Nuclear fission produces a few kilograms of waste for massive amounts of electricity. Nuclear fission would produce unimaginable amounts of energy while creating zero waste. I'll agree that cold fusion has been in development for some time and that it's always been a few years away, but if it got a fraction of the kind of funding that the war effort has, we'd all have fusion reactors in our cars.

I'd rather live next to a nuclear plant than a coal plant. Nuclear waste is properly handled and stored. The waste from coal plants pollutes the air and the environment. There's virtually no risk in living next to a nuclear plant. There's so many safe guards against disaster, it's mind boggling. And before you quote five-mile or Chernobyl, one didn't even lead to any deaths and the other was a plant in soviet russia that was woefully unsafe.
No, what I said was correct. Fission uses a small amount of nuclear fuel to produce enormous amounts of energy, but it does produce waste. The end result of fusion is non-radioactive material.

1) he must be born in the USA.
2) he must be born of two American parents.

When more people get the right degrees to get into the right employment fields and institutions, such as gov't environmental dept, or NOAA, or peer reviewed strategy centers or think tanks, then we can actually make a difference. Peer reviewed reports supporting change from coal and oil to wind and solar are hindered by the fact that there are so few PRE's supporting the sustainability in the long run and having the position to present it.

The source of the shortage of natural gas in the pipelines of TX, NM is the low temperatures due to the monster winter storms affecting those areas, not Obama. The pipelines in the southwest are not insulated (as in the north) to withstand sub-freezing temperatures. I think Mr Jones is jumping the gun on this one.
It is time to embrace other ways to meet our energy demands.

2. Our infrastructure is being dismantled through EPA regulations.
3. Oil and gas, while extremely plentiful on US soil, cannot be reasonably harvested or refined because of 1 & 2.

Nuclear fission produces a few kilograms of waste for massive amounts of electricity. Nuclear fission would produce unimaginable amounts of energy while creating zero waste. I'll agree that cold fusion has been in development for some time and that it's always been a few years away, but if it got a fraction of the kind of funding that the war effort has, we'd all have fusion reactors in our cars.

I'd rather live next to a nuclear plant than a coal plant. Nuclear waste is properly handled and stored. The waste from coal plants pollutes the air and the environment. There's virtually no risk in living next to a nuclear plant. There's so many safe guards against disaster, it's mind boggling. And before you quote five-mile or Chernobyl, one didn't even lead to any deaths and the other was a plant in soviet russia that was woefully unsafe.

No, what I said was correct. Fission uses a small amount of nuclear fuel to produce enormous amounts of energy, but it does produce waste. The end result of fusion is non-radioactive material.
