PBS...do yourselves and our kids a really BIG favor and PULL THE PLUG on the new Electric Companaaaaaaay yo yo YOOOOOOO!

The origional series...as dated & as trippy as it may be....was a classic work of art not to mention a great learning tool for kids and to try & remake a masterpiece is a bad idea in general. Sometimes on rare occations remakes are good, but this new series tarnishes a classic work of art.

Sorry for the ranting & raving but I had to say what was on my mind.

Another good lesson to learn here about the number 1 kids is when something was done right the FIRST time "(like the origional Electric Comapny was)" it is unwise to try and improve upon it because when you do it brings about disasterous results, Not to mention terrible ratings!

I grew up on the 70s EC...and I've s hown my students the classic eps and the LOVE it...this new version has it's perks...it does somewhat follow the orginal format...but does so in shorter segments *as does Sesame Street* because our children today do NOT have the attention span we had. It's a koo show...but IMO doesn't measure up to the original. But neirther did the 90s version of Zoom...or the current verison of Sesame Street. But I still think it's a start cuz PBS was BAD 4 a while.
