...Why is it the right cries and cries for deregulation and less government, until the shit hits the fan. The government doesn't own the oil companies dummies, would you rather they nationalize the oil companies, or use tax dollars to solve this. All this video does is make stupid people think... yea it's them democrats to blame... When in reality any kind of energy policy is tied up by congressional republicans and threatened by vetoes from the Bush administration... you people are terrible.
I am all FOR DRILLING....THREE MILES FROM MEL SEMBLERS HOUSE ON TREASURE ISLAND FLORIDA!!!! FOUNDER OF FREEDOMS WATCH...AND THE REPUBLICAN JEWISH CARTEL !!!!
if the leaders of foreign countries could hear you say that... they'd be laughing. instead of demanding new energy that we are wholly capable of, most of the american people actually believe that drilling is the solution. we'd still be 98% dependent on foreign oil. absolutely pathetic. everyone that wants drilling is an idiot. shut up.
funkatram...relax were on the same side of the issue....I am being SARCASTIC regarding drilling. Sembler is one of the principle money men who have greased the tracks for the GOP going all the way back to Reagan. That also includes the current candidates McCain-Palin. You can drill in every pocket of America and we will still have speculators jacking the price every time there is a hurricane or skirmish anywhere in the world that oil is produced.
Wow. What an ironic ad. President Bush has had the most vacation days (506 and counting) of any president. George, Sheldon, Bradley, Karl, Carl, Ari, Ed, Kevin, Howard, John, (McCain, of course!) among so many others! They're all in on it. Their bullshit probably won't get McCain elected, thank God.
You might want to check how many days Obama has actually spent doing the Senate gig... You want to talk about not doing someone's work... Obama is the king of that.
Solar - ummm..OK. Have you really looked into how many solar panels it would take to run even one good sized city? There is only so many sq. feet of available space. The math (and physics) just don't work out. Supplement - maybe in a very limited form.
I'm sorry guys, but the world does not revolve around the United States. Even if there is off-shore drilling, gas prices will not go down.
India and China have a huge say in the demand for oil. You think if we give oil companies more supply they are going to give Americans a hometown discount?
Stopping any legislation for anything that might benefit this country, or the people of this country, is a badge of honor to Republicans.
"The strategy of being obstructionist can work or fail...and so far it's working for us. Democrats are taking the blame for not getting anything done."
(R)Trent Lott, Roll Call, April 18, 2007
Senate Republicans are blocking renewable energy and oil speculation legislation so that America can remain at the mercy of Big Oil. You are all being played.
I hope some day- the major oil companies- especially Exxon Mobil get fed up with the confiscatory taxes and insults hurled at them by the liberals in this country to the point where they leave the USA- and take their 80,000 plus jobs with them.
To go a step further- they should stop providing oil to the USA and the ungrateful people who blame them for everything. Exxon Mobil makes 2/3 of its sales outside the USA - and one day they may tell Peloser and the dems to go to he%%. I cannot wait.
Guess who can call congress back into session? THE PRESIDENT. That's a function of the executive branch. So why is this "ad" calling congress to do Bush's function? Because it's a gimmick. Why was McCain asking Obama to "join him in calling them back to the capitol?" Why is McSame not calling on the Prez? Gimmicks, tricks, Paris, Brittany. Why is McCain the "energy man" all of a sudden? Check his 26 year record and see his blank slate energy record ... It's a gimmick.
So what if the president can call Congress back into session, he cannot set the agenda. If he calls them back all the dems have to do is bring up some stupid good for nothing crap. He cannot guarantee they will talk about energy, so it's a waste of time and power on his part.
The ball is in the Dem's court. Good luck with that. They are single handedly destroying O's chance at the presidency. I say keep it up.... (ok with a lot of help from O himself)
Funny- dems weren't the ones who stuck around after hours recently to force a vote on offshore drilling. Republicans weren't the ones who ordered the lights off and the cameras out, Peloser did. Peloser is blocking everything that doesnt fit the dems bullsh*t environmental alarmism agenda. Dems want gasoline to be $ 10 a gallon so you'll drive less and have less freedom. Truth is coming out- and while both parties are to blame in our energy crisis, it's clear that the dems are the party of no!
I think this ad should be aired all across the country.... our leadership in congress (for the most part) is completely useless and should all be fired.
I dont know for sure- but I'd guess this ad may be running in select states/locales... To make it nationwide however would probably require some hefty donations to freedomswatch...

The current situation illustrates perfectly the reason we need TERM LIMITS for congress critters and Senators...
They get so wrapped up in playing politics that they completely forget who they were hired to represent.

Actually, it was the REPUBLICANS who VOTED AGAINST REGULATING OIL SPECULATORS, H.R. 4066, during the week before their vacations.
The world does not revolve around oil drilling, but around the Sun. Why won't they talk about Solar, which has FREE delivery? Oh. Right.

Congress, get back to work... No wonder they have such a low rating with their constituents.
We need solutions now... and unfortunately, Nancy and Democratic crew do not want to work for the public good.
