There is not really any such thing as "most common". However there is a torrent on the RPTools forums that someone created that has about 2 gigs worth. As for installing them, you don't. All you do is go to File->Add Resource and point it at the directory where you have the graphics saved.
I should also mention that there is now a complete set of tutorials linked from the RPTools website. They are a little out of date, but still useful.

As the description says it is a demo for MapTool. You can find that by Googling the name.

Maptool is a really ambiguous name. You get far too many GPS and topographical mapping applications.

@AIWAC MapTool is the Virtual Table Top component of the RPTools (rptools.net) toolkit, which is a slightly less ambiguous name.
