Goth was created to counter the fashionable disco scene in the late 70's and 80's they were all about flashy outfits so goths just wore plain black and refused to dance like the disco types. Well they use to have okay jewelery and a good make up selection, but that is long gone. Hot Topic caters to wannabes and tweeners. @punksaregayjokes Yeah, pretty much. We also use independent stores that stock alternative clothes as well as the mainstream stores if there is something that could work with our ensemble with a little adjustment and alteration. Some even make their own clothes from scratch.

If we have to use Hot Topic at all, it is either for make-up or that one item we cannot get anywhere else.. (which is then altered to remove any trace of its origins)
