Me and Eddie Money and His Then Wife Margo were at a time Friends Anytime eddie came to new orleans I was there with him and his even before and also after Margo but we fell out a few years back I guess we all have bad days Eddie thanks for the memories brother but stop being a Dick ;)
I used to sit in with Eddie back in the 70's down at Ruthie's Inn in Berkeley, Ca. His original guitar player, Johnny Guiterrez..aka Johnny Gunn was a friend of mine....He should be in the HOF!!!!! Bassman.....
In the 1980's Eddie Money caused a lot of speeding tickets while people were rockin' out and driving to his music. Thanks Eddie, the memory was worth every cent!
This is the mark of a true musical talent when they sound exactly the same as the studio version. Eddie you have a beautiful voice and are one helluva talented man. Love you. :)
I say eddie money in 1978, with about 100 people in the audience-- we walked up to the third row for the show--., he cannot have performed better. Then he took off...
I came back 32 years later to see this video. How popular is that..... thanks Money, its been a long time and I still like your work...........
Summer of 1979. I was all of 15. Out every night until 10 or later, hanging with my friends, doing stuff teens in the late '70s did... Great memories of this song....
OH I just gotta say.... THIS VIDEO IS GREAT. Turn it up and play it on full screen. If it dont get your goosebumps up you ain't hearing it. Ed sounds sooooooo good here. After hearing this one you got to admit THE MAN IS TALENTED. He may be a little old but theres a reason he is still here. Got the rock and roll in his soul for sure.
All I can say is I LOVE THAT MAN all his songs are just what you need when you need good music ......he brings back memories of being being younger and loved the great times....thanks for posting.....
Timeless!! Eddie Money is one of the best performers i've seen live. When I was in the Navy he did a concert on base and didn't charge for tickets. What a class act!
Schwartzzie: Grow up(LOL), let them rock how they want. I'll never forget this story I heard from a spring break show back in the day. dude says everyone was filing out and heading to thee next thing after an EM show but he hadn't heard his favorite tune in the set. So he asks EM why he didn't play it and EM stops the breakdown of equipment, calls the band back out and plays the song, kick-ass style, for the guy and his girl. alone in the seats, like he was playing to 10k people.Class.
Don't get me wrong I love Eddie. But, he needs to tell his bandmates NO FUCKING MULLETS!!! These guys look ridiculous! I know "it's not about how you loook man, it's the music." Sorry it's both. The music means more. But, who want s to look at some dipshit with bad hair? Not me!
Does Eddie Still Smoke? man back in the 80's when I used to ge see him in concert he always had a cigarette going! Even on his album covers he's always hold'n a JIB. Anyone know if he's still smoking?
I saw Eddie at Paso Robles free stage this year! He was a little over weight and deaf and oversang...but he was the best show I'v ever seen. Thanks to Eddie for his extra-ordinary level of entertainment and love and appreciation of the art of music.
yah, I recently saw him in 9/2009 and he's out of touch with his audience, it's amazing he's still gigging.. as he seemed really out of it. Nothing that I expected. His band played well, he needs a vacation
i saw him after his show, that i paid for, and i asked him to sign my ticket stup, that was like 45 dollars, and he like yelled at me that i had to buy something to get something signed like a t shirt or something
This is my favorite.Saw him live in 2000.Hestill knows how 2 put on a great show.
i miss the 80's.best time to grow up.Music ment something then.now it's all about $,and you can't understand a word.Wish I could go back in time. But that can't happen so this will do.thanks for everything eddie.love you man.
I just hate not being born then, when all this good music was been played and everyone just seem to loved the art of music and lyrics... you just don't see that now days!!! This guy was awsome with his music... i listen to couple his single like take me home tonight and i loved it, whitout knowing who sings it, and now that i had listen to couple of his single, Im jealouse of all those people who had the pleasure to be at a concert or even meet him in person!!!
man i went and seen EM live last night he is getting up there in age and doesnt sound as great as he used to but what makes me kinda mad is they played this song on the radio ever day for the last 2 months and he didnt even play it at the show
check his website he is on a pretty big tour this summer! he sounds great....saw him last year... hey ...we are getting older...always think its strange when people say that...if u still enjoy it...people want to hear...DO it!!
What a great EM song, his best. It seems most people realize this. It's so sad that the overplayed and very tired songs of "two tickets to....." and "baby hold on....." get so much more radio play than this one. At least in Detroit they do.
Have seen Eddie many times! The first time we met him right before the concert at a hotel we were at and took a pic with him. Have been rocking with him every since. Thanks Eddie...LOVE YA!
Just a shame we all have to get older. The high notes aren't what they were, but this guy still typlifies what 70's arena rock was about. Better choice then his original job as a NYPD officer.
OMG!You Should see me.Married to the same great guy for over 2 decades,Soccer-Mom,Baseball Cheerleader to my boys,
that song still reminds me of what is right with the world today.I wish I could see him but I will be at my Michigan Lake House over the July 4 weekend. He is playing close to home-
marauder012, why would you not expect much? every year he comes here, he is really good...eddie takes a break to let his daughter sing. she aint bad and he is almost 60 so i cut him a break....the rest of his set is great!
I met Eddie & Mark Lindsay @ Mark's Rock n Roll Cafe. Both very approachable. I also got some great pics with both. I brought to their attention they should perform together & do a dual Saxaphone solo.
This is the exact recording on one of Eddie's live albums (I call it the "red" album). I can't ever catch who he is saying is on keyboards/piano. That guy makes this performance rock as much as Eddie himself.
He just last night appeared at the Tennessee A&I Fair here in Knoxville, Tennessee!! He rocked!! He's always rocked!!! Hall of Fame shoe-in as far as I'm concerned!!
I've seen him 6x. Last time, about three years ago he was sh-sh-sh-shit faced. Didn't matter though, he was still The Money Man. I'll watch him again and again.
