1) You're quoting Denton. He's been proven innumerable times to be a very poor source. You might as well quote Gish.

2) You miss understand the word "evidence" or "support"- one of the two. It's not possible to evidence to support- or deny - your proposition, any more than it is possible for God to create a rock too big for him to lift.

The Discovery Institute has purposely worked to confuse the issue and obscure it, recognizing that "intelligent design" seems like a reasonable idea to people of faith like me and you. Indeed, the idea that there is a designer has long been advocated by theistic evolutionists- we cal this designer God, and are not trying to be deceptive about that.

Well, yes, adaptation will change an organism, but only with natural selection. Evolution can't occur through adaptation alone any more than it can occur by chance.

Scientists give life a lot of credit for the complexity bit. But we always love being surprised!

Such a shame that evolution in the common understanding is accurately reflected in the Pokemon video. It leads to rejection by fundamentalists, thinking that evolution is this magical thing where one creature is transformed into another, through a process of hopeful monsters, rather than a slow change by increments through a process of chance and natural selection operating on the most helpful aspects within a given environment.

Well...You seem to be operating under the assumption that something can be proved right in science. Since it can't, yes, there are aspects of evolution that were proved wrong, just as there are of any theory. And of course, since overwhelming data supports evolution, scientists consider it a fact, as they do with any theory, with the caveat that, as with anything in science, if something better comes along evolution would be dropped like a bad habit. It's not a matter of faith, after all.

Exactly. Literal Creationists and IDists think that evolution advocates relatively instant change, or something out of X-Men. There are no Hopeful Monsters- not in short time spans. (Though there are possibilities for a relatively quick speciation event within only 100,000 years.) I would actually disagree with this. Though many of the rank and file of Literal Creationists don't realize it, most IDists support evolution, most of the time. They just think there are certain times when a creator stepped in to clean things up. Thus they are neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm, and shall be spat out of the mouth of God.
