learn the alphabet and then you can pretty much spell anything you hear....it's not difficult..

いしゃ,　がくせい,　かいしゃいん,　はいゆう,　モデル, and　ビジネス　マン ... If you were to try and write it in english it would be ishya, gakusei, kaishyain, haiyuu, moderu, and bijinesu man.... but honestly, these spellings are sort of meaningless unless you know the japanese vowels and spelling rules.. It is seriously worth the 2-3 weeks of studying the alphabet if you seriously want to learn the language...
