all out communism and fascism to a lot of republicans. I wanted them to know we're closer to feudalism than we are to socialism.

Another good post. More great things she's done include selling the former governor's private jet(that the taxpayers paid for), adding the proceeds to a budget surplus(don't hear much about those anymore) and giving that surplus back to the taxpayers.

Experience is important for any job, To become president of the USA you should have some experience but again it is dems who are attacking Palin for her experience. From what i have seen and heard from both sides, Palin has more experience than Obama

What "experience" are you exactly talking about? Sarah Palin been to a foreign country once in her entire life time. I don't even understand how republicans came up with this decision. Out of all those people, they selected Sarah Palin? I mean this is ridiculous. This will bring more negative effect to republican party than positive. She graduated from University of Idaho for godsake. She's against sex education but her 17yr old daughter is pregnant. There is no way she's going to be the vp.

Pokerslut.. it makes sense to use drill as much of that oil as possible within your borders whilst new cleaner technology is developed.
This is the big difference between what McCain and Obama want to do. McCain believes in Global warming and wants to develop clean energy but he accepts such changes take time, so why not drill now so america is less dependent on oil from unstable countries?
Obama simply wants clean energy and says drilling wont help the situation, what rot.

When McCain announced Palin as his VP, and still maintained his support, I officially decided republicans have a mental disorder.
The selection obviously is way more of a counter tactic than anything else-which is very irresponsible considering McCain's age. Nothing is certain once you're over 70. Her highest degree is a BA in communications from Idaho U.
I only see stubbornness in the GOP now-that is ALL I see, and you all can't even see it yourselves. That is a mental disorder.

im sure there are millions of Americans over 70 who would be really offended by that. Ofcourse the fact hes older means hes more likely to have medical problems than obama, but bad things happen to people of every age.
Here in Britain we dont have a big deal about deputy leaders. In America its usually clear the candidate picks someone to boost their campaign. So it seems fair and smart for McCain to secure his base with palin, and for Obama to deal with experience problem with Biden

But the problem is, the VP takes OVER for the president if the president dies.
And it's not discrimination to worry about his age, for both his physical health, and mental health. Most Americans retire around 65, and after that most of them aren't really fit to do jobs anymore.
McCain is still in seemingly good health, but at his age a cold can turn into pneumonia, and so on.
And then we'd have the woman who has never governed a population over 300,000 as our president.

Why should older be offended? It's just plain true that, at the advanced age of 72, and after FOUR bouts of cancer, McCain is more likely to die in the next four years than Obama, who's never had cancer and is in excellent physical condition.
