    FIQUE

  • Awesome....so calm...and beautiful

  • luv the cover of this album <3

  • it;'s really beautiful...

  • Beautiful ... :') What does chanson de toile mean?

  • song of weaving

  • It means "Song of fabric"

The song chorus is, "I weave the song/while night rises/a point for each star/song of cloth"

It's a rather abstract, poetic song, from what I can tell without translating word for word

  • it's so beautiful..

  • maravilhosa!

  • wow...

    j'adore les chansons d'Emilie Simon.

  • Images float in my mind and caste shimmers upon a state of bliss....

  • >> Part 2... Nobody go to war To return solitary I will be able to await you Weaving song (ref. x 2) So far from your sky So far from my call Do you hear my heart ? Do you hear my fervour ? (ref. x 2 + return to the beginning...)
  • Weaving song

I will come to take to you

I will be able to defend you

    Beyond the borders

I will tread the ground underfoot

    I will weave songs

At the evening and with raising

    A point for each star

    Weaving song

    (x 2)

  • If it's magic... then why can't it be everlasting ?

  • I don't speak French, but this is just a beautiful song. I wish I could understand the words :)

  • Mon chanson préférée française! J'aime!

    It's so pretty!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Someone translate to the poor ignorants, please, her voice is so beautiful!!!

  • Her voice is like a doll is singing and her best songs in french are the most entracing because her vocals flow so well

  • getting into Emilie's music like the harp touch

  • ca va supre...supre supre mousou

  • Very nice she has such a cute voice! But the picture is kinda freaky. :o) lol

  • "Chanson De Toile" means "Song of Web"

  • I thought it meant 'Canvas Song' because it is about war. like the line ' You don't go to war to return solitary'

  • Was I wrong? Why the thumbs down?

  • @sexylove490 no, painting song

  • omg this is a really beautiful song and shes so pretty I <3 FRENCH MUSIC!!!!!!

  • Very nice song! Probably one of the best singers in the world!

  • .........what r yal talknig about???

  • why are you people argueing about FashunWhore27's grammar? honestly listen to the song and leave people alone because they dont type in correct english... its the interenet... google lolcats... and almost all languages are a distortion of latin (besides some such as russian and asian languages and arabic languages) so are you gunna start bagging on everyone who doesnt speak propper Latin.. its a pointless argument... so just listen to the song.. its not even in english :P

  • magnifique

  • So beautiful!

  • Cet pas possible , cet une fée.

  • Tout simplement magnifique !

  • Shes awsumm, i dont get wat deh hell she sez, but shes awsumm x]

  • Why do you put so much effort into making an error in every word you write, distorting the English language like that? Why not work in the opposite direction by putting just as much effort into writing it correctly?

  • Tojajola:

What would be the difference anyway?

How is your effort in keeping something "correct" is better than an effort in "distorting" it?

What do you care what a person puts effort in?

People live as they like. Everyone's unique. Everybody does what they want. I don't believe that this harms your body or soul in any kind of way. Don't be pointlessly annoying.

  • Thankyew Mr.AlexdDark!! Sumone hoo fucken gets meh!!

  • AlexdDark, in response to your comment: the harm occurs at the magnified, macro level, when the pure act of distorting written language for "flash" and/or the desperate need for individuality becomes the only way one knows how to communicate. The increase in texting, writing in abreviations and code, and the decrease in reading and writing is leading our generation into the path of intellectual handicap. FashunWhore27 is not harming me, she is harming herself.

  • Tojajola, don't you think that language is something that constantly develops? I'm not a great fan of text speak, but it is nevertheless an evolution in our language that is unlikely to simply disappear, so why not embrace it? The language we speak nowadays is very different to that spoken 200 or even 60 years ago. Language develops, if not, it would become stagnant and boring. Bl8z.

  • I agree. Eventually the world will have only a small group of people who can write fluently.

I really think FashionWhore27's distortion of the English language is repulsive and makes her seem dim-witted.

  • Of course not.

People will always appreciate good spelling and clear language. Correct english is not going to dissappear ever. mainly because this weird new language is really hard to read.

  • But correct English is already distorted from Old English, look at how beautiful and flowing it was, and I honestly believe the deteriation of spoken and written English is declining with time and coming closer to something ugly and deformed as "FashionWhore27" was showing some of the "cool" things the coming generations are getting more and more into. so I agree with "MetaKittie" on every point.

  • if "she" is really a girl.... XD

  • Fuck fancy shyt! I dunn care uff yew dunn liyke how i riyte, ehts much easier ferr meh and i dunn put as much effert as yer think. [if yew saw meh riyte now, im givinq yew the tounge thing daht kids do]

  • No, kids actually don't do that.

They learned to write at school.

If I read what you wrote just now, I wouldn't be surprised if you just found out how to spell 'school' .

  • Look how stupid you are.

  • Wow. yuu actually have no liyfe tuh go through comments juss tuh writee daht. congrats yuu juss wasted 30 seconds of yurr liyfee :]

  • It may take you, someone with limited grasp of their own language, 30 seconds to purposefully mispell words to the point where they are not even phonetically correct. But it took me <5 well spent seconds to scroll down, read your idiocy and comment on your stupidity.

I suspect you have already wasted more time writing out that one sentence and will spend even more reading this that i have writing it.

  • Heh... Your grammar made me giggle.. :)

Thanks for making my day then ^-^

  • First of all, I think that everyone is getting far too into this argument.

Personally, I defend proper grammar and spelling, simply because when grammar and spelling are misused, words are given the wrong meanings. For example, when one used "your" in the place of "you're", they're using a possessive pronoun. This is applicable in many other instances.

All I'll say is that many people find your style of writing obnoxious, superfluous, and ignorant.

  • hahahaahah i agree with you tojojola, it puts you in the habit of writing wrong. but i guess it could be a skill, i mean i sure as hell can't do it fluently...but then again what use is it? :P

love emilie simon, she made me start learning french again, i still suck though. FOR NOW

    MAITENANT... ? haha

So you know it doesn't really put you in the habit of doing it most of the time. I'm a writer and when I talk to my friends I talk like her. I say things like "chu arez mah bestiez buddiekins mah kootie!" and I still can write normal at the drop of a dime. I've been typing like that for a few years now. If FashunWhore27 where to write an essay while texting their friend they wud probibly be able to text like that and type the essay correctly.

  • i just don't see the point of writing like that at all. i guess if someone wanted to warp the beauty of a well crafted language then go right ahead.

but who can really be arsed doing that.

you could argue that language is constantly evolving. it's just annoying to read shit like that.

  • there really isnt a point except some is sposed to sond like baby talk sometimes... besides... engish is already warped so it hasnt been beautiful for a long time.. theres more slang used now in days then ever... but there has always been slang... so well... thats kind of the beauty of it.. that it keeps evolving... or im gunna start saying "Gag me with a spoon" and "tubular"... and u really dont have to read peoples comments that are written like that. its easier to ignore then write for a min

  • i hate baby talk hahaha!

maybe that's why it annoys me so much :S

wow, gag me with a spoon i have never heard... that's AWESOME lol.

i know it's easier to ignore them, but oh, isn't it fun shit-stirring? ;)

nah not really, i do hate writing argumentative stuff on youtube pages, since it's about the video, but sometimes you just can't help yourself. i'm sure there's some things that would annoy you so much you'd just have to make a comment, even though there's no point usually :P

  • um... when people talk about completely off topic stuff... such as people argueing about propper english while listening to a french song... confusing lol and gag me with a spoon was popular in i think... the 70s or 60s.. i may be wrong.. lol o well

  • yes you most likely are wrong

  • lol off by 2 decades.... its from the 80s ^.^

  • hahaha aaahhhh cool

well i'm gonna use it a lot more from now on, and i mean a lot.

i'm glad i learned something from this :P

it can replace my "well paint me green and call me gumby" that i rarely ever use but makes me laugh :)

  • it means like.... "Ew id rather u gag me with a spoon" its that bad kinda thing... like...

"your ex is comming this way"

    "gag me with a spoon"

  • wow

that certainly says a lot lol

    i like it.

  • yep...

i love this song ^.^ its amazing

    it hink thats right!

    X

  • I think its actually j'adore. <3

    lolhehe ^-^

  • It could go either way I believe. J'adore = I love/adore and Je l'adore = I love/adore it. Technically he makes sense the way he put it. A full sentence. ;]

  • You're right "forblockedvideos"

    ^^

  • Hermosa canción :)
