  • Products***

  • If u buy meat oroducts ur not vegeterian

  • Yeah, you're not vegan if you're buying meat products.

  • i was vegan for a year.....really enjoyed me powers and all .....but ....i stooped and you could have use any flavor because all of them have some animal in them

  • add a few diced pieces of tofu (fry it first if you so desire) to make it more filling, healthier and kinda tasty.

  • I admire this but your not helping animals at all if you still buy the product.

  • hahahaha! that makes it taste like regular ramen?!?!

why don't your try miso paste and konbu or mushroom stock..that should be more ramen-y

  • Since this was posted a year ago, you may have already figured this out, BUT, just in case: Top Ramen noodle packages have two flavors that are purley vegan: Oriental (blue package), and Chili Lime (bright green package). Both very delicious, very salty, and good for dirt poor vegans. :)

  • looks good, but pretty salty!!

  • ... or inead of maruchan you couldve just bought top ramen oriental flavor.

  • Why not just use packs of plain noodles... and add any ingredients you like rather than buying a product containing meat or dairy derivatives in the first place. That's like buying a big mac and taking out the meat, not very vegan :P

LOL)

Haha Ramen by itself does not contain animal products anyway. (A few, such as 博多ラ一Xソ,are made with pork broth... but the noodles themselves are, well, noodles. XD.

Be careful though (I won't, b/c I'm not vegan, but...) apparently many packets of ramen actually use eggs instead of kansui. With eggs, it becomes like the Cantonese egg noodle... off-limits for you guys. Just a heads up. :)

  • nice ccokin * ow * soz stomachs growling already heheh.....

  • Well yeah, of course we save the packets.

My sisters eat them on other different foods.

And about the soy cheese pizza thing-

I wouldn't personally touch it if it had peperoni on it,

but I'm sure someone else would eat it.

I don't let things go to waste.

  • cool video.

but i think you should just stick with the mushroom ramen and add all this cool stuff to this. Cause just ditching the non vegan packet would be wasting it. thats like getting a soy cheese pizza with pepperoni on it and then just picking off the pepperoni and throwing it away.

suggestion: save the packets and have the non vegan members of your household us it to season regular macaroni or noodles they buy in the store.

  • Congratulations on going vegan!!!!

Very cute cooking video, and a great example of how vegan eating is neither difficult nor expensive!

You could also try using vegetable stock instead of boiling water.

  • There is also Mushroom flavor ramen, and that is a totally vegan product in its own right.

  • My husband watched your video with me the 2nd time I commented, and now he is in the kitchen doing some ramen 'improv'!!

  • Yeah I've been vegan since the day I got back from Japan.

    woot.

it's amazing and I love it.

and yes, I got my shirt,

and i've been meaning to make a video about it!

the shirt is a bit small,

but i think that i could pull it off if i wore it over something.

    :)

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOT Kathlene!!! Kathlene is vegan!!!! ***happy dance***

Did you get your T-shirt yet?

  • I was about to protest you hadn't made a video now you were back home!

Hey we have those Maruchan Ramen thingies here too! LOL now I know how to make them Vegan :)

    Yum yum!
