  • its so damn amazing

  • Damm youtube stupid limitations on putting links in comments, cant even post a youtube link.

On my previous posts you need to fill in the . and . com

  • And to listen to a exquisite performance of HaeGum (Two strings violin) Check this: youtu be/EK9ozRHcNb8 It is a Doraji Arirang version with orquestra, that will rip your heart apart.

  • Name of the music : Milyang Arirang

Performed by : IS (Infinity of Sound) & Peter Schindler

To listen to, with a good quality just go to the IS myspace 3is3

  • Nice. Korean rock & roll

  • 대박!

  • whats the instrument called that sounds like a Bass Guitar? it's the first thing you hear.

  • Gayageum still experiences constant improvements, while Geo-mun-go remains pretty much in its ancient form. Hae-geum was first introduced to Corea (not modern Korea) from China and has been widely played like a violin. It is maybe a relative of the Chinese Erhu. It also undergoes constant improvements these days. This song is "Milyang-Arirang(Arirang of the region Milyang) and is a variation of the sorrowful traditional song.

  • Geo-mun-go was transferred from the Chinese Jin dynasty to Goguryeo, a powerful ancient Korean kingdom, and improved. It has six strings and is played by a stick called "Sool-dae (dae means a stick.)" Gaya-geum was from Tang dynasty of China to Gaya(a small confederation Korean country) for improvement; it has 12 strings and is played with fingers. . It re-experienced major improvements in the late period of the Chosun dyansty, which gave rise to different versions, one of which has 25 strings.

  • The three musical instruments are Korean traditional instruments, and the rough pronunciations are the Gaya-geum, Hae-geum, and Geo-mun-go. As you may have noticed, geum(금, 琴) represents stringed instruments. while in the case of the Geo-mun-go it's somewhat different. The difference between the look-alike Gaya-geum and Geo-mun-go is considerable; both are improved models of the traditional Chinese instruments, while Geo-mun-go predated Gaya-geum.

  • Gayageum is my favourite! Such a beautiful culture!

  • Very good. My heart is beating. This music like a harmony on the heaven. Beautiful.

  • Haegeum (해금) sounds like crying, tearing women.. its noisy but beautiful.

Gayageum (가야금) sounds as if the instrument played in water.

Geomungo(거문고) has such a power and manlike sound. Korea is a small country but I felt a continent through the instrument!

  • Id like to be a musician like Peter .. he goes into other culture and shows their soul inside thats not just a talent thats his effort to find out how othet people think an live... and he understands perfectly. Peter and I.S and Saltacello rocks!!!!!!

  • Yeah~ China even don't know how many versions of Arirang Korea has...hahaha..

  • china put arirong on chinese heritage. china is big but they steal other countries' culture. i guess their culture is shit. thats why they try to get arirang from small country, korea.

  • I'm not sure 100% but I believe that the instruments are (from left to right): (grand) Piano, Gayageum [가야금], Haegeum [해금], Geomungo [거문고].

  • This song is Miryang Arirang!!

    Korean Folk song.

  • @lovecsunp88 THANK GOD SOMEBODY KNEW XD, I was wondering what the name of this song was for weeks.

  • Does this song have a name?

  • Can anyone tell me what instrument the girl is playing at 0:33 , pretty intresting XD

  • The 2 stringed bow instrument you refer to is a Haegum, similiar to the chinese Erhu, Do search for erhu and you will find plenty of music for it but Haegum music is less common.

  • @ValExperimenter what is the instrument being played with a stick doesn't look like a gayageum. or is it?

  • @algoseer The instrument is a geomungo which has seven strings the Chinese guqin is probably the closest instrument to this. The guqin is an ancient instrument over 3000 years old. If you have seen the movie hero, in the fight scene between jet li and donnie yen there is an old guy playing guqin

  • @Thetimewillgoonn its called 'hae-geum'. i guess u also knew this and erhu is very similar. its adapted from song, old empire of china, in 12nd century. after that, it was changed some features for koreans, and now one of korean traditional instruments.

  • talk about a mean slap bass. She rivals less claypool on whatever that thing she was playing.

  • bello !!!!

  • @Salazahr, I have never actually posted a comment before, but your comment provoked me into doing so, I can see why you believe Americans don't have a culture with all that I have learn about the American history, but as you know the US is considered a melting pot of ethnicity, so to define Americans as having no culture you are basically dehumanizing/taunting billions of people from all sorts of cultures in which matter of fact include yours...

  • since, i don't know who you are personally, I am not bashing you, but just to help better understand that yes, words can hurt, and so to be cautious about what you say...

And, Yes, this video is awesome, I heard it once and haven't been able to find it, now that I have, I'll probably listen to it about 6 times before I get bored....

  • @Salazahr:Dont be an racist...

why you say things like that about americans?

    Ps:im not american

    nice sonds btw ;)

  • @Salazahr

Salazahr, please help me define culture. America is a young 200+ yrs old country, compare to thousand of years to other country. Please help yourself and see that. If there is a country there is a culture, the degree of culture from one country to the next might be different.

  • holy shit, this is amazing!!

  • wow wow wow this is crazy awesome!!!

    thanks so much for sharing!

  • Oh my god, such power! :'D
