1. if i grow in my room is it possible to keep it indoor at all times from start to finish no ventilation? cant risk any smell leaking out the room (i have an air conditioner i can run frequently without suspicion)

2. can it just grow from one single 400W HPS globe

you'll be risking mold growing on your plants if you have no ventilation and possibly the grow room being too hot. you'll at the least need some sort of fan going at all times. 400w hps will definitely be enough for 3-4 plants - just make sure your walls are white or put up some aluminum foil surrounding the plants to reflect light so that the lower portion of your plants will get some light for maximum yield.
