  • at 2:42 is that a black policeman?? in America?? in 1965??

  • @bigman25plus25

    Probably just a hired bodyguard.

  • Why are there instruments unplugged at shea??

  • damn i would be pissed, to go and see them, and not be able to hear them. Them girls need to shut the fuck up!!!!!

  • When the camera moves to the stands, that is proof that Beatlemania was unlike anything the world has ever seen and will never see anything like it again.

  • i've nEver seEn a fAns lIKe tHAt noWadaYS//...wuuuuu..beAtlEs the bEst.

  • man, i feel bad for those cops!

  • is it just me or did twist and shout seems to end really quick

  • How many bands last fifty years with only a ten year career, huh?

  • @razetora true, true. And two of them are dead too... I think they'll gonna last another fifty years since younger people are liking them too

  • @albuorkka Fifthy years? They'll be listened to forever. Centuries to come they'll be still getting stoned listening to Pepper.

  • Shit, my amp is more powerful :-P

  • thumbs up if you are going to watch all of these

  • bons tempos.... ;) saudades

  • lmao what the hell are they crying about i think you ruin a band's legacy when you cheer on their image rather than their own music

  • you can really tell the intensity of the screams from "twist and shout" and shea stadium.. like other songs from that I could understand a bit better, this one was really quiet =/

  • 6:39 "The song is called... hopefully enough... aaahh... ahaaaaaaaaaha O.O' look at... :O" LOL John is friggin terrified XD

  • @thenintendogamer I LOL at that part every time.

  • I wonder how may audiences were there...

  • This concert is insane. Seriously it's hard to wrap my head around one group of people causing such an uproar. I guess that's The Beatles for ya.

  • That's what you call being in the eye of the hurricane.

  • I always wondered what would've happened if, when they printed the tickets to be sold for their concerts, the Beatles had the printers put on them something like, "The Beatles kindly request that you scream BETWEEN the songs and not DURING. Thank you and kindest regards." I think they might've done the touring thing past 1966.

  • girl at 1:51 looks ,the middle one looks like ringo

  • 6.36 lmao

    "aw look at her"

  • Apple records should release this concert on DVD...

  • Must have been the easiest gig in town being The Beatles.

If they stuffed up the music or lyrics, who'd even hear you?

    LOL

  • dear wat can i do?

    babys in blackkkk

    and im felling BLUEEEEE !

  • the beatles the best band of rock in the worl forever

  • Totally true, but I hate the band your posting name is named after.

  • lol in 3:57, are the police or guard man trying to take the girl camera ????

  • where are all of these women today?

  • maybe they are playing Guitarr Hero or singing When I'm 64 on Karaoke,,,,

  • They're grandmas of a lot of people!

  • @QuiznoZapperdasher I picture all those crazy chicks old now, and telling their grand children about how they were obsessed with the Beatles. haha

  • @QuiznoZapperdasher Watching Paul and Ringo in concert

  • @QuiznoZapperdasher Probably at Lady Gaga or Bieber concerts.

  • @QuiznoZapperdasher in a retirement home you dirty basterd

  • @budbud619 hahaha good shit

  • @QuiznoZapperdasher Well my mom was there...but she wasn't one of those girls who were screaming but she told me a lot about it!

  • @QuiznoZapperdasher Taking their grandchildren to the Up and Coming Tour, jeje

  • @QuiznoZapperdasher i met a few while living in liverpool, they are beautiful older ladies with secret smiles!

  • lol @ cop @ 0:45 pluggin' his ears!

  • just think what would of happened if there was no police or gates or any protection.

  • they look like they had a lot fun playing at shea stadium

  • I was always impressed that the Beatles in concert usually sounded just great, when you consider they couldn't hear a thing. Fine harmonies and all.

  • You know, even with ear pieces and all the technology that exists today, you would still be hard pressed to find an act that sounds as good live as these guys did.

  • Well, they certainly had plenty of practice, with the grueling hours they put in in Hamburg. They said later that that's what got them as good as they were. I wonder how many bands today would make it through that kind of crap, and being dirt poor and practically starving as the Beatles were then, too? I'm a musician and all I can say is that if there is an easier route to get there and still learn like they did, I hope I can find it and not go through all that!

  • 0:52 ouch deafening

  • what's the point of going to a show where all you can hear is girls screaming drowning out the music?

  • Are you kidding? Id give both my balls, both my right eye and all my toes to go to a beatles concert and not be bale to hear anything. Its something you would remember forever and tell to your kids.

  • would there be a point? maybe for you, but not for everyone else who actually listens to the music, and doesn't fangirl all over the musicians themselves.

  • I met 3 people who saw The Beatles in concert,2 in 1966,& another in 1964,& she& he & she told me they could hear them &they were great.Former Kiss guitarist &producer of the heavy metal Beatles tribute album,Butchering The Beatles saw them in 1966& he said he could hear parts of them playing Baby's In Black&Paperback Writer & that they sounded amazing.A guy Steve from Canada on Artist Facts said he saw The Beatles in 66&The Stones in 96 he said The Stones were great, but The Beatles were The

  • He said but The Beatles were the greatest band ever! When he saw them in 66 the sound systems were very limited&primitive compared to when he saw The Stones in 96.George says in The Beatles Anthology that special 100 watt amps were made for their August 65 Shea show, before that they only had 30 watts! They had no feedback montitors then so they couldn't even hear themselves play&sing, but they amazingly managed to sing in sync &in tune with each other anyway!

  • getting something straight, I never said anything bad about The Beatles themselves, I love them. And agree, they were/are the greatest band in history.

  • 4:29 The girl in the red shirt looks lost.

"Where am I? Why are all these girls screaming? Concert what? Shea what? The Whatles?"

  • No, shes the only girl in the stadium that actually calm.

What about the girl in 4:15 that got dragged out in a straitjacket?

  • lol. that would be me. :]

  • lolololololollololololololololololol then too roflroflroflroflroflroflroflroflroflroflroflroflroflroflroflrofl

  • cool dudes!

  • fueron los mejores y lo seguiran siendo

  • its constant screaming.

    non-stop.

  • That's why they gave up live playing, that combined with the crappy limited sound systems they had in those days.

  • i like 'BABY'S IN BLACK"

  • what a disgusting comparison.

  • i mean like, the screaming fans

  • were just saying never ever compare the beatles to the jonas brothers

    EVER!

    not even same league

  • no but the only fans of jonas brothers are 12 year old girls. and the jonas brothers dont perform to 60,000 plus.

  • jonas brothers are liek the americn version of a band called 5

    never heard of them???

    exactly lulz

  • Roger Daltry says in an online interview,Roger's Journey With The Who in The Sun,He was asked if The Who had screaming girls& he said it was the screaming era & that after they did Can't Explain they had screaming teen girls&that every band had them on their way up.He said it was fun but the trouble for a performer when you're that young&inexperienced you start to judge your performance by the amount they scream,he said it's nonsense which is why Lennon gave up.

  • Yeah and VERY IGNORANT TOO!

  • A poster Reverend Rock who is a Reverend&a Rock musician & a big Beatles fan,he had a Beatles avatar on a Classic Rock site,&he recently joined The Beatles Links forum, posted on a classic rock site a few years ago, that anyone who knows The Beatles history knows it's ludicrious to even suggest that they were ever a "boyband"! They were always a *TRUE GREAT ROCK BAND*! As a musician said on another site, watch The Beatles Anthology &learn how immensely talented this band really was!

  • In Hunter Davies great only 1968 authorized Beatles biography,he says doctors testified that girls had orgasams at their concerts. Not only did they write tons of great *rock* songs even in their early days like John's You Can't Do That,&Paul's I'm Down & She's A Woman etc,& John & Paul wrote 1 of The Rolling Stones first hits,I WAnna Be You're Man in late 1963,but there are music scholars&award winning music professors who teach& Have written books about them.

  • Like university of Penn graduate musiciologist AlanW.Pollack's online extensive 11 year series called,Notes On (every Beatles song),& University of Michigan music professor&musician Walter Everett's 2 volume books,The Beatles As Musicians,& award winning music professor& composer Dr.Glen Gass at University Of Indiana School Of Music teaching a Beatles&Rock music course since 1982,& Dr.Gary Kendal's Beatles course is the most requested at North Western University etc.

  • Also there was the British music scholar&composer professor Wilfred Mellers who was at Cambridge & he wrote the first serious music Beatles analysis,Twilight Of The Gods:The Music Of The Beatles, not to mention a ton of popular respected rock artists that stil call them great &many say the greatest band ever. And look up the excellent All Music Guide's Beatles biography too.

  • q dice? No comprendo.

  • My ears a ringing from the girl's screaming. Ouch.

  • i agree....

  • Vive Les Beatles,.....yeah!

  • Te Amo Paul McCartney!! *-*

  • paul es el mas guapo de todos

  • me encantan los beatles. Gracias amigo por subir este espectacular documental.

  • As much as I love these guys, it's funny to watch the anthology and see that Paul's live song intros never changed. You'd think he would have gotten more comfortable or accustomed to the shrieking after a couple of years. Anyway, it's all part of their magic.

  • yes it is.

And the beatles thinked it too, for that reason they didnt want to do shows in live.

  • Been a fan for 20 years of my life.. and Im 20 years old LOL

  • no its not

  • John at 8:58 jajajaja great lennon

  • They sang their songs again and again.

  • stupid fuck

  • it doesnt work

  • me too i been the fan for 26 years!!

  • Ha!!Well,I've been a fan for the whole 11 years of my life!!11!!LOL!!

  • lol john points and laughs at the girl running in the outfield.

  • My eldest sister was there at the concert, with a classmate she HATED! I remember my mother was terrified that my sister would be trampled to death, saying "Hold her hand and never let go!" We woke up early (all five siblings) the next morning, sitting outside her room, waiting for to wake up so we could hear every excruciating detail of the concert!

  • aha

  • anthology 4ever

  • As much as I love them I think it'd be hilarious if Paul and George accidentally banged heads while they were performing xD

Surely I can't be the only person whos thought of that? Haha xD

  • Love the Beatles. Been a fan for 20 years. I used to listen to my uncles albums all the time.

  • It is interesting how the intro shows (intentionally or not) that "The Beatles" were much bigger than John, Paul, George or Ringo

  • Those girls aren't the swiftest are they? "Maybe if I scream really loud and wave, they'll see me!" Fat chance, have they even seen the crowd around them?

  • lol Paul's so bouncy :)

  • the beatles are my favourite

  • me two

  • tehe at 3:14 the police guys are slapping a girl that fainted:-) and how come at the beginning of i feel fine they didnt do the feedback it sounds so cool :-( go beatles you guys rock!!!!! no one comes close!

  • Hahaha! You've got to be kidding me

  • the best band of all time..fuck everyone else

  • HEAR, HEAR!!!

  • I'd be one of those hysterical girls today, let alone 43 years ago. As soon as Ringo or Paul has a concert near here, I'm getting tickets.

  • ringo and paul still play together?

  • she said "ringo or paul" implying one or the other. had she said "ringo and paul", it would imply both were playing together. darlingmaureen meant one or the other.

  • They have actually played together since the Beatles' breakup, but not like in a let's-form-a-group kind of way.

  • ya i would to!!! but its just not the same... even paul alone wouldn't be as good without the rest... they sort of belong together

  • If i was around 43 years ago, i would DEFINATLY be 1 of those hysterical girls!!

    OMG, how chaotic!!

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • me too...

  • wow i wish i was there in she stadium, just amazing!

  • there was like 60000 pple there

    crazy man

    wish i was ther

    lol

  • They must have had to wear ear-plugs for their concerts because that amount of noise would deafen anyone.

  • good god.

  • I think the girls screaming makes their performance much much better!

  • No lip-synching for these guys...even when they couldn't hear themselves sing. I remember sitting in front of the TV watching them on Ed Sullivan. Seeing this video makes me feel 13 again, and yes, they still make me want to scream! Their music stands the test of time, and amazingly the lyrics are still relevant 40 years later. Fabulous video!!! Many, many thanks for sharing.

  • Even if they did resort to lip-synching, they still couldn't hear the recordings over the monitors with those girls.

  • wow, thanks!

  • Wow!!!!....thanks for all your videos!!!!

  • The Beatles are a healthy drug of choice...enlightening and fullfilling.

  • No crowd surfing for those guys- it'd be like dropping a cow into a piranha tank.

  • I never seen a stadium full of girls freak for jesus like they did for the beatles in this video lol.

  • a fact that is rarely mentioned is that that last concert was only 35 minutes long! all those people, all that preparation, them being flown in by helicopter, all for a mere 35 minutes! amazing

  • lennon le genie

  • you dont see that anymore...

  • All the delicious young girls they could ask for - how lucky they were.

  • In which part they sang "Kiss me much" (Bésame mucho)?

  • I like it !

  • That's great'!

  • Could you imagine if the Beatles were to, oh say, take their shirts off at that concert? The girls were in an absolute frenzy as it was. They were absolutely delirious. If they were to all remove their shirts, I swear all the girls would probably have dropped dead or something. It's just unbelievable how idolized they were. It's no wonder John made the remark about being bigger than God after looking at this audience.

  • OMGOSH, that would've been a total hot and sexy OVERLOAD!!!! I would pay good money to see that and then faint in the process!

    *sigh*...too bad it never happened.

  • It just wasn't the 60s thing to do, I guess. Nowadays it would probably be different. (That's not to say Paul should strip off his shirt at age 66, but you know what I mean!)

  • LOL! In Paul's current state, that is definitely better left undone.

But seriously, had they done that back then, my head would've exploded!

  • Oh wow, I lol'd hard.

  • GAWD, Paul and John look good enuff to eat, don't they! I was only 10 years old, no, scratch that, not EVEN 10 yet. Two months away from 10 then.

  • LOL I think that would've produced fainting spells EN MASSE in the audience!

  • Oh. My. God.

    The people! That is just...insanity.

  • yea

  • Wow, love it! One of my favourite concerts ever.

Superb, was going to say I'm Down is great, but they all are!
