BULLSHIT!!!!! If it wasn't for the immigrants Oslo would be a dull, boring and bland city. It's the minorities who bring some variation to the food, music and culture to boring Norwegians. If it wasn't for immigrants there would be nothing to eat but bad hot dogs and even worse hamburgers to eat. Every asylum seeker is a suspect in the immigrant officers eyes. So if your case is not well prepared, you're out in hard weather. Our authorities lack flexibility and real understanding.

yeah oslo is nice and simple at day, but in the night the police gets busy. Oslo has 4 times more crime-rate than New York, google on it if you don't believe. im born in Oslo.
and it's very expensive there to like the rest of the country, a 20 pack of cigarettes cost 80 kroner, and that's 10 euro's. Good travel!

Just to put it in context i was replying to a post which was saying how Oslo is pretty grotty despite being such a wealthy city. Think it can be explained only by a serious lack of vision and civic pride. Oslo is a beautiful city but has just suffered at the hands of poor planning in the past and a current lack of vision.

you so didn't go there! For starters we recieved less than €20billion in subsidies and lost €300billion in fishing rights. If it was as easy as getting subsidies why haven't spain, portugal, italy and greece progressed? Ireland is rich because of an educated, english speaking workforce and because we have a VERY close relationship with the United States. Oh, and we're not socially awkward freaks like people in Finland too. We actually have an ability to communicate effectively with people.

I took a trip to Oslo in 2002.
The city, although modern, was shabby and ridden with dust.
But the most disturbing aspect was that Oslo has a large undercurrent of nonwhites from Africa forcing Norwegians to disburse before dark.
Most Norwegians are sophisticated and very intellectual. Just the type of people capable of placing Norwegians in harms way
White farmers in Zimbabwe are all dead.
