This was dumb... it wasn't even a trick, the dog was just playing with the toy and the toy just happened to be on the lever.

Teach the dog to do it without any toys and I'd be impressed - cause with the toys, he wasn't actually taught anything

i remmeber when animalplanet used to actually teach something now the show groomer has it. although animal related its more about the dam groomers then the dogs. Animal planet used to be educational mainly about animals their abilities,lives ,ect im ok with this but crap like groomer has it should really be rescheduled. it should be next after those dog shows. because inr eality groomer has it doesnt teach shit and it looks like animal abuse those dogs try their best to take of their coats

The same thing has happened to Discovery and Natgeo. So far History is has least still a great place to find educational programs. Sadly it's starting to cater to the simple minded too.

u and me and a small field of people are becoming very rare. I think Tv and lots of things should be balanced . i love education, because these animals are extrodinary and people should know why we need to cherish and appreciate these animals some dont seem to play a role in the peoples eyes but even sharks do they control population,fish control the acid lvs of the sea  crickets are a food source that fuel the lizards and many other creatures to keep doing their job.

Yes, it's really sad

I grew up watching Discovery channel watching Wild discovery and when I fond Animal planet I was so happy. Now TV has dumb down it's standards there are less and less good educational programs. I am sad to see how Discovery has lessen it's documentaries and now animal planet.

At least History still give great stuff like Universe. They gave so many documentaries back to back I was not able to leave my seat.

I know im not the people that lived long ago im just 14 but even at age 10 i knew every time my parents wooped my ass it was for a good reason everywhere you look its vivid. Steve irwin when he 1st died 3 months they honor him showing flashbacks of his great times why dont i see that commercial or cut in animal planet that dude is the very pillar that holds that fucking tv show alive every1 watched him he deserves respect he worthy of entering those gates that we call heaven.yet no respect why?

I dont mind seeing this but remember when animal planet had jeff carwin,steve irwin,and survival man. hell steve irwan was on 10 hours a day that man showed interest in our precious animals and it was educational its fun to learn what amazing abilites these animals have. now adays its about 5 diva dogs living in a mansion ... i liked planets funnies animals alot! but its hard for me to see the icon steve irwan dissapear. IF they want to change the show change the name mtv=music tv yet no music

I was about to bring up MTV too.

they had they great shows! I even enjoyed Meerkat manor, Escape to chimpeden and the one with the orangutans(name escapes me). I LOVE Emergency Vets too.

The least they could do is keep Steve Irwan's documentaries going it's what he died for to teach people about animals and how we are effecting them.
