@vanbismark I believe he means the whole spirit and idea of modern Germany. Napoleon sparked the first real unification spirit, and after the Napoleonic wars the Prussian goverment stopped speaking french and switched to German. One of the small changes toward a unified Germany.

@ceoaalp The problem was not only the reparations. The problem was also that millions of Germans were cut off from their country and were forced under alien yoke, like e.g. 3.5 Million Sudetengermans under Czech rule , or 1 Million Saarländers under French yoke.

@vanbismark I believe he means the whole spirit and idea of modern Germany. Napoleon sparked the first real unification spirit, and after the Napoleonic wars the Prussian goverment stopped speaking french and switched to German. One of the small changes toward a unified Germany.

I was basicly saying, that most experts agree that the first spark of German nationalism was caused by napoleon after he annexed the germans states under France, which has always been natural enemies with Germany.

Excuse me! Are you aware of what France and British had done to Germany. Blaming Germany for the start of WW1 when in fact it was a Serb with connections to a Serbian secret society and that had connections with French and British intelligence that killed the Arch Duke. Then after the war was over both of them put restrictions on Germany's armed forces and made them pay war reparations which in fact cause Germany a severe recession. Germany didn't deserve that and its people didn't either.

@ceoaalp The problem was not only the reparations. The problem was also that millions of Germans were cut off from their country and were forced under alien yoke, like e.g. 3.5 Million Sudetengermans under Czech rule , or 1 Million Saarländers under French yoke.
This was one of the main reasons for WW II.
I am not an admirer of Hitler, but i do understand why the people admired him: Because he freed Germany from the chains of Versailles, step by step, and freed millions of people.
