They changed their training doctrine for Vietnam war to overcome this psychological defect in their population being unsuitable for training them from civilian, into killer in short time span. Remarkably, all of Häyhä's kills were accomplished in less than 100 days at a time of year with very short hours of daylight. Go to him and say face to face with him that he did almost nothing. They changed their training doctrine for Vietnam war to overcome this psychological defect in their population being unsuitable for training them from civilian, into killer in short time span. The key is making killing a reflect. A target pops up, you shoot it. Repeat so many times it becomes automatic. Problem solved. This sounds obvious now that the problem is solved.

I never said that I would like to see him somewhere, I said that in Russia he would have been dead. In terms of sniperwar you need to imperceptibly change position after each shot or shoot extremely rare. If your position after the shot, saw enemy sniper you will be killed as soon as you lift your head again, I'm not even talking about your second shot. But it seems like Hayha about such things not even worried.

S Hayho simply a good shooter and not a real sniper, if he would be in Stalingrad, or just on the Eastern front, he would have died within a week or sooner.
He just killed the freezing russian soldier from a distance, and never fought against snipers, never met in anti sniper action aces as a Zaicev, Surkov or Pavlyuchenko

Compared to those snipers whose foremost worries are noise and flash caused by shooting, Häyhä had to think about steam coming from mere breathing and disturbed snow caused by recoil. Not to mention hounds utilized when russians were hunting snipers. In snow, you cant run from pursuers, even less if they have hounds.

If Häyhä shot 500 Russians in less than 90 days (I don't count the Russians he shot with SMG, just the sniped ones), he would have killed 200 more in just 36 days.
