I only know the little Japanese I know from anime. In other words, I still don't know a thing he's saying. But I just love him (just to make sure, i'm straight), because he's just so pationate about his instruments in all of his videos. It's a joy to watch, plus he plays well.

Excuse my ignorance (I'm just now getting started in digital pianos and all that), but how does this work exactly? If you have a digital piano or midi controller you can just plug this module into it and it adds all these voices? Do you have to hook it to a computer too or is that not required?

I'm just wondering because I'll have a Yamaha P-155 digital piano soon and something like this would be awesome if I wanted more voices later on (out of my budget right now though).

a midi capable keyboard is enough. But with a computer you can go deeper in the features of the rack. There are lots of things that you can not control from the front panel.

Check out the owners manual on yamahasynth com /downloads/ manuals ... it's about 100 pages but well organized

why learn an instrument when people could still make money from all the automation available now, you might be able to play the guitar after practicing for years upon years and forgoing an education and a social life, but ive learned programming and music theory in a few short months and i make music that sells for thousands of dollars apiece. i only have one hand, i cant play too many instruments but i should still be able to make music right?

To the person who made a comment about synthesizer companies who emulate guitar sounds. It's not fake fool. They are pre recorded guitar sounds from a studio environment. Anyways they were not designed for u. Turn on the radio and listen to all the hip hop and rnb songs. Now shut up.

motif xs has the most realistic guitars,and to make guitar sound realistic, you gotta play it like a guitar....i.e, when playing chords, don't press all keys at once, but one after the other in rapid succession like strumming; when bending notes, just pitch shift the last note with the wheel, not the notes before it...

if you play it like a guitar, it will sound almost like a guitar, albeit without unwanted noises and more cleaner
