  • It's not hyperflexion, rather Low, Deep and Round.

Both are bad for the horse.

  • People calling this hyperflexion are retarded. Obviously you all are backyard yahoos who most likely own inbred horses with no common knowledge of the performance horse.

It's called getting your horses on the bit.

Hyperflexion is when the chin of the horse touches the horses chest.

  • OMG! everyone who says that this is hyperflexion or something else that's bad for the horse is an idiot who doesn't know anything about dressage! She's just letting her horse strech his neck!

  • This is totally stretching and springy....I call it "loose and juicy"...I have seen the best advanced riders warming up like this. The horse loves it. Ride the back, not the frame.

  • @Walnut28Comms Can you tell me how you can tell the difference between this and attempted rollkur? I can see some difference, but not enough so that I would be able to pick it out w/out someone telling me first. Thanks! :-)

  • @4Champ2and0

Thanks for bringing me back to this video. I just finished reading the article in USDF Magazine about the big discussion about ring Steward's monitoring the am't of time horses are allowed to warm up "behind the vertical." The "teacher" insisted on using a video, because a still photo doesn't do it. Look at the rein contact! a) it is loose. b) when the rider "gives" the horse gently takes...i.e. he likes the feel, and feels good to stretch neck & back! loose & juicy!

  • @Walnut28Comms THank you for your friendly reply! That makes it much clearer and easier to spot! :-) I always heard that being behind the verticle is not good for the horse, I thought that is where the big fuss was w/rollkur.. Is it just bc Rollkur is more of a "forced" behind the verticle? Just curious, was the article opposed to the amount of time used for it or encouraging it to go longer? Sorry for all the questions!

  • no they don't - she's been doing this for YEARS and sometimes for 30 minutes or more.

  • Comment removed

  • @hannahpac to do that it doesn´t take 3 second it takes hours of practice and hours of pain for the horse she is riding, so it isn´t the 3 sec video is the long way behind it

  • right!

  • hyperflexion... hateful

  • This is not hyperflexion. She lets the horse stretch and the neck comes long.

  • Idiot ridning !

    :'(

  • Why is she an idiot the horses head was on the vertical and she was riding very well that was amazing my horse only trots like that for me with lots and lots of leg haha. That was a pretty good outline :)

  • what's wrong??

  • waarom och?

  • hi, Your horse is really pretty :) Do you think that you can go and look at my 2 riding videos and comment on them to tell me what you think? I am not very good, I just wanted to get another dressage riders oppinion, thanks :)

  • Hehe, it's not "Ouch", it's the Swedish word "Och" meaning "And?" I'm generally asking what combos I have filmed because I don't know. Funny.

  • @fnyfniken - I saw that and though American/English "Ouch" and was in disbelief at how that was an ouch moment lol. Beautiful horse and looks great!

  • whats so ouch about that ?

  • och..not ouch. och is and in swedish

  • sorry lol

  • lol, many non swedish speakers dont know it. it's the normal thing to do! is to think its a mistake. ;)
