One of the things that i like the most of interpol is that they are a very normal band with simple riffs but full of heart, i love interpol. and this concert is one of my favorites with that one in milan!! Off course the Aol session is excellent!! look for all them in you tube, you wont regret it!!. In this song is a pretty high tension moment when paul forgot the lyrics, but then in many concerts he used to sing with a trembling voice.

man, yeah, like everybody's sayin': Paul drunk = funny/awesome. But furthermore, when you see him bobbin' his head right before the PDA outro here, you can tell P. Banks--in his heart of hearts--really is all about the music, even if these days he comes across as a bit more stoic. In moments like these, in his younger days, you see he got into this business in the first place because this is where his heart was/is/belongs =)

This was their first big gig, it was obviously televised and I think in this video, or one of the others I've uploaded from the show, it has a backdrop of the crowd, and it's pretty huge.

It was early in their career, they've obviously progressed hugely as musicians, so compared to how they are now, and then, there will always be huge differences, especially in guitar-class.

This was their first taste of a gig on this scale. They said in a recent interview I saw on Youtube about this show that they decided shortly after viewing the show, their level of sobriety really effected their performance. So decided not to get *THIS* drunk before a show again.

Paul sobers up after The New anyway and the performance does improve.
