  • hey thank you for the tip i will post a video soon :)

  • hey i'm gonna buy a flemish giant teusday and my question is can i let him play in my backyard without him walking away sorry fot the bad english is speak it better than i typ it :P:P greetings from holland :)

  • @pullmol17 I wouldn't let him play in such an open space until he's more trained. You'll want some kind of barrier / fence, even if he's a baby. Sequoia could come when I called her, but it took a few weeks just for her to get used to me. Moving to a new home is kind of traumatic for animals, so do everything in small steps.

Start by giving him a tiny play place outside then make it bigger and bigger.

  • Doesn't she chew your furnature if you let her run free all over the apartment for the entire day? Or do you put her in an enclosure at night? I've thought about a flemish giant for a while and I know they really are too big to house in a cage and it just seems wrong but I've had a really big holland lop before and she grew to a size where it just seemed wrong to keep her caged and she seemed to keep nibbling on the furniture. Do you just give her chews and she stays away from it or...?

  • @fantabulousK She passed away, but when I had her the only furniture she chewed was a table leg. In one apartment she liked the baseboard around 1 wall's corner, but I got a lemon spray or something to hinder her destruction (it wasn't that bad, but had noticeable bite marks). She had other things to chew (an open phone book, wooden toys)

She was litter trained, but when i wasn't home, or at night, I kept her contained in a wire-free, baby gated room. When I was home and awake she was free.

  • i think your bunny's feet are telling you the floor is dusty....

  • I am think about breeding these for meat.

  • @defiythelie this coment is not right yes there fat but very cute

  • i have one

  • i love flemish giants :3

my boyfriend bought me one 5 days agoo, and i'm thinking of putting videos of him on youtube :3

  • can anyone pls tell me how much these bunnies are in california? :D

  • @MrDanielj123 You'll have to find a breeder (not just a pet store). Google "Flemish Giant Breeder California." Should be anywhere from $75-150. Sometimes it's cheaper if you want a pet and more if you want a show rabbit. :)

  • @MrDanielj123 idk but i live in michigan in got it from the humane society for 20$

  • DEWLAAAAAP!

  • I love your choice of name as it's so right for a giant rabbit with that colouring.

  • there so cute flemish giants <3

  • Wonderful little clip of your bunny! I think if you added more of those nifty rythmic timing clips using other pieces of footage, this would make it better :D! Love it! So cute!!

  • I REALLY wanna hear this big bastard thump.

  • Haha can't wait until mine is fully grown :D but I am enjoying her as a baby until then.

  • heya =D i have a giant chinchilla mix =) im planning to get myself a baby FG (female) as well but not anytime soon, hee.. im studying abroad in malaysia, so id prolly get one a few months before i grad. i seriously thought my TuTu was an epically stubborn and a failure but it turns out i was wrong. he became a funtastic pet! xx

  • I love ur bunnyyyyyyyyy.

I cant wait to get my giant OMG best first pet in TEH WERLD

  • LOVE the Flemmies, and I love her name. She looks like a very happy and well cared for bunbun.

  • I used to have a Flemish Giant as a kid it used to chase my cat out of the garden there great pets

  • that's one big bunny!

  • how do you get a gaint from a breeder?

  • Just contact the breeder. You can run an Internet search for breeders in your area. Sometimes they are sold at county fairs and the like, but it's better to go to the farm and see the conditions they were raised under. Depending on where you live, you can get a Flemish Giant from champion blood lines for as little as $75.

  • Just how a bunny should be. Happy, inquisitive, active & relaxed. Good job.

  • Do all female bunnies have a dewlap, or just certain breeds? I had a female Polish rabbit when I was a kid, and I don't remember her having one...

  • @Honeydew7396 Males & females get them. Especially after neutering. It can be a sign of over feeding, but not always.

  • Thank you for a wonderful video. We just lost our beautiful Flemish female last night, and this helps remind me of how lovely she was before she became ill.

  • @scarletteprincess It's called a dewlap. And that's exactly what it is: a fat roll.

  • She's cute, but she could use a friend. Two rabbits aren't much more work, but much more fun to have.

  • @EastFrisian She has two cat friends. :)

  • @MichelleKozlowski I hope this was a bad joke.

  • @MichelleKozlowski are rabbits or cats more playful? which will stay on your lap longer?

  • but a rabbit wont mate with a cat.you wont have sex with a dog now, would you?

  • whoa that thing is bigger than my beagle lol!

  • Biggest dewlap I've seen on a Flemish xD Adorable bunny you'v got there!

  • @Sylalei :) Thanks. And I think she has since lost some of that dewlap, but it's still rather sizable.

  • dang that's a huge rabbit!! I'm considering buying a Giant and I was wondering if you could tell me how much ur baby cost?

  • @katalyst94 She's a Flemish Giant and she cost me $75. The breeder I used ranged from $75-100. Because I wanted a pet, not a show rabbit, she was cheaper.

  • that's not a rabbit. that's a bunny

  • she's so sweet.

  • Lol... i think its really time to eat it soon.. xD

  • it looks like it has goiter... :|

  • No, it's not a goiter...it's a dewlap. The females use it to pull hair from to line the nest for the kits (baby bunnies).

  • aborable,, (L)

  • The music definitely goes with the vid.

  • someone should take a sluge hammer to that piano

  • Masoukishin that bites

  • wow i have a lab mix and Sequoia here is almost as big...wow that's on awesome bunny ;)

  • Makes me think of my bunny... im so sad... my little mo mo .... my friggin mom let it run away....

  • What an adorable bun! What a big dewlap. Do Flemish giants have dewlaps that big normally?

  • THATS A BIG BUNNY. lol. I always wanted a flemish giant but I don't think I can handle all the hair

  • Cute, though. :)

  • definitely.

  • Its ears are massive lmfao.

  • Omg if I could afford to feed that big adorable ball of fluff I would get a Flemish giant in a heart beat! but I can't so I'll just settle for my two dwarfs :) gorgeous rabbit with her puffy chest, So cute!

  • You did a great job with this video, and Sequoia is beautiful. I love Flemish Giants. :)

  • awesome vid - captured the best essence of a bun

  • A male will spray to mark territory, you can't train him out of that, neutering him would be the best bet to get him to use a litterbox...I've had 9 rabbits, none use the litterbox 100%. It depends on the rabbit, you can get some good ones to use it about 90%. Using 2 litterboxes where you notice he goes regularly is a good way to start, eliminate the one he doesn't use. It can take quite a while to get them adjusted. People have to remember they are not like cats.

  • @imSUCHaFUCKINGmaster Liszt-Hungarian Rhapsody #2.

  • what is the name of that song? any1?

  • @imSUCHaFUCKINGmaster Liszt- Hungarian Rhapsody #2

  • Aww! I love the feet! She is adorable!!!!

  • The thing on its neck is just a fat pad. It means its a female-its normal :)

  • its called a Dewlap. its for storing nutrients

  • @cari911 Technically, it's called a Dewlap. and it is where the milk is formed. Then when (If) the rabbit has babies, the millk formed in the dewlap goes to the nipples and the babies can drink from them. But, yes, the large dewlap only appears on females (I know this because my grandma is a Flemish Giant Breeder) :-)

  • @cari911 It is called DEWLAP!! :)))

  • its the thing out of wallace and gromit! lol

  • whats on its neck?

  • a dewlap

  • if u think flemish giants r big search (on u tube) german grey giant rabbit its thie 1st 2 vids

    SEQUOIA IS AWESOME lol

  • adorable

  • MAN THATS THE BEST RABBIT EVER

  • What a beautiful color. Nice name for her/him!

  • My rabbit only has little ears :(

  • Rabbits are so awesome. I've alwaysed loved the big breeds and want a flemish giant very badly. Heck. They can beat up a cat if they wanted. Probably eat your dog too.

  • I want that big and beautiful bunny! All male rabbits must be in love with her.

  • Sequoia is a beautiful flemish giant. I have a Califorian mix male and a Netherland dwarf amle. My next rabbit is going to be a Giant Flemish. Is Sequoia litter box trained by chance? I have both of mine trained and it makes a world of a difference in keeping them inside the house during the cold winter months here in MI. Keep making more videos of you baby. I really enjoyed viewing this video of yours. Thanks and many Thanks to your Sequoia as well :o)

  • ive seen fatter bunnies

  • why do they do that with their noses?

  • fool they must breathe

  • you breathe too i assume......does your nose twitch the whole time?

  • Don't judge me.

  • That is how rabbits talk.

  • adorable. love the music, too.

  • She's a beauty.

  • great vid! your rabbit is so gorgeous! and cute too :]

  • Georgeous rabbit. she looks like my flemish doe :)

  • Where do you get them?

  • Bigger than my cats. WOW!

  • aww where did u get ure bunny?

  • She's so cute! :D

  • i want a flemish giant so bad

  • OMG!!! i have a flemish giant named Sequoia 2!! but he is blue!

  • OMG!! i have a flemish giant rabbit named Sequoia 2!!! but he is grayish blue!!

  • at the spca where i got Pepper, my bunny, there was a flemish giant bunny, and she was so sweet, sort of tempered like a dog, and she loved to have her belly skratched! she was saved from a meat farm.

  • They are like dogs! It's fantastic, they're sooo sweet!

  • Really, they're more like cats though. Because they have 'tude.

  • bigger than my dog but very adorable. i had one when i was young the cat was scared to death of it.

  • awesome video. she's beautiful <3

  • Love it! She's so cute - i love the 4 frames of noses - made me giggle. Thanks for this fun video. Laura - w w w . d o u b l e l r a b b i t r a n c h . c o m

  • beautiful

  • Jeez it's like a bloody cow compared to my rabbits o_o"

  • Absolutely adorable video and rabbit!! Love her big ears :) Very well put video too.

  • Thank youuu. She does have amazing ears.

  • @MichelleKozlowski is she litter trained, by the way do you still have her?

  • This is a really great video, it has been put together lovely, its very imaginative. As for your big Bun hes absolutly gorgeous, lovely big ears!! *^__^*

  • I also have a Flemish Giant (Stanley) but he is steel grey, we used to have him in a hutch, but for the last 5 months we brought him into the house over the winter and he has since been a house rabbit. I would never put him back outside now! He follows me around sits on the sofa with me for cuddles. Litter training them is time consuming and he often has a little accident, but it's so worth it.

  • does he chew on stuff?

  • Yes! You really have to watch him, we have a big dog cage that he goes in at night and when we are at work in the day. But as soon as we are at home he bounds around the house. He has chewed through a lamp lead and an ipod charger too! We get him wooden toys to chew on, but they do like to chew the furniture. You just have to keep a watchful eye on them.

  • Was it hard to litter box train her? I just got a 3 week old baby Flemish Giant and was just wondering how long you think it would take to train him--and also could you maybe give me some tips on how to train mine? I'll put some videos of him up, soon. He is so sweet. I just got him yesterday and within hours he was being a little nuzler!!! Aww.

  • how much are they and can you tell me and message me seperately where to find a breeder..if you hav time

  • if you let them roam around the house, are they like a dog kinda? do they poop and pee also all over

  • She's more like a cat than a dog. She is litter trained. Sometimes she wants to be social and hang out, or sit by me and get pet. Other times she wants to go lie down behind the futon out of sight for a couple hours. She can do a couple tricks, though.

  • if you let them roam around the house, are they like a dog kinda? do they poop and pee also all over

  • oh ok thanxs

  • where can u get these, in a regular pet shop?

  • No. A regular pet store will rarely if ever have a Flem. Giant. I got mine from a breeder in Yelm, WA.

  • I have a Flemish Giant. Mine is a sandy color. I named her Cuddles. So big but cute.. I LOVE YOURS TOO!

  • :) Do you have videos of Cuddles? Sequoia is a sandy, too.

  • must have big teeth.. i wouldn't like to get bit by it

  • She only uses them on...cilantro and collard greens and blocks of wood. And electrical wires. Not on me. :)

  • hehe that's good then :P

  • She is adorable! I've been thinking about getting a Flemish Giant. Does Sequoia usually live in a cage or just roam around your house? I probably wouldn't be able to get a cage...

  • She has a cage (which is actually a large dog crate), and her litter box is in her cage, which is in the kitchen. The kitchen is babygated off and she can roam around the kitchen freely. When I'm home she can roam around the whole apartment. But I put her in the kitchen at night (she actually comes when I call, so it's not hard to get her back in there). Even when she is allowed around the apartment, I think she likes having a space that is hers.

  • That is pretty much the same set-up we have. Sometime you let Stanley roam around the house and he prefers to go and chill out in his little home watching the world go by!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this video!!!!!!!

  • Thank youuuu.

  • Wow! I have a Holland Lop and gave her free reign over the house, and she chewed everything. How about Sequoia? Loved the vid, great editting, what software do you use?

  • Sequoia is quite the chewer as well. Of course she wants to chew my books and chair legs and not the lovely toys I buy her.

I used final cut express on a mac. Glad you liked it :), thanks.

  • Downy, my Holland Lop likes to chew on chair legs, moldings and the corners of walls. Nothing deters her. But my girlfriend makes her toys with toilet paper tubes that she folds over and hides a treat inside. That keeps her occupied a bit :)

    Happy New Year!

  • Something you can do that'll make it so you can let your bunny have free reign over your house, and not worry about her distroying your chair legs is to wrap them in bubble wrap, and if wires are a worry you can case them in aquarium tubing to make them safter. :).

  • how many pounds is she?

  • Probably 20 pounds, but she hasn't been weighed as an adult yet...and I don't have a scale.

  • i love these rabbits!

  • sequioa IS adorable. i'm amazed by how little she's destroyed your place. my bunnies eat my walls, my blankets, my books, my bags...

    loves!
