  • hahaha the baby at 2:18

  • Always wanted to become an airline pilot...

  • I must have been one of the lucky ones. There wasn't a baby on my flight from Dallas Tx to Brisbane, nor was there one on the way back...lol.

  • @xxIronBobxx you're lucky for a flight that long. Was it a holiday ?

  • @mikeycbd Yea, I don't know how I got a flight either way with no kids screaming or crying...LOL. Yea it was a holiday, a 3 month holiday..LOL. I had a wonderful time over there and I can't wait until the end of Feb. I'm going back for another 3 months..LOL

  • @xxIronBobxx A lucky one for sure...todays parents are so rude with allowing their kids to cause a scene...cant stand flying with kids on board these days....but then again...when I flew as a kid my parents and every other parent would have given us a licking in public if we made a situation; kids were allowed in the cockpit and the pilots would allow us to sit on their laps then from the various airlines I flew as a kid....way different world now...with everyone a "suspect"...kwim?

  • Notice in many of these type of videos..you will hear babies crying .........

  • @pentogram23 You do indeed.

  • FUCK this baby !! i wanted to record this engine sounds !

  • @hzyoni Is there a reason you can not record?

  • @mikeycbd Yea the baby is ruining it!

  • I've been on this one :D

  • @legomovies64 :-) small world.

  • Very clear sound, great!!

  • @TheAhdacadabra cheers!

  • Mikey, you must be a gold or platinum frequent flyer am I right?

  • @Triple777ER no you're not. neither, not even silver. I have received some bonus points and status credits but that's it. I used about 100,000 points flying last year so discounted tickets rather than get to silver and have the privileges associated with that. I'm not into business for domestic flights where they stuff their faces when it's not even a meal time.

  • what row was this?

  • @wce9294061 a guess would be 18. that is the row I use to try for all the time.

  • @wce9294061 oh sorry it's 767, not 100% sure, around 23?

  • @wce9294061 It's either 39 or 40, it's a great seat I usually take 41.

  • @MRGRANDTHEFTAUTOROX LOL You started young then!

  • u can always rely on qantas pilots because they are top gun......best airline

  • You produce some good-quality vids, Mikey! Clear & crisp.

  • @mickithebush :-)

  • @Ananananiful if you're going to write something don't tell people they are going to die. get a life.

  • Hi, Would i be able to use the audio from this video on one of my flight simulator video's?

  • @GeneralofFlight Sorry but What you see on YouTube stays on YouTube.

  • Should have checked that child in as baggage in the cargo hold with fluffy the poodle. People these days with their kids...are so inconsiderate!

  • @505stealth LOL!

  • @omikeyz But in Austraila...don't disruptive kids on commercial aircraft count as a dog with rabies or wounded kangaroos?

  • A very nice landing QANTAS are the absolute best I'm flying on a 767 from Melbourne to Perth in August & I can't wait & I love the sound of the hydraulics when the landing is in progress.

  • @casperblackcat1975 sometimes i get good audio, depends where i'm sitting i guess. thanks for the comments.

  • @mikeycbd How did you manage to get your camcorder pass security as I have a bag with all my camera gear in it & I have my camera in it's own case will they play the 50 questions with me, Was it easy to have your camera on as they do say no electronic devices are meant to be on during take off & landing did you have to conceal your camera in anyway?.

  • @casperblackcat1975 Good question, my camera is small in its own case and no one has ever asked to look inside my bag. i normally carry it on the outside where my water bottle goes. then before i sit down i put the camera, ipod and stuff on my seat plus some kfc wipes to clean the window (a must when using HD recording) but even though i have been reminded to turn off my iPod no one has ever commented on the camera. no need to worry about it. No one has ever said anything.

  • @casperblackcat1975

    hydraulic

i hate that noise so scary ...

  • @grantourismo0109 You would hate it a lot more if those lines were sucking air and your pilot (plural) were having to to muscle-man the small emergency control surfaces! Hydraulics are the easiest way(beyond electrical worms and reduction ratio gears) to leverage objects. Plus Boeing has a redundant mechanical system ( direct to the pilot...cables) in the event of complete electrical failure/mishap

  • @505stealth

    still scary .... o_O

  • amazing video! thank you

  • cheers

  • thank you

    :-)

  • Typically full flights will get the 767 on high denstiy routes such as SYD-MEL and SYD-BRIS and BRIS-MEL and I'm sure there are many other flights which are generally full such as the 6-9am rush between major centres which will demand a 767 service.

  • Children fly first class too or did you just want tell everyone how glamorous you are? You aren't going to get your required validation on youtube my dear.

  • someone smack that kid ......LOL

  • that baby is annoying....but 5/5

  • omg for some reason i love the sound of the flaps. its amazing=]=]

  • gotta love Qantas... I live in the US right now, but I would love to fly for Qantas... the ONLY international carrier that I would even want to fly the 747 across the ocean...

  • come and fly with us im a flight attendant with qantas . i go to los angeles twice a month . cheers from melbourne australia.

  • Cheers. I'm originally from Adelaide, hence why I would love to work for Qantas. What's it like working for them?

  • It also helps to fly to more sophisticated destinations, not bogan centres such as Brisbane. Another tip, although this vid suggests otherwise, is to avoid budget airlines. They are LOADED with fat parents and screaming kids!

  • Only a bogan would make such a comment.

  • Great response! I'm utterly slain by your incorrect observation! Let me guess, you're a fat parent with screaming kids who lives in QLD? Seems you're calling me a bogan for the purposes of psychological projection!

  • No, I am fat, childless and live in the UAE. I don't mind Queensland, but I have never lived there, I have been based in Sydney before and I must say I have never seen a city populated by more wannabe nobodies than I had to suffer there. I don't avoid places because they don't make Vogue Living top 10. I actually enjoy most places I visit. In fact, the worst places are generally the ones frequented by people like you. You are a desperate sounding person who just wants to be someone.

  • HAHAHA! You brain dead idiot. You regard Sydney as being populated by wannabe nobodies yet you freely concede you live in the UAE?? Oh, let me guess, you live in that cultural toilet known as Dubai? UAE is the uber-bogan destination of choice!!! Its for simple Gold Coast types who marvel at eyesore hotels and gluttonous shopping. You tasteless clown...you crack me up!!!

  • I "freely concede" I live in the UAE because that is indeed where I live. Why do I live there? Because I have work here, taste isn't a factor. It's also the destination/home of choice for some of the largest organisation's in the world which possess far superior working conditions than that found anywhere else. The airline I work for pay's me handsomely to live here and the government doesn't take over half of my pay every year which, of course, makes me tasteless. You really haven't got a clue.

  • good video

  • thank you.

  • jeez you guys should really lighten up. sure kids can be little shits eh but they live in their own little world at that age, theres not heaps a parent can do. lol im 16 and im joining heading off to Griffiths next year for Qantas Cadet Pilots Program so i should be saying the opposite!! haha but yeh.

  • F*kn Kids. As one may say (in Paul Hogan accent) "Shoot it"

  • Hey Jerram89, there is a cure for kids, its called business class... give it a try!

  • i suppose its the parents - some just dont know how to control their own kids and decide to punish others when they take them on a long haul flight! i was very good when i was flying at a young age lol!

  • Absolutely! I flew from Sydney to London last October and there was a 3 year old and his mother in front of me the whole 22 or so hours. Not a peep was heard from the child. It was a credit to his mother, and I complimented her upon landing at Heathrow!

  • Really is high quality. Love the Flap sounds and being able to see th spoilers on descent. You did a really good job. Keep posting videos please!

  • cheers PilotUTA

  • "shutup" absolute quality!! children should be banned from flying!!

  • this is why guns are not allowed on Aircraft, they are afraid the children would get it!

  • hey im 13 does that mean i cant fly because i adore airplanes?

  • wats a job to do with planes

  • Boeing wings are so much different than Airbus wings!

  • ROFL you can hear someone say shutup in response to that one annoying baby that seems to cry on every single airplane flight

  • So freaking right!!!

  • Yet another excellent video Mikey. Some fantastic views of the city I have come to know and love over the last 25 years. Never realised till I watched this that they are extending the Gateway Bridge. Thanks again !!

    mad62,

    PAISLEY,

    Scotland

  • Thats true, OK then perhaps oxygen masks would solve the problem in the cabins then.Instant muffling!!

  • Absolutely brilliant filming, very interesting flap action, almost tutorial. Crying children should be in the luggage hold LOL

  • how kind, but i think you may have the RSPCA complaining that the animals are getting disturbed by the children in the other area.
