This is the best version of Roll Over Lay Down. I remember it like it was yesterday coz I had the single which was released in 1975. This is a video clip made for that single which was recorded live - and guess what. They are actually lip-synching here in a studio using this version as the backing. Check out Rossi's lead break at 0:35 and you notice that he's not actually playing his guitar but his lead break in still going. Parfitt is playing the rhythm section. It's great to see 'em anyway!

I knew this was recorded at Southend in 1975, but I thought this was a clip from that exact concert. But yes I see it now, although you can do stuff on the neck of the guitar without using your strumming hand(you have to have it very loud).

My favorite band, also one of the best live bands, not neccesarily because of pyrotechnics or anything like that, but because they delivered and had fun on stage, not to mention that they sounded better live than on studio, especially in their prime time during the 70's. The band that I listen to the most since my 12th, and I am 18 now. Just brilliant, just a shame that they had gone more mainstream during the 80's.

@sempervivum44 Music snobbery has a large part to play in it. Those people who cannot or will not appreciate the simplicity of Quo's, 'heads down no nonsense', boogie style of playing. To these people, it's not sophisticated enough. That, and the fact that Quo have never, ever been fashionable, and are therefore an, 'easy target', for slagging off. None of which has ever bothered Quo, themselves, of their loyal followers.
