  • coooool!!

  • what is btw ?

  • @twolate2l00k By The Way

  • what if i want to sort the pegs as i take that machine apart? O.o

  • could u be able to do the same but it sort the coulours of ur lego biicks if so how many coulors could it sort

  • very clever, this is amazing!

  • wow dude.......wow

  • dad thanks for my lego can i have some more lego to sort out my lego? a lot more lego actually i need to make a fiddly thingy to sort out all the fiddly thingies what d'you mean you not interested LOOK AT MY LEGO THINGY DAD (ain't i great?) oh well fck you i'll show it off to my internet daddy he signed up to nambla....
  • ooo i see wat u mainly used 2 motion rotaters 1 for convader belt one for sorter than u use the color senser to determan if it turnd the sorter to go rightkk

  • yeah put the blacks away, racist...

  • WOOOW!! A RACIST ROBOT!!

    lol

  • In a black peg's mind:

Yay I'm surrounded by my friends! :)

    Ohh, what's that buzzing?

Hey, we're moving! I wonder were to?

Weee! Oh no a red light.

    What was that beep.

Oh noes, a blender! Goodbye cruel world!

    Ow, wee, ow.

    Is this heaven???

  • OMG how do you make that PLEASE TELL ME

  • Robots like these make me wish there was a universal LEGO part sorter...then maybe I could get my huge stash of half-assembled robot parts cleaned up and organized like they're supposed to be.

  • sooo... what if the peg was blue????

  • @legoclockfreak710 if he set his light threshold, blue is a dark enough color that it might also get sent to the 'bad' section of pegs, but the blue pegs provided in the 1.0 are not as big, unless you have the bigger ones that match that size.

  • @poisonedxtears1993 yeah... lego is making pegs like the black ones... but there blue... and there are ones like the grey one... but there pale peach coler!

  • can it be made with a NXT 2.0? or do i REALLY need a ressource parts education boxset thingy? Im still a kid and i dont have much pocket money and 100 euros is a lot to me.

my english is horribly poor btw.

  • @TTTgundams: Unfortunately the part sizes in 1.0 and 2.0 are quite different. But if you have some spare Technic parts, you could look through the instruction steps and see if you have all the parts.

  • @TTTgundams cheap kid

  • Comment removed

  • @TTTgundams i build tons of stuff from 1.0 with just a 2.0 set

You have to modify some stuff though so you should try

  • @TTTgundams I made it with only 1 2.0 kit! Nothing else. I used Blue and Tan pegs for this. I also had to change the program

    =)

  • When i try to install the program the file is too big?

    Please help me ;(

  • @jabbeXD: If it says the NXT is out of memory, you will need to delete some other programs or sounds from it first. If you are having other troubles, see the help section of the web site for some tips on downloading programs.

  • @nxtprograms Thanks but i found out that my Macbook f*** it all up so i used my brothers pc and it works!

BTW i love your projects and i have builded alot of them. Thanks for being a Lego genius =)

  • verry clean made, perfect

  • well, how do you sort the peg after you dissembled the machine?

  • Very good, congrats.

  • Can You Make A Peg Sorter For 2.0???

  • Why cant you get 2 blacks in a row?

  • @Jimpiedepimpie: The lever just can't swing that fast twice in a row (no time to recover from first swing)

  • In my school i got one team who bulid this and its really tricky as the light sensor sometimes will mistaken the Peg as other colour

Trick-Make sure you are in a Lit Area and stays so the light sensor don't mistaken and the Motor too

  • how the HELL does it do that!

  • I could use that when i build! lol

  • exactly my point

  • @topitapi. NXT 1.0 does have a color sensor, it's just sold seperately...and this uses the light sensor...

AND THIS IS A PEG RACIST! It was only hitting black pegs!

  • niezły sortownik

  • verry nice made

  • im pretty certain that this is segregation you are commiting

  • LOL it is!

And the worst part is, he throws and bashes the black ones against the wall of the container! Horrid!

  • Its a good Build 7/10 But can can you tell me which video editing software did you use to write in the end See Programming and Building Instructions at bla Bla bla

  • Windows Movie Maker on Vista

  • In a close future everything will be handled by lego, even in the bigger factories. If something fails you build it up again, adn if you don't like it, you store it.

  • yeah, it is designed retarded and is in a pattern to "sort" them

  • @Kirby00216 go to his site and look at how to make it.

he made it so can tell what the coiler is . the reason why it looks like its in a pattern cuss the ting that hits the peg is not fast so it cant recover in time so he make it like this gray black gray gray black or black gray gray gray do you understand??

  • dude thats dumb. the thing cant tell the difference. you just put it in that order so it would sort

  • no. if he did, he wouldn't have put it on a website for other people to see, would he?

  • @jcool1011 he used the color sensor to make the thing spin when there is a black one! You are dumb!!!

  • No he used a color sensor!

  • Well how can he make this out NXT 1.0??!?!? NXT 1.0 DOESNT HAVE A COLOR SENSOR!!!

  • @topitapi it's a LIGHT sensor!!!!

  • 6/10

  • well if i could make this i would use it i am very lazy at sorting <.<

  • this is nice, but it would be faster to sort them yourself :)

  • lol Now your legos can sort themselves!

  • omg thats cool

  • Complete Genius!

  • Cool but does it matter if you build with uncolor coded pegs? Try making one that does color and size. Great work though.

  • the difference between the 2 isnt color lol rascism! XD anyways its about how things hold up if you put a holed lego on the black it will not turn easy and is steady and wont shake as for the gray will slide like a plus peg when u put a holed lego on it

  • why is it a pattern?

  • It doesn't have to be, it just ended up that way when I set it up. There is a restriction that you can't have two black pegs in a row, though.

  • it takes talent to make a robot like this

But it takes 10x more talent to make instructions to good job!

  • That's right, but I already made the Machine Gun, and his designs and instructions are VERY good !

  • so true!

  • ok i s saw a nxt where the whole screen was cracked :D like 100 pices lol

  • is it ur cam or is the screeen of the NXT cracked?

  • Just reflections.

  • Ehm, how long time does it take to burn an NXT servo motor?

They seems to be very hard to burn!

  • please tell me why mine doesnt work

i pro gramed it the right way

  • Well, without seeing it I can only guess. What happens to yours?

This model is very finicky and may take some tweaking and patience to get it to work. Make sure you follow all 4 steps in the "Using the Peg Sorter" section carefully.

  • I've changed it a bit so that it can handle some more pegs.

  • that is really cool. its like having a mini factory. my assumption is the main component in that robot is the light sensor.

  • Agree. It can see different tints.

  • you should make a huminoid with wheels for feet

  • interesting))).....

  • I'd use a gate to divert - to keep it simple

  • Does it ever miss a peg?

  • Yes, there are a couple of weaknesses. First, as currently designed, it can't handle two black pegs in a row, because the mechanical hitter can't recover fast enough after hitting the first one in time to hit the second one (fixing this is left as a challenge...).

Also, unlike a real factory sorter, the pegs here are just sliding down from gravity, and sometimes a peg will get a little jammed on the way down and not slide as fast, which throws off the timing and it will get missed.

  • Perfectly! I was a lot of years back worked in a mining industry, we designed separators for rocks. This model - has reminded me a youth)))

  • awesome dude!!! another great creation

  • Comment removed

  • how does it scence the colors of the bricks?

  • The NXT light sensor is aimed down at the channel, and it "sees" the pegs as they slide down. The black pegs give a much darker reflected light value than the gray pegs.

  • I found this video link at your site! Very interesting! I will build it soon!

  • This is definantly cool, im going to build it today.

  • That is cool.

In fact, all the projects on your site are cool!

  • Cool :D
