As per the manual stick a pellet behind it ;) in a springer. The weight of these felts are too light to counteract the bounce of the piston. It's like dry firing the rifle.
@zakamooza It will go though a plastic bottle... If your skin is stronger than a plastic bottle... then no... But the chances are that you are not the Hulk and therefore might find that after getting shot with one you may need a trip to the hospital.
@Mightylite94 this isnt a good way to clean your gun. I'm sure you've got a 100 dollar gun, so it doesn't really matter how you clean that piece of shit. But for those of us with expensive guns, this isn't a real option.

@Mightylite94 I noticed your video upload. You can't even shoot a decent sized group with your pellet rifle. Yes, I shoot powder burning rifles as well, handguns too. Do you need a lesson in how to clean those types of guns too? If your lack of skill with a pellet rifle is any indication of your overall shooting skill, no person or animal needs to be worried about you owning any type of gun.

you can put these pellets in gun oil before you shoot them. this will protect the metal from rust.
