President Bush was very effective here and I admire his stance. President Obama would have back off and given in to the reporter. He took the President 3 days to address the American people after an attempted terrorist attack and even so, he could get his first statement right. He had to come back the 2nd day to re-address the American poeple with what should have been done the same day. I love & support Obama but can't stand his reluctance to lead as President! He needs to be more Presidential.

@DoubleR2007 i have lived in foreign countries for 12 years as a diplomat. I know DEA agents, 3 CIA stations chiefs, CIA counter-terrorists, 6 FBI counter-terrorists in senior ranking positions, generals, military attaches the list goes on. unless you were an officer especially a high ranking officer I doubt you know more than I do.
There are several counter-terrorist missions that the American people have never even knew existed, some of which involved extraordinary rendition.

Intelligence services don't have the luxury of dealing in the vague unsubstantiated assumptions like you make. There is a reason for being secretive and there are measures in place to hold administrations accountable thru cong. and the justice dept.
