I played as a kid, but just bought a Weltmeister Diana and took up the playing again. I'm right now trying to locate about 50 of the accordion youtubers videos to burn on disc. I'm VERY picky, to say the least. I will invite my old man to join me one night and watch these videos together. We both love accordion.
I have to say that this very video is right now on top of the list. I must have watched it over 50 times. You are so talented and play so tasteful I get shivers inside my body.
Thanks for your comments, especially the one about shivering! It's become one of my favorites. I have made a few changes in how I play it--actually, I seem to change something about it nearly every week, so it would be a bit different if I recorded it today. Hopefully a bit better, but one never knows.
Bravo! I have heard this beautiful tune performed by many artists and yours is one of the best renditions. It would make Joseph Colombo & Toni Murena proud! Joe in Galveston TX
Congratulations! There was only one version of Indifference that I liked, until I found your version this evening. It has less to do with the fact that both are played on the Roland system, but more the artistic expression delivered to the listener. I enjoy your other videos as well (Pink Panther is excellent!). Thanks for posting (and don't stop)!
For this version I am using the jazz accordion bass and chord--these are reeds I didn't initially like, but decided to try them because they have a distinct sound. More specifics of the settings I used are in my extended description above.
Absolutely beautiful Richard. This reminds me of the pieces that you played in your CD "Melodies For Life". It is an excellent example of what we have talked about so many times - what makes certain music appealing and other music tiring. I agree with both Mike and Silvia that you play this piece much more expressively than so many others do. Excellent dynamic expression and rubato in just the right places. You have the magic touch Richard.
Thanks, Mike. There are a lot of versions of this song--I also have played it in the fast style, but decided I wanted to see how it would sound played in a relaxed and changing tempo.
Thanks--I have toned down the percussion a bit on the registration I'll use for playing it live. I just wanted a hint of percussion, but probably have a bit more than I desired. So many choices to make!

Thanks, Rich.
I agree it's helpful to know what settings 7x users are employing. Silvia is the one who does so most consistently and thoroughly.
