hello i am not kitt but karr ha ha ha no karr is so lame kit u rule yes u are very awesome but sorry to say i love the old kitt trans am sorryyyyyy every one but yeah maybee in this series the old kitt and the new kitt will both show up at the same time wow
another disagreemant for the narrator they should have kept the attack kitt from the debute movie for the new series this one looks like a matchboxcar expanded
THEY TOTALLY MESSED UP! look at how CHILDISH the car looks in attack mode, ESPECIALLY from the front! and sides! whats going on with the spoliers across the head lamps? and unneccessary holes in the bottom lip of the front bumper? the wheels!? especially the front wheels...thats no alloy wheel my freinds...that looks like some stupid hubcap!!! WHY WHY WHY!
They had it SPOT ON in the Pilot episode!!! why didnt they keep it that way!?
Part 4 - I like the idea of seeing elements of the old series being integrated into this one. A cameo from the KITT 2000 will be cool now and them, but if William Daniels is returning to the show I see him replacing the pilot KITT voice. I don't see them integrating both cars into the series, though the existence of the KITT was revealed in the pilot. They seemed to have ignored the story line from the 1990's Knight 3000 pilot.
Part 3 - I think KITT should stand out from a regular Shelby Mustang just as the Firebird KITT stood out from a regular Trans-AM. Lose the Ricer spoiler though. There are many discrepancies already appearing from what we saw in the pilot and what they are showing us now. One example would be the nano-bot conversion to the attack mode. I'm curious too see if this will stay in the design scheme.
Part 2 - How many people ran out and bought a Tran-Am when the original series came out. In response to the Japanese Ricer comment, I disagree. Though there is a hint of Ricer in the grill work and front/rear body kit. I don't know about the drag type rear wheel set up though. I think I do like this attack mode better than the pilot version. I would like to see the pilot attack mode as KITT's standard mode.
Part 1 - I applaud you on your coverage of the upcoming series. It has taken me a while to get over the Mustang concept, especially since the mustang is scheduled for a re-design in 2010 leaving this KITT outdated by next summer. The Camaro would have a better option, but I can see how budget limitations affected the end decision. I'm sure Ford donated the cars as well as financed part of the pilot.
i watched a vid from american news and it was about the 80s and the old kitt was on it and the guy in it said it was the 'one actually used in the new series in september' WTF? so kitt classic might be back?
This is what I like to refer to as Chav Rider!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks like it turbo boasted into halfords/boyracershop and stuck every blood cheesy/boyracer/tacky conponent part!!! It looks like it couldn't hop a kerb, let alone turbo boast!! The attack mode is because they had to do it to make it stand out from other mustangs which have being kicking for ages now, so it says it all about the selection of car to start with! The Shelby KR version is nice in real life, but just looks like a mustang!
KI2T: Hello, I am KITT. KI3T: No, I am KITT. KI2T: You?? you're nothing like me. KI3T: How so? KI2T: I can go round corners better and am more aerodnyamic. KI3T: I am aerodynamic as well. Got anything else you think you're better at. KI2T: as a matter of fact I do. KI3T: that is. KI2T: I actually have a personality. KI3T:...I have no programmed response for this scenario. KI2T: There's nothing worse than a smart-ass automobile.
I'm a little shocked by this, but then again, you have to keep in mind that we were all blown away when it was unveiled last December that the new KITT was a Mustang, or a KITT-stang (a coinage of mine, no less, yay!).
I like what u said, about having both cars argue with eachother with William Daniels as the voice also what were those last 2 pics? A different version of attack mode or more like a promo car?
Now that second picture of the turbo boost was just me playing around in photoshop. :)
About the doors... if you drop on by to my youtube you will see I asked Gary Scott Thompson about the doors and he says they are not quite Lamborghini doors, but are rather custom doors. Also about KARR, in one of my videos GST reveals that your wishes might come true. ;)
Fast and the Furious meets Transformers!! That's how I see this show!!!!

i can point a few stupid things about the old show, the old kitt is more like kirby, but the new kitt shows he is learning which adds to realism.

I think it's just as you said, a promo car for show. Note that it has the old-skool KR font.
